Round 2
The wolf works furiously to free itself from the sticky bomb remains held fast.

The wolf yelps loudly and angrily when Keebler sends an arrow completely through its pointed ear with a near perfect strike! Horatio, Sacro, and Vernon also loose arrows in its direction but with less success.

Junius, on the opposite end of the action, watches the stone and steel door but does not open it. When asked by AdaRue, he relays that he does not hear anything on the opposite side.

Dimly readies his sword and makes his way to the bend in the passage.

Canun, full of praise for his deity's ability loads a stone into his sling and, distracted by his self-praise, releases his projectile too soon, sending it screaming in the opposite direction -- where it plunks the unsuspecting Sacro square in the face!

Amazingly, a PC goes down (and potentially dies!) gets hit without a single attack from an enemy.

onlyme, please make a save vs Death (12+) to see of Sacro is able to stabilize himself:
Death, Dying, and Healing wrote:Death & Dying (LL: 7)
If a PC is reduced to exactly 0 hit points, they are allowed a saving throw versus Death.
  • Success: The character survives, but falls unconscious.
  • Failure: The character succumbs to their injuries and dies.
    (Note: In the event of a PC death, that players is welcome to create a replacement character.)
OOC: Not needed. I forgot to apply the damage the player provided, which was only half of my roll.

Having shot an arrow through the dire wolf's ear, Keebler sends the next shot right between its eyes.

Sacro hears Canun call out to him, but the recent stone pelted against his temple has left him with major ringing in his ears and temporarily deaf.
He nods after he arrow is flung and says,
Kinda like chicken, I hear.

Not wanting to risk a stone to the head, Vernon ducks back, letting the others finish the dire wolf.

AdaRue nudges Junius and Rainey. Let's open it and see before more wolves or goblins come along. Vernon and Dimly are right there if we need them.

Round 3
The wolf continues to thrash about in the gluey mess it's stuck in, but only manages to make itself get caught up even more. It is nearly fully pinned against the right wall, barely able to move.

Plunk!
An arrow from Keebler strikes it.

An arrow from Sacro strikes it.

Plunk!
An arrow from Horatio strikes it.


The creature whimpers as one arrow after another slices through its thick fur and sinks into its flesh.

It collapses.

It's chest can barely be seen rising and falling as it fights for each breath. The blinded wolf, barely clinging onto life, and now completely trapped in a glue-filled hallway, is, for all intents and purposes, defeated.

Doesn't Rothal have a spear? If so, could a PC use it to stab the wolf without getting stuck?
No use in wasting arrows.

I'm updating from my phone, so this will be brief:
  • The group can easily dispatch of the wolf without resorting to further ranged attacks (so save your arrows).
  • You begin to hear goblin voices in the distance, coming from the main passage (not yet in the side passage you're battling they wolf in).
  • It will take one person to assist Junius in opening the stone and steel door.

Vernon says they should pour oil over the sticky mess and toss a flask beyond it. When the goblins come, they will rush in, get stuck and then we can light it. Burn them all. As long as everyone agrees, he will do that with 2 flasks of his oil.
