Rand certainly isn't slowly and quietly watching the party from an unknown location.

I'm not sure if MW is brilliantly clever or has brought meta-gaming to a new level I enjoy the suspense of not knowing.

Let it be known that Rand only ever liked Elethil, and his most recent post only further cements that claim.

BTW, both Deceidon and Sunshine used poisoned arrows in the combat against the giant spider. Would other characters know that the two had used poison? Or deduced it from the effect the arrows had? Or is that a "secret" posted in public for convenience?

The latter. Understandably, it is hard to keep player knowledge from interfering with character knowledge, but certain things have to be made specific so that inventories can be correctly kept track of and questions about extra damage or effects can be promptly answered.

Deceidon got the poison out of the venom sacks of dead giant spiders, which the party witnessed, prior to you joining.

We should all keep the meta-gaming out.

Agreed. As much as possible. Youll usually know when you're doing it. LOL

Luckily I haven't been able to follow the accusations and theories anyway, so I can safely say that Whitsell wouldn't know any meta data to guide his decisions.

I third this notion. It is fine to use the OOC thread to talk about the game, but it should not be used as a potential spoiler thread or fuel for any in-game statements. Meta-gaming can quickly break down suspense and other story telling mechanics. Though we are nearing the end of the story arc, for now at least I think so, I should like to make it clear that a lot of important in-game events are heavily riding on the actions of your characters right now. Keeping that in mind, I'd like for things to remain meta-gaming free if it can be helped, if only for making things easier on my end.

Only if they were there at the time to hear or see it, that or if they were told about it from another character and he/she believed in the information.
