Severi continues hewing at Ogre hide, undeterred by whatever beating his companions receive.
EDIT: If an Ogre presents itself that is more wounded than the other Ogres, Severi will go for the more likely kill.

In moving forward have the ogres stepped into the second circle of oil? (unlit at the moment)

Um, sure. Each flask of oil creates a puddle of approximately 7 square feet. Six flasks of oil create a puddle approximately 42 square feet. 42 square feet is about 6 x 7.
At this point, three ogres have emerged from the cave; another two are still inside. I am going to say you can catch one in the second puddle, unless you want to let them advance and allow another ogre to leave the tunnel. Also, who has a lit torch at this point?

Thurgan, dwarf
Thurgan invokes his swords powers boosting his dexterity greatly. "Damn you ogres. I could do with some healing here".
I presume that going from Dex 8 to Dex 18 will give a fair AC boost to Thurgan as he has a -1 normally, as well as boosting his initiative.

Aquar the cleric tosses the torch used to light the first oil into the second as he backs away from combat to cast cure light wounds on Thurgen.
Thurgen 15 HP, Aquar 10.

Rounds Four through Five
The fight soon devolves into chaos. Aquar withdraws, and the finals ogre is able to advance from within the cave. Thinking quickly, Anohir summons a ball of light right in front of the creature's eyes, and it staggers about, blinded! Aquar's retreat enables him to provide some healing magic to the injured Thurgan. Severi, Rhys and Thurgan all press the attack. Only Rhys is able to deliver a meaningful blow; the other two warrior have their blades knocked aside by the thick clubs the ogres wield. Mursely expends his last spell, and one of the ogres topples over into a deep slumber. One of the quaking neanderthals creeps forward and staves the sleeping ogre's skull in.
The largest ogre is momentarily distracted by the death of this compatriot, and Rhys takes advantage of this lapse in defense to gut him through and through. The ogre chief collapses to the ground, dead. The two neanderthals step forward to plug the holes in the line; one is killed almost instantly by a blow from a remaining ogre. Aquar takes a moment to cast a spell of healing on himself, while Anohir does the same for Thurgan. The doughty dwarf delivers another hit, but his opponent still stands. Severi is hit in the ribs by and ogre's club.
Severi takes 5 hp, Thurgan another 4, but Thurgan is also healed for 9 points of damage, so the dwarf regains 5.

Rhys the Slayer
"We got 'em now! Press the attack!" he cries, pulling his sword from the leader.

Severi grunts with the impact, and continues his swordplay.

Thurgan, dwarf
Thurgan keeps attacking with his sword determined to land a blow onto the ogres.

The End of the Fight
With two of the ogres dead, it is only a matter of time before the adventurers are able to wear down their opponents. Before two long, five dead, charred ogres lay on the ground before the neanderthals cave. The ur-man looks despondent; his last kinsmen having been slain in the assault against the ogres, he is the last of his kind . . . at least in his small, limited world.

Severi Silvertongue, Elf
"Well. At least it died taking revenge. Sort of. Does anyone have a supply of spirits for the survivor?"
Severi, staying focused on the task at hand, begins hauling Ogrish treasure out into the sunlight.

Rhys the Consoler
Genuinely concerned for the proto-man, Rhys tries to console him. After a few moments, he moves into the cave, wondering if there are any prisoners that may yet be alive.

Anohir, Aquar and Mursely decide they have seen enough combat, and bid their companions farewell, intent on returning to Threshold and starting a llama farm. Besides the mirror that Severi plucked from the bag, each ogre carries a pouch containing a total of two hundred and fifty gold coins. The sack contains 600 gold coins. Severi opines that the mirror is likely worth another one hundred gold.

Severi Silvertongue, Elf
"This is a weighty quantity of gold, and yet my lust for treasure is un-slaked." Severi fills a pair of ogrish tankards from the kegs and gives them to the crying cro-magnon. "I lean toward returning to town simply due to the logistical concerns of our bulging saddlebags, despite the low relative value of gold coins."
I think this is (250 x 5) + 600 = 1850, plus however much was in the prior haul, which I don't recall right this second. That's quite a bit of gold to split among our smaller party size.
Oh, do we divide this with the departing PCs? That would make it much less of a relative problem.
They already come with their own sacks, so no need to use our own. Should be pretty easy to split that up between our horses (~60lbs each) and not have to go back to town just yet...

Sorry! Missed this spoiler first time around or else I wouldn't have completely duplicated it.
I've been trying to track it all again here: viewtopic.php?p=110961#p110961
It was just another 35lbs of coin total, so another 10lb per horse. I'd rather go ON than back. There has to be a town in the forward direction where we can convert this party gold into something more easily transported.
