Roy looks puzzled after a minute of thinking it over he decides to speak up "Uh well we were supposed to get more supplies to maintain and fix our gear but we probably won't see the parts we need from R&D HQ. Something strange on the call not sure if there is a power struggle going on there or what. Other than that are there any jobs you need us to look into or avoid mayor sir?"

Uh, yeah, not really much on the schedule right now. Kinda hard to do what we do without a vehicle. Got some stuff to do around the firehouse, though, so we'll be able to keep busy until the Ecto is back.

The Mayor gets that glimmer in his eye when Roy speaks up about the phone call from GBI. So you need some goods to run the shop. Alright. I can make that happen. A power struggle huh? Interesting... Very interesting... you keep me up to date on that, okay? Sounds like an interesting opportunity...

He then shifts his gaze over to Lionel. Fair enough. You keep your house clean and I'll see what I can do with this supply situation you have...
And see what I can make of this power struggle you mentioned. Maybe we can use that to our advantage.

The white-suited man grins big and looks back to Roy. Now there is what I like to hear. Remember that mess with the church over on Cavanaugh Road? The one next door to my brother's place of business... We need that to go away. Don't go poking around there anymore, okay? Bad for him, bad for me. Also, stay out of the Caddo Rez. I have to admit that Dr. O'Roark here had some fine ideas, and I am looking into them, but there are still plans in motion out that way... best leave it to me. Other than that, you go right on ahead with what you are doing and... I'll just be in touch. Keep making that money boys. We will all be rolling in it soon.

The thunder booms in the distance and he grins. If there is nothing else, you can go now.

Oh!
he hold up a finger as if having an afterthought as he sucks on his cigar. Let's stay away from those witches. Not a good look for the brand and all that... you know how it is.

Roy "Lionel we have a rental lined up already at the firehouse." he informs. To the mayor he nods his head "Alright mayor sir, we'll avoid all three witches, church and the rez."

Lionel takes his leave of the mayor. When they get outside, he stops and looks at Roy. Roy, why on earth did you promise the mayor we'd stay away from the church, reservation, and the witches? We can't avoid some of those, and if he wants us staying away from the witches, I damn sure want to work with them again.

Roy once sure none of the mayors eyes or ears are nearby "This has got some bad mojo I have a thing for one of the witches so do you really think I meant what I said? Lionel when facing someone like that you just have to play along. This is feeling like some mafia stuff. This mayor can crush us easy from the sounds of it."

The City Hall
The Elevator
September 11, 2018 5:35pm
Nice out!  Cool and cloudy, raining steadily

That being done, the team walks out to see that the secretary has already left for the day and apparently the Mayor will be locking up behind himself.

Once the elevator door closes... Roy's phone goes off. He looks down to see who is calling.

Kelly Green one of the very Blackwell witches the mayor just said to stay clear of...

The car is still waiting downstairs and it takes you back to the Firehouse. The rain blows over during the ride back to home base, and you see the rental waiting around back.

Julia has left for the day but left a note where you can find it upon entering with the keys taped to it.

Joker
When the group gets back to the Firehouse, Joker rushes off to gather some equipment.

He gets a PKE meter, a flashlight, and a set of protective gloves. If they need to see us, we should be prepared for an investigation, yes?

Roy nods his head agreeing with Joker and grabs the keys to the rental.

Good thing we haven't been told to stay away from them, huh? Lionel has a big grin on his face as he says this.

It can't hurt to have some gear. I don't think we need the big guns, but the stuff you grabbed should get us started.

The Road
In the Rental
September 11, 2018 6:35pm
Sunset, cool and cloudy and getting dark, raining intermittedy

The team gathers some basic equipment and pile into the rental. Oooooo... new-ish car smell. It says so right on the air freshener. The engine starts easily and it is soon rolling them down the road. It is certainly roomier than the Jeep and frankly more comfortable of a ride. This truck is much more geared towards the comfort of the passengers than just being a more purely utility vehicle.

The address given to you by Kelly displayed on the dashboard and you can see it leads into the next down north of Fort Smith, Van Buren, which is just across the river which loops around the northside of town on three sides. Come to think of it, has anyone ever looked at a map of the idea? You are guided through downtown Fort Smith and to a road called Clayton Expressway... which makes the long but mostly unobstructed arch around the northernmost edge of town, following the surprisingly underutilized riverfront area. You pass the Sewer plant, which you smell before you see it, and is ironically located on North P Street. Yeah, they have a sense of humor out here. The road mostly seems to cut through overgrown river bottom areas. It isn't until you make the looooooooong turn to hear northeast along the river that you come to something else other than creepy dark trees and tall grass...

There is what looks like a large gathering for a street race on the mostly unused stretch of road... and you have just pulled up to the tail end of it.

Everyone can roll hard cool for perception here.

A youngish man that looks like he could push a dump truck if he wanted to runs up to the window when you come to a stop and knocks on it. Once it rolls down: Road's closed, dudes. You can wait, watch, or lose money racing, but it will be a good 20 mins. If you are in a hurry, best bet is probably to just chill out.

Before we do any direct reply posts, let's check the perception rolls.
