If so, I will just need to add all interested parties into the group created for this game... in which case, just drop a response that you want to be added (this permission should then be inherited by all the sub-forums as well so this will hopefully just be a one-time thing, per user).
This is confirmed to be the case.

Just reply with your interest and I will add you. Leitz and Rex, you two will be added momentarily.

Instead, present a scenario that is just large enough to get a feel for how the different games and sets of rules handle the common scenarios that a group will run into during a typical game session.
I'll draft out my ideas so far and PM them to you. Let me know if it's the right direction, but either way I need to get it out of my head. :)

Please add me!

I like the idea of a tense negotiation being the entry point into a scaffold of challenges we want to compare between systems.

Some elements that might be nice to have represented on the scaffold:
  • Negotiation/Social Combat
  • Combat with Equivalent Force (Several enemy combatants of roughly equal ability to the PCs)
  • Boss Combat (Single enemy with greater ability than PCs)
  • Puzzle/Trap/Environmental Challenge
  • Healing and Recuperation

Or just add it to the 'Scenario: Q&A' topic.

I don't want anyone to feel like this is my game, or my project.

This is for everyone.

Yes! Especially the 'Healing and Recuperation' idea because I am really tired and frustrated with the 'hit point' system used in D&D.

That is an excellent list Pulpatoon. Healing is a biggie for sure. I think it is often overlooked just how much of an effect that magical healing would have on a setting.

Maybe the "boss" combat happens as a result of whatever happens in the initial scenario, but doesn't have to be a scenario itself.

A finale or denouement of sorts? Or maybe a "two years later" future scene?

Level progression/advancement might be something else worth trying later?

I put up a sort of "you are approaching the village" start.

If you can add a "7th Sea (R&K)" topic I'll work on that, and sort of show one way a DM could take the scenario and run with it.

I'd be game to run at least one of these.

Systems I'd be willing to run for this:

Bushido (there might be some creativity in adapting the scenario depending on what it looks like)
Cold Iron (this would be really cool - a teaser might get folks interested in Cold Iron)
RuneQuest (1e or 2e)

Can you sort the sub-forums alphabetically so folks can find them easier?

Looks like it to me, and there's a RQ thread already. I'll get to work on 7th Sea.

Except for the D&D sub-forums, which I left at the bottom.

I can move those up to fall in line if that will be easier or less confusing.

Those out of line confused me. Since there are so many, they will stand out even positioned alphabetically.

And do please add me, I'll at least run the RQ one if you don't want to add Bushido or Cold Iron.

I really could think of other systems that could be added too, but not sure how crazy you want to go...

I'm guessing the GMs should provide pregens?

Not me, can't stnd them. Besides, if we write this open enough then the same game system could be used for a variety of power levels.

I can provide pregens but haven't decided which to help with lol or even which to join aside from all of them and that is probably more than I want to take one at once lol.

The sub-forums for the different D&D editions have been alphabetized.

You've been added... as have sub-forums for Bushido and Cold Iron.
Sorry, I didn't realize you officially wanted them created yet.
