Adventure Section 1.0
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
When the Captain asked for his name he said, Hobart Niles, I go by Lloyd.” Where additional detail is needed, especially where Trpin was unconscious or in one area or the other, he offers ‘color’ to the story. In particular, he knows the names of the conspirators and if they need them, he can provide them.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick will also fill in any requested details related to his part in the adventure.

Captain's sneaky roll [1d100] = 9
The captain listens to your tale and looks at Ghershon; "Well, it looks like we both lost the bet!" Ghershon looks to your group and nods his head knowingly; "Well, I guess we can try again. For now, though, I would like to get to my duty post before someone thinks I jumped ship."
The captain nods then turns to his crew; "Okay, get us underway. Course, Fortress Gollwin. Full burn!"
You soon feel gravity return to the ship as it accelerates. The captain turns to you, "So, my friends. Where can I drop you off at?"

“Before we get underway, do you want to try to recover the device? Also, you should be aware that Star Law was made aware of this and chose not to prioritize your safety.”
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick replies, "The nearest place where we can be getting in touch with Mr. Garrett, our employer."Harpoonrgm84a wrote:Captain's sneaky roll [1d100] = 9

I'm not sure when Daz will join the group and the conversation but the next step in my mind is to contact the ship that we were on previously, Risha's Gambit.

Daz, you will heal 20 stamina per day and you can listen via intercom if you wish as well as talk to them.
The captain crosses it's arms, "You may contact your employer either from this ship, or the station we are headed to. As to the device, we can't pick it up on radar. It must be too small to register. As for star law...they aren't exactly able to jump on the information you gave without confirming it first. The ship you mentioned is in orbit directly ahead. We will be able to connect with them in an hour or so."

"We should contact the ship now so they know that we're safe," Daz replies over the intercom. "We can rendezvous with them at the orbital station. Captain, I assume there's been no sign of the Dark Despair in the system since they disappeared."
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
“That will be sufficient. For the record, they had the evidence... would have been a shame for them, I’m sure, had the device gone off as the terrorists planned. On your ship. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were on the take, but neither here nor there.”Harpoonrgm84a wrote:Daz, you will heal 20 stamina per day and you can listen via intercom if you wish as well as talk to them.

“Let’s call our ship and see if our launch made it back, otherwise we may need to rescue our pilot.”
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Lloyd’s generally low opinion of law enforcement has taken another dive.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Dakk is eager to establish communications with his captain on the Gambit. He will do so at the next available opportunity.

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
The captain begins barking orders; "Comm, flash a message to the Risha's Gambit and let them know we have some of their crew on board and that they are safe. Sensors, what is the status on the Dark Despair?"
The comm officer turns after a few minutes, "Captain, message sent and acknowledged. They will wait in orbit while they refuel."
The sensor officer studies his panel, then turns; "Sir, the Dark Despair is bearing 185 degrees, distance, 250,000 kilometers and accelerating!"
The captain turns to you, "Well, looks like the Dark Despair is fleeing. Too bad we don't have any evidence on them. I will set an alert for all systems to keep an eye on that ship as they may be pirate sympathizers."

"You be seeing any sign of the Risha's Gambit lifeboat or did it be getting back to Risha's Gambit?" Rick asks.

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
"If there was a lifeboat attached to the Dark Despair, they are on a long journey somewhere;unless they got wise up and broke loose before hand."
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
“Let’s hope that Wesley realizes that he shouldn’t be accelerating and detaches. You can’t conduct a search or a ‘random’ inspection? Surely one freighter isn’t able to out accelerate us. What’s their speed? Can you catch them if we decide to be good passengers and stay out of your way? Until you find them, that is, we owe those guys...”
Lloyd understands that a turn maneuver will take time, but hopefully we could at least make it up on a straight run.

Re: Adventure Section 1.0
The captain mulls it over for a moment; "We should be able to overtake the Dark Despair before she can make jump speed. If that is what you want, I can order us about and move to intercept them. They can't jump for a few days unless they try a risk jump. So, let me know what you want to do. I don't have any specific orders anywhere specific."
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
“What’ve you all got to say, sophonts?” If no one is in favor, Lloyd will reluctantly agree and go along to let them get away and return to the Gambit. He’s really ticked that someone tried to maroon him.
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
Rick shrugs and says, "As captain be saying, probably nothing to be arresting them for so, in the end, probably a waste of time."
Re: Adventure Section 1.0
"I don't really know much what's permissible from a legal standpoint but it seems valid to inquire more with the Dark Despair. Their behavior seems erratic and perhaps pirates have overtaken their crew? It seems prudent to verify, for everyone's safety," suggests Daz. "Can we confirm over the comm with Risha's Gambit that the pilot detached the lifeboat and made it back? That's also worth pursuing until we confirm his whereabouts."
