Re: OCC Talk
Well with a fighter already and a thief mix on the way I suppose we need something arcane, or divine in the mix. Maybe I'll just go with something in those lines.
I'll just make a Gnome Cleric.
HP [1d8+2]=3+2=5
I'll be taking what was on the DM's HP chart from the looks of it.
Starting Money [3d6 x10]=14x10=140

Re: OCC Talk
Working on mine now. If it turns out a halfling druid/thief is not allowed I will switch to a half-orc cleric/thief. Do halflings get the +3 to hit bonus with a sling from the monster manual?
Re: OCC Talk
Druid / thief isn’t listed as a multi-class option, but it sounds fun so let’s go with it.
I’ve always played that the info in the monster manual is for creatures that don’t have character levels.

I will take it. Thanks!
Re: OCC Talk
For Deities, I’d like to use the Greater Deities of the Greyhawk pantheon.

Re: OCC Talk
So which ones of this list? Or do you know of a better listing that shows greater vs lesser and so forth?

Edit: Nvm looks like this link has greater listed further down the page.

Re: OCC Talk
It’s possible to find an absurd number of deities listed for Greyhawk. I like the non-human deities you posted.
For humans:
Greater deities
Beory, goddess of the Oerth, Nature, and Rain.
Boccob, god of Magic, Arcane Knowledge, Balance, and Foresight.
Incabulos, god of Plagues, Sickness, Famine,
Nightmares, Drought, and Disasters.
Istus, goddess of Fate, Destiny, Divination, Future, and Honesty.
Mictlantecuhtli, god of Death, Darkness, Murder, and the Underworld.
Nerull, god of Death, Darkness, Murder, and the Underworld.
Pelor, god of the Sun, Light, Strength, and Healing.
Quetzalcoatl, god of the Air, Birds, and Snakes.
Rao, god of Peace, Reason and Serenity.
Tezcatlipoca, god of the Sun, Moon, the Night, Scheming, Betrayals, and Lightning.
Uvot, god of Prosperity.

Re: OCC Talk
Would a Druid have a particular deity? I thought there was an Old Faith or something like that in Greyhawk for Druids.
Found it:
https://greyhawk-26.obsidianportal.com/ ... -old-faith
Is this OK for a Halfling Druid?

Re: OCC Talk
I think my gnome will be a cleric of Pelor.

Re: OCC Talk
I like to create my characters based on the general theme of the game.
Will we be getting any background of the world written up before we start, or should I go off what you already wrote in the recruitment thread?

Re: OCC Talk
If you’re familiar with Yellowstone in the US, that’s what the landscape looks like. The entire world acts like one giant volcanic hot spot. The non-monstrous races are scattered thinly. There are cities, but they are broken down remnants of what they used to be. They struggle to protect enough land around them to feed their population. More than a day’s journey from a city, only scattered settlements can be found in defensible locations, always prepared to fight off raiders. The elders claim to remember when the world wasn’t broken, but few of them remain, and mostly they’re ignored.
Hopefully that gives you some more information to work with.

Re: OCC Talk
The background is good for me. Does anyone know if 1E has Dex modifiers anywhere for thief Abilities? I thought it was in UA, and it is mentioned there under Thief and armor but I can't find it anywhere.
