Grigg has, he had signalled to P&C to follow, after they came from the portcullis room. I think we are behind Milo but the little halfling could dodge between us unseen. ;)

"I'll go in with you all," says Milo, "but I'm not a stand-in-the-front kind of hobbit. Safety in numbers and all that!"

As soon as you enter the crypt, you feel the temperature drop, it is significantly colder in this room than it was outside in the corridor. The item on the floor by the slab appears to be a stone tablet with righting on it.

Simoni stays in the hallway, guarding the rear of the party.

Grigg

Grigg will approach the skeleton and with a wild swing of his sword try to decapitate it. "better not take any chances", he muses. If the skeleton remains motionless ( and headless), Grigg will search through the remains.

As Grigg's sword separates the skeleton's skull from its spine, a chill wind seems to emanate from the four corners of the crypt. The breeze seems directed to the center of the crypt where it joins together into a mini-duster, swirling and blowing dust outward. It quickly manifests into the image of a human warrior, long in the tooth but quite fit except for the gashing wound in it's side.

Grigg, Milo, Bronn, and Pyrrhic (whom I assume entered the crypt since he hasn't been online in a week) need to give me a Save vs. Spells at -2. Simoni, Peaches and Claude who remain in the hallway do not need to make a Save.

Grigg

Save vs spells: [1d20-2] = 13-2=11

Grigg sees the swirling dust cloud form.

He has flaming torch left hand, longsword right hand.

Bronn Save vs. Spells [1d20-2] = 12-2 = 10 Failure
Pyrrhic Save vs. Spells [1d20-2] = 19-2 = 17 Success

Grigg: Drop Torch [1d100] = 11
Grigg: Drop Long sword [1d100] = 53
Bronn: Drop Sword [1d100] = 5

Pyrrhic is the only one able to stand his ground at the sight of the apparition before everyone. Milo, Grigg, and Bronn bolt out of the room, unable to contain their fear. In their haste, Girgg drops the burning torch which rolls a little on the stone before coming to rest. Bronn drops his two handed sword as he tries to get his large frame out of the door. Peaches and Claude can only look on in surprise as the three room from the room, fear gripping their hearts. They are nearly back to the entrance room with the rope before they able to begin composing themselves again. Peaches looks at Simoni to see if they should follow the fleeing ones or stay with Pyrrhic who is alone in the crypt.

Grigg

" phew...that was scary, did you see the entrails moving and the glow in his eyes. A thing of coldness and death if ever there was..."Grigg shivers in the corridor trying to bring himself together.

Simoni has Remove Fear memorized, would he be able to cast it on someone as they run by?

You have to touch them to cast the spell and then they get another Save vs. Magic, this time at +2 to dispel the effect. You would have to make a touch attack (they receive no armor or dex mods so you would attacking AC 10 since we use ascending AC) against one of them to connect.

Simoni tries to put a comforting hand on Bronn's shoulder, saying "It's ok. Confronting your fear is healthy."

Touch Attack: [1d20+1] = 10+1 = 11

Bronn Save vs. Spells [1d20+2] = 11+2 = 13 Fail

Simoni is able to place a comforting hand on Bronn as he runs by but the effect of his fear is more powerful than the comforting words of the priest.

"Friends! Do not let this this shake your resolve, but I do think a tactical retreat is in order."

I'll grab the dropped torch (if safely possbile) and back out to join the rest of the party.

Pyrrhic, Simoni, Peaches, and Claude are in the hallway outside the crypt. Bronn, Grigg, and Milo are in the hallway outside the entrance chamber though the other four do not know that. What does everyone do.

Grigg

Grigg shouts down the corridor to the others,"Brothers, that thing is a shadow of death, its' finger points at us, we should leave this dread place. St Ygg can deal with him, there are bogeymen in their crypts so they have the power over them."Grigg huddles in the dark, drawing his daggers and crouching to stab anything which leaps from the shadows.
