Galreth will add 3 gold to the pot also.
"Well it should be the culmination of your dance, as i can only conjure the shadows once a day for about 30 seconds to a minute. I'm sure Jake would give a hand for a fair share in his coin. Good food and luxury items i think."

Vesper gives her comrades a satisfied smile "It seems we have the foundation of both an adventuring and a theatrical company!"

"Uggghh, that would be like dancing for the priests of Ramlaat - I'm never doing the Dance of the Seven Steaks again! Oh, that's another rule: payment is in coin - jewelry is a gift. No perishables and only jewelry made by jewelers". She smiles
"Don't get me wrong these rules are just for me. I'm not big on rules for other people".

Vesper reacts with
"Guild Master, with respect, this is our find and we have experience in solving this problem. If the Sheriff wants the matter dealt with there is no need for a notice on the Job Board - let him put up some coin to hire and supply our group. Specific to the problem let him supply metal greaves to ward off the attacks of the rats that we have already bested once. Already you see our knowledge and experience at work!"
Vesper is putting lots of effort in here!
(OOC: But you can't always roll 19 or higher!
)
This was an easy task, convincing the Guild Master, so all you needed was a 9.
"That seems fair." says the Guild Master,
"Is that agreeable to the rest of you?"
"I will ask about the job and make your request for greaves, the former I can just about say will be approved as the Guard here in Slateholm isn't known for their adventuresome spirit, but the greaves..." the Guild Master considers,
"I might be able get them to pay for leather greaves, but metal is more than they are likely to do."
OOC: Leather Greaves: 2 gp; +1 AC extra for any attack on legs.
Okay, I went ahead and rolled.
The Guild Master comes back with this offer from the City
He says,
"I think it's a good deal for you. They offered 40 gold pieces, 4 sets of Leather Greaves, and anything you find in the old tunnels to "clear the tunnels under the Market District of vermin. If you do a good job there you might be offered more to clear areas under other Districts of the city."

For Vesper, Draven, Galreth, Gaurbal:
1. Are you taking the offer from the City to clear the tunnels?
2. Are you planning on doing anything the night of 6/20 (If you can put together 10 gp I'll set up a minor carousing table for you), or do you want to just "rest and recover" at The Trident and Shield then pick up the morning of 6/21? Keep in mind carousing can give you XP, plot hooks, and maybe items, but it also can make money you keep disappear, give you injuries, and prevent fully healing from those you already have.

She smiles
"Then tonight we are for drinking and dancing!"
She buys a new torch (5sp) and contributes to the drinks fund to make it up to the required (mini binge) 10gp.
(OOC: Using the communal pot that would be 3gp from her.
Note any carousing with Vesper add 1d6 to their roll).

Okay, it appears you want to do a bit of Carousing, so we'll have some rolls for that. Also Tiglith plans to sing and dance for coin with the others acting as bodyguards, is that correct? If so there will be some rolls for that as well.
Some information about the area of Slateholm you are in.
The Shield and Trident and Adventurer's Guild Hall is in the Dock District, a fairly safe area catering to sailors and local townsfolk that is regularly patrolled by the Town Guard. Everything here is lower to lower middle class. Inns are safe-ish and taverns toss out rowdies or anyone who starts a fight. This is were respectable folk come to have a good time.
North of here you enter the North District which is pretty tightly controlled by a criminal gang (think, dark side of the Thieves Guild) and is unsafe for anyone working there who isn't either in, or paying, the gang. Dive bars, baudy houses, gambling hells, and flophouses abound. Pockets get picked on the street, throats get slit in dark alleys, and most anything can be had for a price. However, there is a sort of order here, an order imposed by the Gang. Respectable folk tend to stay away unless they are desperate for something that can't be had elsewhere. Come here if you pay the Gang and obey the Gang rules.
South of the Dock District are slums which are generally unsafe and poor picking to boot. Crime is less controlled, but just as bad, here. Inns are flophouses. Taverns are dive bars. Everyone is poor and desperate and likely to do unto you if they think they can get anything from you. Travel here at your own risk, especially at night.
Where you choose to Carouse and where Vesper Entertains is going to play a part in what happens when I start rolling dice (for example, tables will be different and so will DC's). So, let me know where you are aiming to spend your evening of revelry.

Jake will assist with the singing and dancing but not use his common, so tonal cawing in synch with Tiglith, Galreth will collect coin and act as MC.
I think our local district for tonight is fine as we only know a couple children at this point that can speak well of us.

Gaurbal is happy to act as guard and earn his breakfast. He also thinks that, at least for now, we should stick with the local (safe) Dock district.

Yes, Dock District please (agreeing as above).
And so it's on with the motley (or indeed off!
) as "Vesper and her Amazing Shadow Cats and Raven" (working title) entertain with song, dance (with a bit of tasteful burlesque) and performing/conjured creatures. MC Galreth as compère Jake as novelty and comic relief while Draven and Gaurbal guard the take and take up guard.

You can try 3 performances this evening (and then Carouse, if you wish). There are 3 Taverns in the Dock District:
The Trident and Shield, The Gold Coin, and Jib and Jig where you can do one performance in each.
Your impromptu minstrel troop, tries their luck at
The Gold Coin , a tavern just down from
The Trident and Shield were you have rooms. The crowd is
Curious (I rolled a 10) and not unappreciative with your performance.
OOC: Okay, now you roll a Performance Check (1d20+CHA): 10+ you get 2d6 gold coins tossed your way (on failure you get half rounded down), 12+ you Inspire someone in the crowd and you get a LUCK token, 15+ you Fascinate the entire crowd and get an extra 1d6 gold dropped in your hat and gain 1 point of recognition in the Dock District. (You can add recognition points to your Charisma Check for all future performances in the Dock District.)
I didn't put it in the Table, but Hostile is -2, Suspicious is -1, Neutral is 0, Curious is +1, and Friendly is +2 on your Performance Check.
If you, or any of your troop also want to spend LUCK on your rolls, they/you can.
