Svent agrees about rest and selling the unnecessary horses. "I think it only makes sense to rid ourselves of the exess horses if they want to buy them I say gladly sell them the horses."
Garrett still sore from the arrow he took in the battle the day before "I'd be happy to camp then deal with the ferry tomorrow."

Titus is good with selling the horses and is fine to rest. It sounds like the river is still a good ways off, but we should be able to cross it tomorrow. Same watch as before?

Same watch order is fine with me.

Sanu is a little bit ticked off at the handling of the tiger (even though that thing was probably a menace to all travelers on that road). He is laying low--mourning if you will.

same watch rotation works for me
Calen cleans and maintains his halberd and armor as the group settles in for the night. He will rest and then take his watch, letting the wolf roam the wilderness at night or stay at the camp as it see's fit.

Baruch agrees with all horse-selling, resting and watch duty ideas above. Before sleep, he will pray. During sleep, he will try to reconnect with Aruman, to try to get an idea of the force of this deity

yep, but don't worry, Baruch is just keen to test drive new friendly pantheons - he's not gonna steal Calen's wolf!wasn't aruman the wolf god?

Re: Queen Regeina's Ethical Philosophers Depart.
Rancher, Philosophers, Philanthropists Cross The Chill River?
The party sells 2 draft horses to a family of 4 (50 gp). Then settle in for a night's rest.
Calen's wolf stays in camp. He appears to maintain a secure perimeter around the party.
Baruch seeks divine wisdom about Aruman, the wolf god. While Baruch sleeps, his god Guth, whispers to him. Aruman remains in Ciccur, so he sent you one of his beloved. The voice says.
The night is spent without incident.
In the morning Montego gets up to relieve himself. In the distance he spies abundant bird activity. He walks a bit into the woods to find corpses -- 10 of them. These, he gathers, are the bodies of the men slain by the imposters. Yes, these are Regenia's men. They have been stripped of their goods. Montego can read the story in the foot prints. There was a big fight between 2 groups of men on horses. But where did the extra horses go? Montego follows the horse prints for about 100 feet and they suddenly intersect - - - Orc prints? Perhaps 10 individuals. Montego rejoins the group.

The ferry is a bit less than a day away. The party could reach the river in time to cross before night fall.
ACTIONS???

Svent "I saw we continue onward to the ferry."
Garrett "I am a little concerned with the mass of bodies but I think it is unrelated at the moment to our mission. So yes lets head onward out to the ferry."

Calen nods at Svent and Garrett, finally they see the importance in the mission and not the needless exercise of hunting orcs and men all of the country. He readies his gear and mounts his horse, "Let's go."

It's probably for the best. In the big picture of things, those 10 orcs may rape and mutilate the two women we left behind, but the mission must come first.

Garrett "Well when you put it that way......." and he just trails off never completing his sentence.

assuming that was in character dialogue?
Calen responds, "Then they will be raped and killed, or the town they are staying in will protect them. Either way it isn't our mission."

Re: Queen Regeina's Ethical Philosophers Depart.
meanwhile back at Garrett land....
Garrett "Ah yes sorry I kind of trailed off there for a moment. As Calen said it's not relevant at the moment I am sure the women can handle themselves after all you saw that they killed that one man."

Montego agrees with continuing on with the mission. He does not like the idea of Orcs in his lands, but knows full well that Merritt would use any such tactics to fulfill his goals.
He can't help thinking about the girl that just got away from him but his focus is otherwise clear. He keeps saying the word Orcs! over and over and shaking his head back and forth.
