Ko-Nan tries to move towards this new foulness - eager to add it's entrails to the gore already dripping from his blade.

Monique Quan
Monique saw the 2 larger monsters coming their way and angry and grief-stricken over the loss of McCoy, she grabbed a javelin out of her quiver and launched it at one of them (A2) while yelling out; "GET AWAY FROM MY FRIENDS YOU......MEAN LOOKING MONSTERS!"
[1d20+1] = 5+1 = 6....wow....this dice roller hates me....

Chaka looks at the strange creatures in the hall. With a gasp he looks and sees if there is anything that can point as a weakness...
OOC: INT check?

Tullia
After hearing the approach of the monsters, she reaches back for her bow and an arrow. She will try to hit with one arrow, and then use her sword.
Uck. There are big ones!
long bow/arrow-to hit [1d20] = 1
In her haste, she drops the arrow before she gets it nocked.
Damn. After that, it is sword time.

'Astro-Medicine' Chamber, Castle U.S.S. Enterprise
The Barren Wasteland, Forbidden Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Day Four. Night. March 28th, 912 CY
A seven foot tall monstrosity lunges at the questers of The Kirk with alarming speed! Razor sharp claws and fangs rend Monique's iron body without mercy!
(10 hp damage) Frightfully fast, none of the adventurers can hit it!
Maskelyn the trickster uses the last of his magic to conjure the disembodied
roar of the gargantuan monster king from the jungle chamber!
The black serpentine creature in the corridor
(A2) darts its hideous elongated head, scanning rapidly for the source.
Hans rolls over a table and drops down behind it as Chaka stares agape at the terrifying things. Fast, strong, feral, deadly; he cannot tell whether they are animals or intelligent beings.
Ko-Nan pushes toward the front, but the cramped confines of the chamber prevent him from getting within ax length of the ferocious creatures! Suddenly, a door on his right hand
swooshes open and another hissing ebon horror appears!
(A3)

Maskelyn
Knowing his place, Maskelyn stays low and wishes he could be invisible. He'll only move if he's in direct danger from one of these new horrors.

Jack
Terrified by the sudden appearance of the newcomer, the cleric nevertheless steps in front of Maskelyn in order to protect the illusionist. Of all the unusual things seen to this point in the castle, this is the worst of the lot. Jack swings his mace at the oversized head of the bizarre beast.

Tullia
She realizes that the creatures are far stronger than most of the party and that their weapons are likely useless. She will look around for a large piece of furniture that can pin down at least one of them.
In a different game, my pc had no real weapons, but furniture is not a bad substitute. Pinned the baddy by heaving a sofa on him

Hans the Shrewd
While the eyeless horrors are momentarily distracted by the thunderous roar in the corridor, Hans takes the opportunity to hide in the most likely place in the room.
"Blend... blend... disappear!" he murmurs while methodically rubbing his face, and he begins to melt into the shadows.
OoC: Some DMs prefer to make Hide in Shadows rolls themselves. If there are no shadows, he'll just hide under/behind something.

Monique Quan
"AHHH!" Monique screams through her unchanging mechanical face, half in 'pain' and half in anger....
She swung her her spiked mace at the monster, hoping that the threat would be eliminated quickly....
[1d20+1] = 9+1 = 10
Okay seriously....EVERY roll I have made for this character has been 10 or less....is there another dice roller I can use?

'Astro-Medicine' Chamber, Castle U.S.S. Enterprise
The Barren Wasteland, Forbidden Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Day Four. Night. March 28th, 912 CY
The terrifying predators pounce on their prey with primal ferocity!
Six-fingered claws and iron fangs shriek death around Monique Quan!
(-11hp!) In the wild maelstrom of fierce savagery, the robot warrior cannot land a blow!
Ko-Nan the barbarian beats back a lunging black horror and then sinks his great ax deep into its bioarmored chest!
(A3) The spray of yellow blood burns like liquid fire!
(please make an Ability Check vs Dex on 1d20 to evade 4hp damage!)
The thing's blood eats a hole into the floor!
Jack joins Ko-Nan's onslaught but his iron mace crashes off the feral creature's glistening exoskeleton!
(A3)
Behind the front line, the rest of the questers frantically search for places to hide, or a means of escape. Hans disappears beneath a strangely shaped table. Maskelyn the gnome stays low. Adrock finds only one door, man-sized. Desperate, Tullia believes one of the beds might be wrenched free from the wall, if enough force was brought to bear.

Tullia
She looks around for any large, unattached furniture or object to hurl at them. After seeing Ko-Nan and the acid, she doesn't want to get too close to these monsters.
In her head... Damn. Cornered. Must put something between them and us.

Maskelyn
Maskelyn circles left, staying as far from the creatures as possible. He's heading for the general area around Adrock and Chaka. He yells random encouraging phrases as he goes. Get 'im, Doc! Mop the floor with that baggy-eyed maroon! You got dis!

Chaka tries to shake it all off, trying deeply to overcome the primal, instinctual symbols of fear all collected in one being. Claw, mandibles, acid, lethal birth, it all goes deep into his core. But with some confidence he grabs at his sword and with a gulp tries to aid in the defeat of whatever this thing is that has walked out of his nightmares.
[1d20] = 4 Damage [1d12] = 9

Monique Quan
'Feeling' her metal body get torn open, Monique yelled out in fear and anger and 'pain' and backpedaled madly while swinging her spiked mace in an effort to keep the creature away from her. "HELP!" she yelled out to her 'alien' friends, hoping one of them would have better luck at hitting the creature than she had been having....
OOC: (I SWEAR if this next roll from the dice roller is 10 or less, I'm gonna just have somebody else make all my rolls for me)
[1d20+1] = 19+1 = 20
Well, it's about #@$% time!
Damage roll: [1d6+3] = 3+3 = 6
