As for points, well I've spent 4 on guitars and specialised into electric guitars to give me a 5. I think 3 would be a good minimum, but specialisation is your friend here. I spent the last 2 on songwriter and specialised into rock for 1/3, another songwriter would help.

Is there a particular layout you want us to choose for character sheets?
I'm not too worried about the format. I would like point cost summaries near the top... Just the breakdown... X build points on Attributes, Y Points on Skills, Z points on Resources, -A points on Flaws, etc. If anyone wants one, I do have an old template that I used to use for my PBeM games if anyone would like it, but I am not picky. If you want to use Mythweavers or Omaae or anything, I can work with that as long as I have access to the sheet... Take a screenshot or whatever.

We are pretty good, so play what you like. I would rather not have another caster, as we already have one, but we are up to the full 8, so I will allow it if that is your heart's desire.

The party could use a decker, but that would be very hard to do on 80 build points. Most likely that would end up being a kid who loves to play with computers and dreams of having a deck one day... or who has a baby's first deck... :)

They could also use a Face. Social skills are pretty low in the group.

But really, play what you like.

That sounds good. But don't worry about it too much if you want to play something that someone else is playing. Remember: Double redundancy is never enough.

I haven't seen the character sheets yet, but it might be good for someone to take at least a little Biotech/First Aid. We do have a Street Shaman, but I don't know whether the shaman has any healing magic. And, it might be good to have at least some backup to that anyway.

FYI: My last player who has yet to join Unseen Servant (or at least yet to say anything) will be playing a PhysAd/Boxer.

I need to do a little training for work this morning. After I do, I will make an updated player roster... with who is playing what... and put it in the Character sheet page.

Skye is leaning pretty hard into Illusion and Manipulation spells, so no healing (at least at the start). Also, due to the point crunch she's going to be human instead of elf. Which is fine, elf wasn't an integral part of her character and it's easy enough to adjust her background.

I will say, with a group this large I think it would be very helpful to have another caster. Putting all our magical eggs into one Skye basket will make for a sad group if something happens to Skye, and there's plenty of different kinds of spells to get. I'll post my work-in-progress later this afternoon to give everyone an idea of where I'm going with Skye.

If we're a bit low on healing I'll swap Stealth for Biotech. It probably makes more sense than stealth anyway, but I've only 2 points to spend so I'll specialise in First Aid.

I'm not trying to dictate what anyone does. I just wanted to point out that I had not heard anyone say that they were taking any healing at all.

Since magically capable people comprise about 1% of the population and trained magicians even less, 1/8 or 12.5% of the group is still pretty high according to the general population. :P

But since we have a full party of 8, I will allow another caster if one of the new players wants to play one. :)

Not at all. You made a good point, and Revs having stealth didn't quite sit right with me anyway.

Yes, I know that the Build Point, Resource, Availability, and Street Index restrictions make it hard for all of you to completely be what you want. But that is the whole point. You are wannabees. So, I will list the archetype to which you aspire. :)

Do you guys want gender on the roster. I left it off to avoid potential issues. Or should I just put preferred pronouns?

I put the party roster in the Character Sheets forum in my campaign forum. I will update it as I get the rest of your information. I skimmed to find the information already given, but I will apologize in advance if I missed anything someone posted or a change someone made.

Do you want me to add the band roles?

Okay, gender and pronouns added. If I accidentally misgendered your character or assumed the wrong pronouns, it is not intentional. Please just let me know what it should be, and I will change it. No harm. No foul.

Do we have a Campaign Identify Number?

I ask as though everyone is joining the Unseen Servant forum, the Dice Roller is actually operated as a separate forum and players need to also register/login.

Then folk can 'create a new character' and specifically link it to this game so that there is transparency in regards to dice rolls made for skill checks, attacks, Saving Throws, random chances and the like.

As GM, Charybdis Richelle will need to go to the Dice roller campaign tab, and Create a New Campaign which will generate an ID number and create a new character too (GM rolls or some such title) so those rolls are archived also.

You used to be able to register in US and Dice roller forums using the same name & password, not sure as the site does get updated. But the process is the same with a confirmation email verifying you are not a bot.

Got a few questions regarding the rules.
To explain, I’ll just post a turn to see if I get the rules correctly.

Movement:
I have a quickness of 6, so that means 6/initiative passes of movement in meters per turn.
I get a +1 negative modifier to my TN if I move a meter or more, unless I am running.
From that moment on, anyone shooting me during that pass will get a +3 TN neg modifier due to ’moving target’ and ’camouflage’.

Question 1: What keeps me from moving after I use my 2 simple actions? Do you need to declare moving as part of your simple action? If yes, why not move during your second simple action? Or do you need to declare moving at the start of the initiative pass?

I shoot with burst fire using the slivergun. Receive +3 recoil modifier and +6 with the second burst per pass. The numbers aren’t doubled because it isn’t a heavy weapon. So with gas vent IV it gives a +2 neg mod to TN at the second shot.
Stationary targets give a -1 TN positive modifier. So with looking up range, I should end up with TN2 to hit.
Heavy pistol range starts at 4, image magnification 3 turns every range into TN 4, laser sight (up to 50 meters) lowers it to TN 3. Shooting a stationary target would mean TN 2.

The target gets to dodge for TN 5 (due to burst fire) if they want to use their combat pool dice for it.
Afterward, it must check against the power lvl. Which should be 12D + Successes going over the opposed dodge roll.

The defender then subtracts their armor level from the total amount and rolls body against the final number to see the final damage.

Let’s say 5 hits come through. How does that translate on their condition monitor.

Question 2:
Does ’deadly’ mean anything during combat, or does that have more to do with healing afterward.
Simply filling up your physical boxes regardless if it’s light, moderate, serious, deadly?
Or do all of them have different health boxes on the physical track?

Question 3:
When I need to reload it says (c) means clip and that it takes a simple action. I assume it still relates to using two simple actions, as I need one to eject the clip and one to insert a new clip? Is this correct.


If I am misinterpreting anything, please let me know.

I joined the site to play with the die roller to see if I could figure out how to roll SR dice. I figured that out, except any exploding die will have to be rolled separately.

I will look for the campaign identifier number. Is that on the Forum or the Die Roller?

I have not yet made a campaign on the Die Roller. I will do that in a few minutes.
