Gorum, Major and X took a slide walk to the nearest jump station, where they teleported the one hundred miles to uptown Zibylon.

This was obviously an upscale sector, judging from the buildings, higher elevations, cleanliness, and dress of the citizenry. The trio realized the dump of a sector they had been in before.

The mercenaries, or mission specialists as Major preferred, found themselves at the headquarters of the Syncretic Order. They were escorted through the massive building to a data center where they were introduced to a woman named Cyxeria Olivaw. She scanned the XR code and read the screen.

We will be infiltrating a Xathos Epiphany kult compound for information gathering and cyber-espionage. Our colleague Bartholomew Silva is out at the moment but will be returning this afternoon.”

Major, Gorum and X reviewed the briefing materials.

“Do you have any questions?” asked Cyxeria.

The sensitive nose of the mutant gibbon Gorum smelled something off about Cyxeria, that being she had no smell. Gorum realized she was a form of android, highly sophisticated in that without the scent clue he would not have realized.

At that moment, the elevator stopped at their floor and out walked a brown-skinned human.
