The Sun rises on the stockade. At the time when the San Marcos policemen have been bringing the day's food, the heavy log crossbar is again lifted and the gates swing open. But the two men aren't carrying any food. Morning boys. Well, y'all are in luck. You've only served four days of your sentences, but we're releasing ya. We just don't have time to take care of a stockade bunch. The county sheriff is laid-up from his shotgun wounds, and the poor deputy sheriff has been shot dead. Along with the fella who was yer fellow inmate. You'll have to walk the mile or so to town, then ya claim your horses, guns, and other belongins.
Charlie is up for his action.

Charlie
Charlie walks to town and heads for the office to collect his belongings then to the stable to get his horse.
