"No! No!" Daisy laughs, "I was out of town with the Rat problem came up, so I don't know about that one and there's a reason no one has taken that graveyard job. There be undead out there and I much prefer dead to stay dead. Me, I'm not touching that graveyard job unless I've got a couple of Priests with holy symbols, holy water, and holy weapons to lead the way followed by a handful of big strong fighting men, like Da here behind them. Even then I'd stay at the back and just encourage them along."

Trawets nods and replies I am in as well. A drink beforehand sounds wonderful.

{Elizabeth}

Elizabeth resumes eating her breakfast, though she can't help but keep the dagger balanced in her lap, her fingers idly tracing the designs on the hilt.

Four mornings later...

...a bleary eyed group all with headaches, sour stomachs, and mouths that taste like they have been sucking on sand stumble into the Common's Room on the second floor of The Guild Hall. Awaiting them, they find, breakfast....if they can stomach it down.

The Guild Master is sitting in a comfortable chair reading a broadsheet. He lowers it and says with a grin, "I've been reading about some of your high times the past few days. From the looks of you burning the candle at both ends is going to burn you out quickly. However, I'll let the way you are feeling now be your guide to future levity."

Rising he says, "There's food and drink and buckets if you can't keep it down. Oh, and some of you could use with another bath! I'll leave you to it."

Master Sikes leaves the room...leaving you to it.

A little while after wild tales of a woman in her shift extrovertly dancing around the outside of the building subside the resultant snarl up in the street traffic also sorts itself out. Vesper emerges from her room for breakfast humming a lively tune and looking very much like she should be a lot more subdued and hungover than she actually appears. From the way she's just picking at fruit and sipping tea it also seems like she's already eaten.

Beaming bonhomie she slides onto a bench and announces with broad smile "For the glory of the Guild Tinu won an archery competition last night! There was even a prize... but we drank it and then had a very fine late supper. Oh, it was a close run contest and went down to the last flight of arrows. However, Tinu and Simon saw off the archers from the City Watch and finally took the prize!" A wicked smile that has no right to be so cheerful plays at her lips as she adds "The glory is all theirs! I just led the cheers for the Guild... and during the shoot I helped pick up some of the spent arrows...".

{Elizabeth}

"I took a bath." Elizabeth takes a bite of food and massages her forehead. "In Lord Whatshisface's castle."

Vesper chuckles then shifts into astonishment settling first for "Who?" then "Did he? Did you??? Are you alright?"

"I don't know what he did." Elizabeth frowns in confusion. "Oh wait, yes I do. He was throwing coins at the wall with Galreth. Dunno why. Men are weird. Don't think it was the Big Man who like, controls the city or whatever. Some other rich guy who lived with him, I guess. Of course I'm alright. I mean, the maid walked off with my dress or something I think. But they got me another one, so it's fine."

Vesper looks much relieved then agrees yet seemingly misplaces her train of thought "You are quite right - men are indeed sometimes... really useful... ah... um... weird! Just as you say!" She rallies with "So it sounds like you had an entirely "civilized" evening then - even among the nobility? Good for you!"

She adds "There's still that scroll to look over - but only if you feel up to it?"

{Elizabeth}

Elizabeth frowns. "Umm. Scroll?"

Vesper replies carefully "We took it as loot during our last trawl though the sewers. A scroll case with a scroll. If you're coming delving with us it might be good for us all to know what's on it...".

(OOC: At least I'm pretty sure there was a scroll! We teed lots of folk up to look at it but never found out what it was... Arguably both Vesper and Galreth could fathom it but a Mage is surely the first port of call for this sort of thing?)

"Oh, I'd be happy to take a look," says Elizabeth, shoving the dagger into her dress pocket.

Draven will come in, actually looking a bit better than he likely should and seeming pretty pleased with the day so far.

"Morning all. I hope you all had as good a time as I did." He'll grab some food and sit. "Let me tell you how Gaurbal and I pulled one over on the tax collector. Gaurbal did most of the actual work and did it well. Snagged his purse in the bar and tossed it into the corner. When time to pay rolled around, he had nothing and decided to play 'do you know who I am' with the guard. That ended... poorly."

Vesper playfully hurls a grape at Draven "Scoundrel - last night you let Tinu and I wander off! We could easily have... won an archery competition... or something!" Perhaps due to hangover her tirade just doesn't seem to have the usual amount of invention or invective in it.

He displays his dexterity by catching the grape in his mouth, chewing it slowly. “Or something.”
