Maybe the guy from the empty space took the bowl and left.

But how would we find him? I'm thinking drinking the residue is a last resort and it should be a character with high con and not Cadmus in case it is poison.

Technically, Decimus has the highest Con by far...

Did we actually travel 300 miles?
how long can we stay out here, food-wise?

If I've calculated Alfius' food correctly, he has about 6 weeks of food left -- and he purchased a week or two less food than everyone else.

I think we've got a lot less food than that, I'll need to calculate it but I only remember getting 4 weeks worth each.

I don't have my Expert book with me right now. Is Locate Object a 2nd or 3rd level clerical spell? I see it is 3rd level in ACKS.

More or less.
I don't have my notes in front of me, but it was 6 days of travel at 48 miles per day, so that's 288 miles, plus I think a few miles more on the next day.
how long can we stay out here, food-wise?
Could someone please provide me with an answer on this? Thank you.
I get the sense that Vek and MM are currently best-informed on rations, but I could be wrong. I don't care who answers or anything.

It's third-level in B/X as well. Second-level clerical spells in Cook/Marsh Expert are Bless/Curse, Find Traps, Know Alignment, Hold Person, Resist Fire, Silence 15' Radius, Snake Charm, and Speak with Animal.

JS, have you heard about this:

-----
Cadmus has six weeks of iron rations remaining.

I should have about five weeks of rations, then.

@Wyzard: Yeah, I have my notes now. The full days of travel were the 27th, 278th, 29th, 30th, 1st, and 2nd. Not quite 300 mi but very close to it. Six full days of travel.
@Todd: PM me if you want to hear more about that. Crazy stuff.

According to the revision history for Alfius, he purchased
7 weeks of iron rations and 1 week of fresh rations in the city, most of which were carried on his horse.
Decimus' wiki page has 8 weeks of rations as well, split between himself and his horse. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been eight weeks since we left Danum.

We left Danum on the 11th, so that was 22 days ago. We ate in inns on one or two occasions, and again on Severia farm, so I didn't count those towards consuming rations. That means that Alfius should have about 5 weeks and 1 day rations remaining, which is what I currently have on the wiki.

@Vek, MM: Thanks!
@Wyzard, Todd: Does that help you guys figure out where you are with rations? Please let me know if you have any questions.
@All: Please excuse delay in posting. I hope to have an IC post up tonight; it may not be until tomorrow---sorry.

I'll adjust down to where Vek is. My apologies, I'm running a game with a lot of moving parts and having to track quite a bit, so am not as on top of other stuff as I would like to be.

Okay, I've got an excellent idea of exactly how the party is digging. Thank you all!
Before I start rolling some dice, to what degree and in what manner are people keeping a watch "topside" while others dig? Since the horses are outside, I need to roll wilderness encounter for them, at the very least. Basically just need some general guidance before I start rolling dice. Thanks for your patience.

My suggestion is that we move the horses closer to the big tree; then whoever is carrying the dirt out the tunnel can check on them each trip.
