2/ But before you do, can you transfer his character over to me? I want to continue to run him as an NPC.

This part, I'm pretty sure, is a Greg thing.

I want to wait to take care of your first request until after control of the character sheet has been taken care of.

I can (and have) removed that private forum from your game, but actually removing their permissions from your game is something you can update:

How to add players to your campaign

The instructions in the above link are written more with an "add a player" slant, but, once you switch to 'Manage Groups' and select your game, each player will have a checkbox on the right-hand side. Click it, then select the remove or delete option from the drop-down at the bottom.
