"While you were down Raz, Kol told us she is leaving, she offered to take Starkads body out with her."

Vesper sheathes her sword and bows to Kol, "I am sorry to see you go and sorrier still to have lost Starkad. Safe journeys to you friend." She turns to the others, "As to if we go on, I think that is up to Raz. Perhaps we should regroup and allow Raz to fully heal."

Raz shakes his head "Sad to loose two so soon one in combat and the other in physically leaving. I suppose we might need to head back out and see if we can't drum up a couple more or few more to aid us. I can heal myself I just feel guilty using healing spells on myself. Granted this is the last I have until I pray again tonight."

Cast upon himself CLW [1d8+1]=8+1=9 last divine spell for the day.


also I was at -1 before the healing potion do you rule that it only brought Raz back to 1 HP or for the full 6 from -1, meaning he would be at 5 HP before the CLW?

Actually, Raz was stable at "0" so the potion gave him 6 hp, and then your CLW gives him another 9; so he has 15 total.

So, are you planning on going forward deeper into the tunnels or exiting the mines to regroup?

"Normally I would agree but I thought there were still some missing miners?"

Raz feeling about as close to normal as one can for near death experience "Right, so I guess we plod on a bit more and hope to find the missing miners and pray we do not encounter much more fighting."

Raz nods his head "Sounds good to me, I could use the time to rest and pray for new spells."

Moan

Moan leads the way out.

Follows Moan, rather glad to see the outside again. Once again in the daylight she takes time to examine and dress her wounds.

Raz follows Moan as well.

Mag

Mag follows out as well.

Once a consensus is reached, Moan leads the way and the rest of the companions follow. Kol bears Starkad's body and the group is solemn and quiet as they exit the quarry mines of Red Larch. Jarth Oneshield is still outside the mines; he and his men finishing the clean up from the giant attack. When he sees the companions come out, he stops and then walks over, his face etched with worry. Seeing the body of Starkad, he shakes his head and sighs.
"What did ye run into? Several of ya look bloodied."

Moan

"We encountered 8 very large fire beetles."

Jarth nods.
"Well then, let's get ya into town and patched up. Ye can regroup and decide what ye wanna do. Sound good?"

"I'm heading out with Starkad," Kol replies. "This closed in, underground work...well, that ain't for me. Apologies Jarth...and friends. But I must be going. Axe high...I go!"
Kol leaves the group, her muscular shoulders easily bearing the dead druid as she heads off up the road.
The group returns to Red Larch as the story closes on this chapter.
