Felgorian looks around, and decides he must follow what fate he has been given. He pushes against the button.

OOC: Sorry, work has been hell, back now...)

It moments, the doors to the room close, and you start seeing the bricks from the wall start to move. Moving like a jigsaw puzzle being unraveled, you see it reveals stairs heading downwards, and onwards.


"Good luck Champions! There will be challenges of the mind, challenges of fighting skill, and lastly, a test of the heart. I hope you win, so I may have peace...."


Nuelle blinks, and looks down the way "There is a room ahead,....shall we proceed?"

Brother Meldred looks into the room. "Well...who gets to go first?"

Felgorian nods, knowing he was the one who ultimately chose this.

With that, he heads toward the stairwell, looking for pits and such as he moves.

Husker the thief will follow along, attempting very hard to be brave.

"Fear not, Felgorian," Ceric states confidently. "I'll be right behind you."

"Let us move out."

The party moves forward, the way lighted by moss that glows. the rough cut stone turns to fine carved stone, and then comes to a large stone door.

Then you hear a voice

"Its been many years since someone has visited my door." as a image of a red Sphinx appears on the stone. "Its been far too long."

after a short pause, it continues

"ahh yes, a simple riddle.

Always smiles or maybe frowns
Sinks in water, never drowns.
Catches prey on its barbed teeth.
Hunts all day but never eats.

Answer this, and you shall continue...

Felgorian slaps his hand on his head and utters, "I know this. An elder used to tell us riddles. It umm, it...stone...saw blade, no...ooh.. gimme a minute.

The halfling frowns his brow in concentration but comes up blank.

Husker the thief whispers to Felgorian:

"Oooh, I'm not sure.....might be something like a gate or some such... "

Brother Meldred whispers to Husker, "Riddles were not something I was taught in becoming a cleric...I am at a lost here..."

Felgorian hears Beya's answer..."A fish hook? That does sound right. I knew it would come to me eventually.

He announces to the voice that fish hook is the riddle's answer.
