"OK then, please move to your right and avoid the pit." Mason moves forward, still checking for traps.

You move to the right side of the hall and proceed south. You find the edge of another pit trap just 10' south of the last one. The day light from outside penetrates no further. To see more you will need a light source.

Halbrad moves to where Xale and Malxeva are, taking care to step on the "path" of colored floor stones.

Worren carefully follows the others.
As the daylight subsides, he takes out one of his continual light copper pieces that he holds aloft in his left hand.

With a bit more light on the subject, Mason looks for the trigger for the latest trap.

"Hold on, another hole here."

Worren's enchanted coin blazes with light illuminating the hall 60 feet ahead of him. The red tile path continues to wind southward into the darkness.
Do you leave Edgar outside?

Mason can see that the floor panel moves down, most likely rotating on a hinge. You would guess that it is triggered by weight.

Xale shows the others the text he saw and makes a note to try and commit it to memory. He then moves forward with the ever-present Malvexa following close behind; a worried frown on her face. When he gets to Mason's position; he says; "My friend; I could cast a spell that will enable me to hopefully detect any more of these dangerous traps and I could then point them out to everyone. On the other hand; you do certainly seem to be doing an outstanding job in locating them yourself. What say you?"; he asks the Monk.

"Well, Thanks." Mason responds before having a Zen moment, and running to jump on the trap, anticipating the fall.

[1d100] = 43 whatever

OOC: What good is it being a monk without using the skills.

The floor opens up as Mason lands. The monk uses the wall of the 10 ' deep pit to slow his decent, however he did not account for the spike lined bottom and desperately tries to avoid landing on one of the spikes.

OOC: 1d6 please. I will give you decreased chance of impalement due to your training.

With his expert acrobatic skills Mason is able to easily avoid damage from the fall by bouncing down the wall of the pit. Sadly his ability does not allow him to avoid all the spikes as he lands.

Damage from spike:
[1d6] = 5
Save vs Poison please.

Mason notices the sickly green tint of dried poison on the other spikes. Fortunately for him the spike he was injured by had no such coating. It was most likely wiped clean by the body of the poor fellow who lies at his feet. The skeletal remains of a halfling dressed in tattered rags is on the floor beneath the monk.

After a quick search of the bottom of the pit, the monk easily scales the wall, returning to the group. "Best we avoid that hole too."

Xale lets out a breath of relief at seeing the Monk climb out of the pit. "If it's all the same to you Mason; I believe I will utilize my spell now to find any more fiendish traps." With that; the Dwarven Fighter-Priest clutches his holy symbol of Dalt and casts Find Traps....

(OOC: I am catching up, but I should be back to normal now - long story short - new DSL modem, no more connection problems)

Elsa watches the party do its work, and make a note to thank the stars that she is with a professional group, as they detect traps and we move forward.
