Bonnie has had a rough couple of days: A long voyage with grabby seamen, a deserted island theme park, two days sick in bed, and then screaming. All that just to race out and fall at the foot of a dead hungry thing.
Bonnie screams as she half crawls, half scampers in the sand away from the creature. "Crap! Crap! Crap!"
She manages to move a few feet and notices the large armored man she is kneeling before. "Oh thank the gods! What are these things?"
She gets to her feet and looks around for other creatures.

Chauncey the Adequate
"Hmmm... next to the cleric seems a wise place to be in a zombie attack..." thinks Chauncey. He puts away the implications of "first day on the island zombie attack" for the moment and scurries up to the right of Luther to launch three of his darts, if possible, at the approaching Z4, though he will hold his fire if at any point Luther or Raythan rush into his line of fire:
Looks at the scene. Are there no defenders flinging arrows and stones from the tree house, no organised defence? She'tuts'heavily under her breath, this Mr Nehru lacks in leadership to be sure, (perhaps he needs help?), she thinks.
Heeding the warning that more of these critters may be on the loose or approaching wether from down the beach or across the tracks, Krystal will run to the furthest spot just between the firepit and the rolling surf. Hoping the flames shield her from any zombie infra-vision. Crouching low, almost rolling in sand and surf to gain any cover she will try to avoid detection in that spot and then sneak around the rear of any zombies next round.
Fucking disgusting bastards! Damn you all! Luther roars, trying to hide his miserable failure to hit the thing.

Wes
Wes casts Faerie Fire on the approaching Z4. Then he moves up the beach to go and help Monocar finish off the entangled zombie. He plans to use his spear to stab the zombie from a safe distance.
Hearing Ferris' warning about the possibility of other zombies further back in the settlement, he also reasons that further castings of Entangle will be more effective back there than on the beach.

Raythan
Raythan looks to group up and start to hunt down zombies in and organized manner. "To me, group up and hunt these things en-mas."

Mid-day
Red Sand Everywhere
Round 2
The eruption of mass chaos continues to spread throughout the entire settlement as several fighters push forward onto the beach. Screams from women and children carry over the warm sea breezes as the men of the town try to save them from these hideous abominations.
Ferris cranks his handle as he and Brufrig move up towards the others. He loads another bolt into his pick-like contraption. Jack puts one arrow into a zombie before every one of them is engaged by a fighter type. The captain signals for his men to get the crossbows out again.
Lightfinger bobs and weaves his way in between and around some buildings, trying to get away from monsters while still getting a closer look at this Treehouse place. He notices a young, dark skinned man emerge from inside the tall structure. The man walks to the railing and begins yelling down towards the people. A couple of other humans slowly follow him outside and start yelling down as well, except that these two seem to be cheering on the zombies.
While Luther is engaged with the closest threat, after attacking it from behind as it fled, Wes steps forward to brighten up the day of an oncoming monster. Raythan tries to huddle everyone together so the group can hunt in numbers. Chauncey finds some raw courage from deep inside, moving forward and throwing three darts as the glowing zombie as it passes by. It starts to veer off towards Bonnie but then grabs an old man and starts eating him, instead.
Saracen shouts praises in the powers of Phlotus. Even in sandals, it is difficult for him to move in the soft sand, but it seems almost impossible for the zombies. The are moving at a snails pace towards him when he smites one of the dead things hard with his flail. It swings back at the ginger halforc futilely.
Bonnie crawls and yells, hoping to get the big mans attention, but he rushes right past her without a second glance. Perhaps not exactly sure how magic works, Monocar rushes in to attack the nearest zombie. The same zombie that is already caught in Waesfaren's entangling vines. The brutish fighter is immediately stuck in his tracks directly in front of the monster. Save vs. Spells please.
Actions!
1, 3, 4, 5, and 7 are all engaged in some way and currently stationary. 9 seems to be just standing there by himself.
Even though they are not shown on the map, the other fighters that were on the ship with you, along with a few other fighting types who were already on the island, are all involved in this fight as well, so this shouldn't last too long.
The lummox charges right in intent on smashing in the zombie's head and gets all tangled up in the same spell that trapped the walking corpse. Yeeeaaaaa!!! Whoa! What?! Hey! HELP! WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!?!" he struggles wide eyed as he finds himself in a tangled mass of vines and realized this is not a good spot as the zombie if directly in front of him. "No! Stop vines! I'm a good guy! IM A GOOD GUY!!!"

Wes
Seeing the zombie he illuminated veer off between the buildings, Wes sticks to his original plan of running to aid Monocar. Wes heads towards him, veering to the right to avoid running directly into the zombie as it staggers out between the two shacks, (and staying clear of his own Entangle spell). If the vegetation allows, he plans to try and Entangle this one too. If not...Wes grips his spear tightly and grimaces, not relishing the thought of fighting the zombie up close.
As he runs up the beach, Wes spots Brufrig and calls out to the dwarf: "C'mon Brufrig! Plenty of 'em over here".

Saracen continues to engage the zombie before him, smashing it with his flail as he dances and weaves about. "By the light of the lord be gone!" he mutters panting as he fights, orange robes billowing about him.
leaves pack and bucket behind by the dock and with crossbow locked and loaded is ready to rumble again. He steps off the dock and walks a few paces along the shoreline and then takes a medium range shot at zombie 1 as it staggers near the firepit.
He wonders at the treehouse group if they are actually with us or not, he can see them waving. Are they armed themselves and attacking the settlers?

Chauncey the Adequate, Future Wizard King
Seeing the Luther and Raythan tied up in melee with the nearest zombie (Z6), and confident, given his every third dart sailing erratically in a random direction that he won't be able to not impale one of them in the eye by mistake, Chauncey instead breaks off and scampers counter-clockwise around the building to his immediate North, in order to address the zombie attacking the old man (Z4). "Gentlemen!" he says, nodding politely as he passes Wesley and Brufrig running the same direction (presumably).
"No! No! Stop it! Unhand that shriveled, elderly fellow! Not sporting at all! ...You should be ashamed!" he yells at Z4 when he rounds the corner. He readies some more darts and throws (from about 30' back) figuring he might accidentally hit the old man, but... the alternative seems somewhat worse for the poor fellow. And much more painful. Plus, watching him get eaten is really gross.
Listens intently to the dark skinned youth in the tree house and the other two men. (are they also dark skinned, native types?). She tries to understand their language if it is common. Comprehend Languages requires touching the speaker so, guessing from their actions of cheering for the zombies she feels they are part of the problem not part of the answer.
Krystal would like to use the firepit as a screen to cover her whereabouts. putting a few extra logs into the fire, (wet ones would cause lots of white smoke, very papal but also very hard to see through), if no suitable logs are about then she will empty a flask of oil onto the pit to create a thickening fiery flame and then quickly move to the foot of the tree house, beneath any walkway or branches to sneakily hide.

"Bonnie"
Bonnie glances behind her at the munching/screaming nearby, then turns back to the problem in front of her, all the while stifling a chuckle at the big human's reaction to his predicament.
"Woah, hold on. Don't struggle. I'll try and cut you free."
Bonnie tries to cut some shrubbery.

Jack, lost boy:
"Ha ha ha!" Jubilant in the Twisted Fate's rigging, the boy who never grew up joyously rains more pointy death down upon the living dead. (Z1)
The wily Halfling, seeing the large orange Half-Orc squash the walking dead man where he himself had just been, darts north and cuts left around the building, toward the tree house, testing an idea that popped into his head. He should be in plain sight of those in the tree house, and more Zombies are approaching, but slowly, like molasses in winter. He is certain he is able to outrun/outmaneuver them, he just wants to learn if those upstairs are in some way directing the Undead.

Brufrig Granitesunder
Brufrig will accompany Wes to the north. While helping Monocar would be a nice thing to do, he does have armor and a weapon, as well as somebody trying to assist him. There is another zombie in the area, and that one is attacking someone who is helpless. The dwarf will try to aid the old man being attacked. (Z4)
Raythan
"To the tree house, let's move." the half-elf directs.

Soft Sand and Heavy Boots
Round 3
Monocar is very much stuck. He tries to get out of the binding foliage, but he lacks the calf strength to pull himself free. Bonnie decides to help the big brute out and starts chopping away at the vines. Wes decides against trapping any more innocents with his spells and instead rushes over to poke at the zombie with his longer spear. He calls out to Brufrig that there is more action but the dwarf decides to help the old man instead. Unfortunately, his stubby legs are not used to running in the soft sand and he stumbles and falls face first before he can make any attack. The wizard Chauncey decides that he should also try to stop the zombie from eating the old man. He gets a good shot off with one of his darts that sticks deep into its dead flesh. Unfortunately, it does not stop it from devouring the now dead old man.
Saracen and some of the other unknown fighters easily finish off the first zombie, attacking it without mercy. It falls down into the sand completely destroyed. Raythan tries to get Luther to move towards the Treehouse, but the bearish ranger continues attacking the zombie instead. He and two other fighters put this creature down as well before it even gets a chance to attack.
Krystal tosses some burnt log ends back onto the smoldering fire pit, hoping to keep herself hidden while still keeping a close eye on the Treehouse. Lightfinger also jukes around the building to have a closer look. He shouts out at the zombies and the men above, hoping to get some attention. After studying the area a bit more, it appears that the 20 something black skinned man is calling out orders in broken common to those on the ground while the other 2 much older, pale skinned men just joke around and yell out at the zombies. Each of the two men has a mug of something in their hands as they yell down.
Jack continues to shoot arrows from high up in the sails. A crossbow bolt quickly whizzes past his face and the captain below shouts up that the first shot was only a warning. Ferris also fires again, leaving his gear by the dock. His bolt thunks hard into his target, knocking it to the ground as the other people around begin hacking it to bits. Suddenly, a brown skinned, middle aged man emerges from the front door of the large building marked Hi-Lo. He is just about to rush into the area of Wes's vegetation spell but stops on the steps just in time. He also starts barking out orders to those around him who are within earshot.
"Good heavens! What is happening out here? Welcome newcomers! I apologize for the unfriendly greetings, but there is another one of those things right over there!" He points to Z7.
Z3 moves forward after knocking down a skinny man with a staff, likely looking for something more substantial to eat. The thing is moving so slow in the soft sand that the quick halfling could run circles around it before it had the chance to attack him. The solo zombie Z9 near the end of the dirt trail seems to be only watching the proceedings, not involved in the fight in the least.
Actions!
6 zombies remain, 4, 5, and 7 are engaged and 8 is still trapped. You don't see any more coming up the trail or from out of the jungle.
