We have business to discuss with Chief Durnn. We were told we needed to go this way to get to him. Were we given wrong directions? If you can just point us in the correct direction, we can be out of your way quickly. As he speaks, he slowly moves toward the goblins. He moves to the square diagonally forward to the left.

As she turns and sees that the party is downrange of a group of archers, she decides to improvise.
"Good, good! Always nice to see others keeping up their skills. We're looking for some humans that came here before. We hear that Chief Durnn knows more." She smiles as pleasantly as a large cat can and continues.
"We also seem to be in need of a translator. Someone who can help smooth difficult situations like this. Do you know anyone who might want the job?" At this she rubs her fingers together in the universal sign of getting paid.

Target Practice?

The goblins look at the tabaxi's gesture curiously. The glance at each other, then look back over at the
Sky's hands, then each other... seemingly unsure what the bard is attempting to convey.
Kelben takes advantage of this distraction to sneak past the targets lining the near wall and finds himself mere feet away from the wall on the left.

After a brief huddle, where the goblins whispered in their native tongue, the
middle goblin points to the door behind him.
"Durnn dat way," he says.
"But we not let you just pass, unless you --" and it begins rubbing its fingers together.

Kelben looks to the others talking the negotiations for "price" and shakes his head no, when the goblins indicate they want coin, and points to back to Qelgrax & Sky. As if indicating it's on them this time to pay. The gnome then attempts to make his way to the door in front of him in the wall on the left.

The Bribe
Klilxuac looks back at
Sky and begins rubbing his fingers together, like the

"Of course, you would get four since you did the negotiating." she says to the middle goblin, who has proven to be at least roughly fluent in the common tongue.
As
Sky starts counting out silver, slowly dropping it from one paw to another... an act which causes the goblins to crowd together, anxiously awaiting their payout.
Kelben, taking advantage of the distraction, is able to easily creep forward and the rogue finds himself standing in front of a familiar stone door with an iron pull ring. It appears to be unlocked.

Goblin Stockade
Sky, in an effort to distract the three
goblin archers, drops a coin on the ground, over the ledge on the goblin side, then continues counting out the coins he's willing to share with the archers for information, and hopeful passage.
Kelben, continues his roguish ways, and when the goblins drop to collect the dropped coin, gives the side door a quick once-over, and once it's deemed safe, pulls it fully open... with remarkable quiet. Peering inside, the gnome notices squalor reigns in the new low-ceilinged room beyond the door. A large iron spike is driven into the floor near the door, and a small iron cage is set farther back.
Three kobolds are bound with crude rope to the iron spike, and a
battered gnome lies in the cage, which is almost too small for him. All four remain relatively quiet as they adjust their eyes as more light spills into the more dimly lit room they're being confined in.

Several sets of corroded manacles are connected to the walls, and some still bind a few crumbling skeletons.

Kelben tries to signal Sky and Klilxuac that there are captives inside the door he just opened using some hand signals holding up 3 fingers and pointing towards Meepo then one finger and pointing at himself. The gnome leaves the door alone for the moment wondering if they can free these prisoners or not or if they should wait until the meet the goblin leader.

Sky continues to slowly trickle out the coins.
"How far is Chief Durnn?" she asks when parting with the last coin.
The goblins, having collected their coins, look up to address their feline friend.
"Is through that door, then that way. Not far." the one says -- then, they spot Kelben standing by the open door.

Kelben shuts the door enough so it looks closed "Sorry I was looking for a place to relieve my bladder." he says back to the goblins and to add to it he acts like he has to urinate badly doing a "pee dance." as it were.
