Steinn is quietly relieved to be treated promptly. He's obviously in a lot of pain and is finding breathing difficult, but he has been pushing himself on as though uninjured.
Remington's assistance amounts to little more than helping Kar remove Steinn's armour. Being unfamiliar with such things this is a learning experience for him, seeing how the body armour is fitted and fastened and, in this case, how a military rifle can punch through it and the body beneath.
Once the armour is off there is little for Remington to do, Kar can easily scan Steinn, find that his lung is unpunctured, seal the wounds and start the healing process. Oghma meditech is not what Remington is used to, but it is not the barbarian bandages and alcohol wipes he had expected when he first encountered them. There are effective treatments for combat injuries producing accelerated healing of wounds like these.
Kar is used to treating injured warriors, and worse than this. Pretty light casualties for an opposed raid, no missing limbs or organs, just straight-forward gunshots. He slips easily into the familiar routine.

Kar's command knocks Remington out of the vague daze he slipped into at the sight of the triage station. His prior medical experience was mostly limited to keeping his research assistants from bleeding on the machinery, and lacking any immediately pressing objectives of the sort he wasn't quite clear how to prioritize things. Helping to strip Steinn's armor is a learning experience, but Remington does his best to file all the information away. If he's going to play medic this probably won't be the last time he needs to do so.
Once Steinn is treated and Remington has had an impromptu crash course in Oghman medical technology he addresses Kar
"Thank you for the crash course Captain. I'm much better acquainted with the kind of first aid kit you find in a laboratory than what's on hand on here. I have to say, your technique is much better than piling gauze on and waiting for proper emergency medical techs. Still, I don't pretend to have your or Handson's experience. If you'll trust me to work without supervision I'll take whichever warrior is lowest priority. Less risk of me mucking things up if they just need a bandaid and a pep talk."
OOC assuming no objections from Kar, Reminton moves to treat Stáli

Stali strips off his armour unaided. Unconcerned by his injury but interested in its treatment, he watches Remington carefully as he works. At first Remington assumes the young barbarian doesn't trust him, or understand what he is doing, but he realises that the young man is actually appraising his work and learning from it.
The wound is quite minor, needing just disinfection and dressing with a "healing salve" that is likely more scientific than the label suggests.
Handson carefully removes Hróar's armour before helping him onto the table. The wound is clean enough, through muscle not bone, and has not hit any major blood vessels, so again the treatment is quite easy. Handson jollies his patient along as he works, chiding him for making the wound worse than it needed to be while making it sound "hardcore" to have done so. He fishes for details of the raid while they talk and cannot hide a smile as he hears of the young woman who escaped the dragnet in the market and Hróar's whip.

Seeing that the wounded are, so far, being cared for and pleased with Handson and Remmingtons work he gives them an appreciative nod and with a grin to the wounded, heads back out to see how the loading is going.
Raid leader Raven, what is your sitrep? Do still require more help at the warehouse.
Manfred, what's your situation, you want some help getting back to the ship old man?
Weapon ready Kar glowers at the slaves being loaded, looking for any signs of resistance, whilst awaiting further reports.

Raven responds quickly "More hands would be useful as would tasking the ship's autocannon to watch the buildings around the market square. We'll need even more help to pack the ship from the other warehouse once we have this treasure aboard. Then the temple might be worth a visit before we leave".
She then adds "I saw Manfred knocked on his arse outside the temple - he owes me ale but he's fine. I'm sure that I trust the old wolf's instincts but perhaps he's getting too old to go hunting outside the pack?" Kar can hear her broad grin over the comm as she laughs "He's your battle brother though - so you can tell him!"

Kar quickly assesses the available Ohgmans, knowing he should really stay with the ship, he looks to Leon.
Leon, do you fancy some shore leave? Take four warband and Roberta, go help Raven at the warehouse, whatever She needs. Close support and then return with the APC, pick up any wounded as you come back.
not sure how many of the warband we can spare from slave wrangling, however...
Stali, if you're finished having a break, come down to the hold and help with security
Hoping Grulbrandr or Hroarr might come too. Sitting down and pointing guns shouldn't be too taxing for them.

As Kar moves through the hold he sees a crowd of locals huddled by the hatch into the Cryoberth chamber. Inside he sees Eno checking over a man with a badly bruised arm.
Áshildr is bringing in a man with bleeding wounds from Sniffer's teeth in his neck. The last one Skeppare. Brave man, helped his woman escape. She smiles wolfishly: I'll make an example of him for that.
Manfred replies: I'll make it back on me own, thanks. Ain't running anywhere though. Looks like your people have the place locked down, think I'll do some sightseein' while I'm out here.

Copy that Manfred, hobble away
She smiles wolfishly: I'll make an example of him for that.
Returning the slightly disturbing grin.
I'm sure you will. Lucky him.
Assuming we have enough crew and raiders to cover the looting at the warehouse and keep the ship secure. Kar starts the process of selecting slaves for the low berths. Also a good time to triage the wounded cargo.
Remmington, get down here bring a med kit and Handson.
Kar will start first aid on the more valuable captives, leaving Ashildr to continue loading up the cryo chambers.

Handson is having trouble treating Gulbrandr. He can't remove the bullet from the wound, either because it is hard to reach, he is afraid to risk causing further damage, or he lacks the nimbleness of finger. Maybe a combination of the three.
Remington, you want to have a go?
To Gulbradr: This is what happens, you run about, so does the bullet.

The few wounded prisoners have superficial injuries, mostly blows from batons. The man Áshildr is hauling into the Cryochamber is the worst casualty, he has been beaten and "gently restrained" by þefa.
Áshildr sends a note from her datapad to Kar with a headcount:
Prime Male 9
Mid Male 3
Young Male 3
Elderly Male 1
Prime Female 3
Mid Female 3
Áshildr's list was made hurriedly, it may be innaccurate.
Rúna is bringing two wounded Militia men as well.
There are only 12 Low Berths. Some can be kept in the hold, or even on the crew deck, if you accept the strain on life support ( the air and water systems have some redundancy, but it will need an engineer to monitor things ).
Choices must be made. Who goes to sleep, who stays awake? Do you even let some go?

With Stali essentially good to go, Remington gives him a reassuring pat on the shoulder and sends him off to do whatever the captain has in mind for him. He then turns his attention to Handson and Gulbrandr.
"You know, if you can't get the bullet out easily I'm not sure it's worth the trouble. Unless Gulbrandr has symptoms to suggest that it's pressing on a nerve or blood vessel or something we can always just leave it in. Still, since you've put so much effort in already it would be a shame to let it go to waste."
Turning his attention to Gulbrandr, Remington asks
"Given the choice, would you rather I be delicate and spend longer fishing around, or quick and have it hurt more? You're the patient, you get to pick the treatment."
As he chats with Gulbrander, Remington finds himself a set of disposable sterile gloves in the medkit, two pairs of forceps, and has Handson procure a flashlight and the cleanest canteen he can get on short notice. Step one is to have Handson attempt to wash away as much blood as possible while Remington works the light and gently probes the wound to find the bullet. Ideally he can see it when things are clean, but if he has to he'll do it by touch. As he starts his search he adresses Gulbrandr again
"It's a good thing you work out. It seems like the bullet stopped in the muscle of your lower back. Well, from your perspective it's probably not that good, but it's definitely preferable to punching through into the abdominal cavity. Believe you me, perforated intestines are a bad time. Not that you need to worry about that."
Remington's goal with the small talk is to distract Gulbrandr as much as possible from the fact that he has two men two knuckles deep in a hole in his back. Finally, Remington feels the click of forceps against something that's definitely not flesh, and gives it the old college try at removal.
And a roll to pull that sucker out

Between Ingunn and Sigmundr's team with the trolley the pre-packed modules are soon loaded into the hold.
A quick inspection of the warehouse while they they are working shows there are several sculptures, carved architectural elements and what looks a coral-encrusted cannon under the tarpaulins. As the man said, big stuff.
The largest objects are two bird-lion things, each about 4.5m long,1.5m wide and 2.5m high ( roughly 5dT ).
There are three smaller sculptures of similar shape, each 1.5/1/1.5 ( about 1dT each ).
One beast sculpture stands on its own feet ( the others either have a base or are broken off ) and is 2m long ( including tail ), .5m wide, 1m high. Parts of the coral and other accretions have been broken off to reveal shiny white and gold surfaces beneath.
A human-shaped figure, winged and carrying a gun and sword, stands 2.5 meters tall.
There are three carved friezes ranging from .5dT to 1dT and 2dT.
Six cylinders, segments of columns, are present, all carved. The encrustation has been broken away in some places to reveal a highly coloured surface. Each is about .5dT.
In one corner of the warehouse is a workshop area for cleaning the artefacts. In it is a 5m long by 1.5m high section of ancient starship hull. It is ultramarine blue with a strange gold-coloured long-necked and tailed reptilian beast in bas-relief on it.

Áshildr:
I will tell Eno to start the process.
We've been using the fit ones to shift cargo, I will swap in the second raters as we freeze them.
Checking there are none of the warband near and lowering her voice:
I don't know if the warriors being so young will help or not, but.. freezing all the younger women right away? I've seen that cause trouble. You'll want to be ready for that, give them a reason and something else to entertain them.
Ragnheiðr, on her way to the warehouse, sees
Sigmundr's team with the trolley and joins them to help.
As they cross the market in front of the burning Town Hall and approach the Serpent
Ingunn and the APC team pass on their way back to the warehouse. They have made two trips offloading modules at the ramp, now they are returning to see what Raven wants loaded next.
Rúna follows her two prisoners through the smoke of the burning house and across the market. The man she had knocked out has been revived and he and the rifleman with the abdominal wound are supporting each other. None of the three look great but Rúna, limping along at the rear, would probably be taken ffor the loser of the fight if she weren't the one carrying all the weapons.

Stáli and Hróarr walk through the hold to join Leon. As they go they banter about the slaves. Hróarr prefers the woman with the tangler-foam around her upper body, Stáli isn't really taken with any of them, but the well-dressed woman lying drugged and unconscious is the best.
Steinn comes down into the hold too. Presenting himself to Kar he says I might not be any good at lifting weights for a while, Commander, but I can handle slaves.

Leon acknowledges Kar and calls Roberta over noticing her disappointed face at the escapee
Don't worry, shit like that often happens any way cheer up, get ready were going out
Leon calls over to members of the war-group
I'm looking for four of you to come with me and give Raven a hand Also, just before departing Leon will contact Ingrid
Ingred, keep an eye out for any identified, also let a few shots off now and then just t keep the locals at bay
Grabbing his weapons and leading the group Leon heads on out to meet up with Raven.

Raven decides to empty the warehouse of all of its “architectural salvage”. Furthermore she decides that the section of starship hull is a great "draconic" omen that cannot be ignored. She directs Sigmundr's looters to find whatever machinery the locals used to move the salvage and use that to load it aboard the Serpent.
She caught herself fretting as she waited for the slow important things to happen and then mused that is surely sometimes what Raid Leaders must do. She mutters ruefully “Everyone is a pup on this trip – including the raid leader!”
Then she saw Rúna and Ragnheiðr – both in the wrong place but quenched her irritation with memories of her own first raid.
“You two - to me! Rúna you return in the only state a warrior who has ignored two commands could! At least it seems you can make the best of a bad situation – that's a useful ability in a raider. Ragnheiðr you too are out of your place! Discipline wins raids - indiscipline kills raiders. So, since I must watch you both, from now on you two are my bodyguard. Rúna first get your spoils aboard and have your wounds treated – that's not optional”.
Seeing that Sigmundr seems to have the looting well in hand she sets off with Ragnheiðr in tow to find Zinat Darzi's store and check the contents of the third warehouse on the way.
When she becomes aware of the availability of Leon's scratch force she sends him the location via comm and suggests a meet there.
(OOC: Raven experimenting with leadership by putting the two mavericks under her personal control).

Only Stáli, Hróarr and Gulbrandr are available to join Leon and Roberta. They are all lightly wounded but fit enough ( though Hróarr is limping and Gulbrandr shouldn't lift heavy things.
Steinn is working with Áshildr and Sniffer to keep the slaves in line. For now they are stacking the cargo that has been delivered.
Sigmundr and his team fan out and find a heavy-weight trolley on the docks and a cargo hoist in the warehouse, folded back against the wall above the dockside doors and operated from the platform there. It can pivot through a set of doors on it's level and lift things outside the building, making loading the APC easier. They start loading the smaller pieces into the Doomsayer.
Ragnheiðr and Rúna expect the worst when summoned by Raven. Rúna seems to be ready to defend her actions, but restrains herself long enough to realise she doesn't need to. When Raven dismisses her she actually looks proud of herself and, although still limping, looks more like the victor as she gets her prisoners moving again.
Ragnheiðr is more circumspect, hiding her feelings better. She takes her appointment as bodyguard as an honour though.
Leaving the warehouse and moving north Raven and Ragnheiðr cross the road to investigate the next building. The southern part is a two storey house, the northern wing apparently a warehouse/workshop and there is a small shop formed from two stone-built sheds north west of that. The doors are closed and locked, the windows guarded by iron bars and shutters. Some of the shutters are open, giving views into the comfortable rooms inside.
As they are appraising the situation Leon and his team join them.
Sigmundr's team and the APC team work to load the smaller pieces onto the Doomsayer using the travelling hoist and trolleys.
Eno is processing the prisoners for the Low Berths, carefully checking their health status. She calls Handson on the crew comm channel: Handson, if there are no wounded raiders could you help me with the sleep pods?

When Remington pulls, the bullet decides that it's suddenly time to cooperate. The forceps grip was better than Remington expected, and the extra oomph he'd applied ended up sending the bullet rolling across the triage station. Remington tracks it's path and addressees Handson
"Would you grab that for me? I'm guessing that Gulbrandr will want it, and if he doesn't I do. It's not every day you pull your first bullet out of somebody."
While Handson tracks the bullet down, Remington packs Gulbrandr's wound.
"Now I'm not actually qualified to give medical advice, but you're going to want to swap these dressings out daily. If it hurts your injury to move a certain way, I'd advise against moving that way, unless one of the officers tells you to do it. They definitely override any unqualified medical advice I can give. As far as future care goes, keep that clean so you don't get infected and try not to get shot again. It's bad for your health and makes you hang out around me. Eat plenty of good nutritious roast meat and drink lots of citrus juice and you'll grow up big and strong. Wait, wrong shpiel, sorry. Ignore that last bit, eat what you please. Keep the wound clean and change your dressings daily, or get someone else to do it if you can't reach. I'm done with you, which means you officially have medical clearance to get ordered around again. Have fun out there champ, find me a nice knicknack!"
As he finishes his monolouge Remington gets Gulbrandr on his feet, pops the retrieved bullet into his hand, and (gently) claps him on the shoulders. Aside from being a friendly sign of encouragement, this last act propels Gulbrandr towards the door and clears Remington's (or more correctly Handson's) workspace for a new patient. From what little sense he can make of the comms traffic it seems like there might be more priority (that is to say, Oghman) wounded on the way. Remington was on a roll, no point in accidentally pissing off management by not being ready to treat the top priority patients when they made it back.

Raven nods greeting to Leon and Roberta and states
"I'm told that Zinat Darzi keeps items of value in her store. I think that will mean either her warehouse or shop". Indicating the house she adds
"This is the place".
She contacts Ingunn on her comm
"Ingunn, I have a diversion for you on your next trip back. At my location I have a house with barred windows set into the stonework. I want your autocannon to shatter the stone so we can pull away the bars and enter through the window".
Deciding to continue mentoring she explains to Ragnheiðr
"Some autofire will help to quieten the town. It will also suppress those inside who might want to fight. Hopefully some raider hasn't used this trick here before and they haven't proofed the house against it. If they have then you're fetching my plasma gun from the Serpent and we'll need the APC's watercannon to put the fires out. For now your task is to find some rope or chain that the APC can use to pull the weakened bars off with".
Raven shares her plan with Leon and posts Stáli, Hróarr and Gulbrandr at one corner of the house to cover the side and rear aspect (and secure themselves).
She tries to assess the stonework where the bars are seated/bolted to the frame/outer walls for "vulnerability".
