So what kind of game are we looking at everyone? Character styles and such what?

I'm eager to see what you guys are thinking.

Well, I have a concept of the sort of character I'd like to play, but that is pre-generation and we all know how that works out when dice are involved.

So, first question, is are we Randomly Rolling stats and skills or Crafting a Character in some way?

Second question, are we going to do "Group Creation", given the connections rolls/rules in MongTrav?

Oh, and third question, we are using Mongoose Traveller 2022 Updated version, yes?

Because you folk are the best of the best, we'll go with rolling 3d6 (dropping the lowest) per characteristic and assigning them where you like. Skills will be either chosen as allowed or rolled on the charts as normal for character creation.

We'll be using the group creation path, so we'll start by seeing how many terms people want and make sure that we have a chance to see what is happening and link characters together.

As an example, if one player wants three terms and everyone else wants five, we'll roll term by term for the rest of the group and then add in the younger player on the third round with their first term. I'll make a topic for this that we can start using next Friday when the Bounty Hunter book drops. Unless, of course, everyone wants to start in a different career and transfer to bounty hunting in later terms. I'm good either way.

My concept is: A human male named L Spicoli, everyone just calls him Spicoli, he tells no one what the L stands for so don't ask. Spicoli is the Snooper/Hacker/Nerd of the party. He is an expert in Electronics (Computers) & (Comms), Deception, Investigation and Forensics (Admin?). He can fix almost any gear he comes upon, or jury-rig something to do the job, but he's not the most physical guy. He does knows how to fire a pistol, but heaven help you if you were to depend upon him to use it! His career was Agent (Intel then Corporate) before becoming a Bounty Hunter.

I was thinking of a former Imperial Marine commando/sniper that grew tired of the politicized missions (waterboarding Ine Gvar and worse) and walked away. He or she drifted into bounty hunting as a way to control their own application of violence. I'm thinking two terms Marine and two in bounty Hunter. Good armed and unarmed skills along with a scattering of space, invasion and vehicle skills.
