Tuurma is silent for some time, before answering, unlike her previous impulsive self now carefully weighing her words, not knowing the intentions of the man. The guard seem to have touched upon something here.

"I might be. Why do you ask?"

Catching her other comrades appearing in her peripheral view, she might just have been saved by the bell.

The second guard eventually opens the door again and exits the tower, accompanied by a thin man with long dark hair dressed in drab colored robes. The man looks at the sack with a grimace and motions for Xenos to move around to the side of the building with him where they can talk. "What is it that you actually have there, friend?"

The guard speaking with Tuurma continues to stare at the blood caked woman uncomfortably. "But how can you......err.......never mind. Excuse my question, miss."

The returning guard looks over the oncoming group with trepidation, but doesn't address any of them specifically.

She whistles a bit and kicks a small rock away from her feet.

Xenos nods a brief bow at the man

"Master Nathrak, thank you for seeing me. I apologise for disturbing you, name dropping, and the...state of things. My companions and I have harvested parts from a giant crocodile. My understanding is that they are useful for alchemy and certain sorcery." he looks at the sack "...although they may no longer be at their best."

Drest

Drest listens to the negotiations and stays silent.

Cyril

Even more pale than usual, Cyril limps up to join the group outside the tower. He hears the conversation around Tuurma first and looks the berserker up and down critically. He pipes up "I think the blood suits her in some way. Sure she may want to bathe at some point to feel more comfortable but it really does bring out the grittier aspects of her persona."

Sorry, I might have overlooked that part in the lore... is it a big deal being a Hyperborean? Is it something most people have heard of?

Valkrina

"Croc parts and whale vomit.

Special bits, very precious, very pricey. We won't sell it in the cheap. But give us a favourable deal and we will reduce the asking next time." she adds from.the back of the group.

Outside The Doors

The unidentified man in robes looks at the contents of the bloody sack with disgust. "You are a man of magic and you just slopped all these parts together in a sack? Not exactly the best means of preservation, if you understand me."

He pokes through the contents with a stick, frowning. "The only real parts I could use are the adrenal glands. Are those present in your bloody glob somewhere? If so, I would offer you 10 gold for the whole....."

When he hears Valkrina pipe up about whale puke, he continues. "If there is ambergris involved, I will offer you 50 gold for the bloody lot of it."

The others continue speaking with the guards at the door, getting no closer to entering the building in their current state.

Tuurma yells from behind the others.

"We'll take it!"

Xenos glares at Tuurma and returns his gaze to the man.

"My apologies, please ignore her, she's caused enough problems as it is. Unfortunately we didn't have enough resources to treat these materials in the best way, I won't make the same mistake again. I believe the adrenal glands are in their, I did realise there importance." he looks at Valkrina "As for the ambergris, I will bow to the wisdom and knowledge of my friend here."

The warrior lets the people with better bartering abilities to negotiate how to sell croc mince à la Tuurma and turns to Kang, Drest and Cyril. "It's good to see you survived, Kang. We'll have to keep an eye on things if we want to avoid a similar situation in the future...

I hope we can make a good bargain and hopefully have a roof and warm dinner today. Let's see about tomorrow.

Anyway, what happened with that strange woman back at the oasis? I trust you didn't make anything you... or we, would regret, did you?"

Tuurma seems totally taken by surprise by the monk's remark and looks perplexed. After an uncomfortably long pause, she answers.

"That's okay....I guess. Hey, sorry for killing you like that. It's just....just stay out of the way next time you ask me to kill something, okay? Or if someone really offends my honor. Or, you know, gets in my way when I'm in a bad mood. You know what I mean." She gives Kang a friendly hand on his back, then quickly seem to realize that that's somehow inapropriate and pulls her hand back again.

"As for my emotinal trauma, I think that one's more or less intact. Not your fault though. she says, smiling.

Cyril mutters, "Whale vomit and poorly dissected giant crocodile don't fetch what they used to, that's for sure..." He moves closer to the man of magic and says, "...do you have a wish list of spell components for which you or your colleagues would pay handsomely? I can only imagine it would be an interesting line of work, collecting these things."

Outside The Doors

The robed man finds the small bloody parts he is looking for, demanding to see the ambergris as well. He pulls 50 shiny gold coins out from an inner pocket and counts them for Xenos to see. "Show me this rock of yours and I will trade you these coins for it."

The pair of guards in front of the doors seem relieved when the conversation moves closer to the negotiations around the corner.

The unidentified man looks at Cyril with a furrowed brow. "Many strange items would be commonplace on a sorcerers list of spell components. Crocodile glands and ambergris not withstanding. A physical list would be extensive, but I don't disagree that searching for them all would make for interesting work, friend. You dont look so good. Are you feeling all right?"

The man seems to be growing impatient, ready to make his sale and get back inside the tower.

As the negotiations drag on, three adventure types close in on the area, watching the proceedings from a short distance away.

There is a handsome native man along with another of obvious Moorish decent. Along with them is an attractive red haired woman dressed in a kilt of all things. All three of these folks look as though they could handle themselves in a fight. They watch with interest, looking as if they might eventually come closer to speak with you.

I know at least a couple of players expressed interest in switching groups, and we have 2 new players about to join with one group or the other, so this could all be done right here if you like.

Xenos shows the man the ambergris.

"A goodly sized piece, honoured sir. With respect I think 75 gold would be a fairer sum."

The robed man looks at the shiny black lump with interest.

"That is larger than I expected." He looks at it a little longer and nods his head.

"You are correct, friend. This is worth more than I offered."

He counts out another 50 gold coins and holds them out in his hand.

"I will give you 100 gold coins for the glands and the rock. Take it or leave it, as I really must be getting back inside."
