yes, I wasn't sure what happened because I use my mobile to game with and the battery was very low and then my connection got lost. The roll in the campaign was done on Fri am as I was sorting out the three farmers Thaco and rolls as well since you asked. I pictured us firing once and then advancing downhill to fire at closer range hence Foxy shooting at +3 (+1 short range bonus) instead of normal missile +2. The battery power quit suddenly so by time I got on line again the encounter had moved on.

Okay, I will roll for the arrow damage....[1d6] = 6

can Foxy not shoot and kick the sleepers at the same time.

Foxy initiative: [1d6] = 3

The farmers abruptly snoring beside her, Foxy shakes her head clear and takes aim at the pair of dogs. She releases her shot and it flies true - puncturing through the red leathery side of the beast and impaling it's heart and lung. The hound falters and after a final shake of its neck in Mors jaws, lies still.

The red robe and Clay both begin intoning words and making gestures. Light springs from the wizard's eyes as the Red Robe cries out in alarm, falling to his knees with his hands on his face.

One wizard, two hounds, and four draft horses remain ensnared in the underbrush which still writhes angrily. (7 more rounds).

Foxy O'Hare

"Clay, club 'Brighteyes' senseless, we'll need him to talk later! get Mors to wake the others, I'll finish these off."

Foxy moves down the slope from the brow of the hill to get a closer range shot at 'Bruce the spruce'. "You're about to stop dancing on the end of that gibbet" she taunts him as she takes aim and fires.

Foxy: Shortbow short range: [1d20+3] = 13+3 = 16 arrow damage: [1d6] = 5

Wary of the hellhounds breathing fire to untangle themselves and charge at her, Foxy will stay on the edge of the writhing vegetation and pepper them with arrows until they stop moving.

Clay Weatherwax
With no time to be relieved, Clay hooted to Maurice to wake the farmers gently. He did his best to ask Morr to do the same, using body language, but Clay wasn't going to waste time getting it perfect. He was on a mission. Staff in hand, he rushed to the last living mage and attempted to subdue him. Clay wanted him unconscious.

Subdue mage [1d20] = 17 dmg [1d6] = 1
EDIT: I forgot to include my -1 modifier for strength.
And in case we need it: Initiative [1d6] = 3

Foxy taunts the tangled Red Robe and fires, her arrow striking true. The man no longer struggles against the spruce branches which hold his body.

Clay charges at the blinded Red Robe, thwacking him awkwardly on the shoulder with the end of his stick. Mors, seeing his master charging into battle, leaps to follow him, but becomes immediately ensnared in the vines and brambles, immobilized in the brush. Feeling the young druid near him, the Red Robe leaps blindly at him, his shear mass overbearing Clay and knocking him into the vines as well, where they continue to struggle against the vines and each other. (Clay roll an opposed STR check to get free as your action next round.) Two red, leathery hounds, one loyal pup, and four draft horses continue to struggle against the vines. (6 more rounds.)

Foxy O'Hare

Foxy stays on the edge of the entangles spell, out f range of grasping roots and takes a steady aim at one of the hounds.

Foxy: Shortbow short range: [1d20+3] = 18+3 = 21 arrow damage: [1d6] = 5

"Mr Red Robe, I would cease struggling if I was you, all your associates are dead and you will be next if you move to threaten my young friend. Cease your struggle and surrender immediately." Foxy warns the mage and nocks another arrow to aim at the next target.

Marullus: i took that roll you asked for, but what I was wondering was if Clay noticed any weapons on this guy. Because Clay's main concern would be to try and get those away from the mage and chuck them into the grass. I didn't know how to convey that. ..
Thanks.

Roxy's arrow flies true, piercing deeply into the flesh of the red leathery hound, and this makes it angry. It breathes a gout of flame from its mouth, crisping the vines and breaking it's head free. It begins howling and barking at you in rage, it's body still bound.

The Red Robe and Clay struggle in the vines, both muttering or yelling at each other amid the chaos of vines, angry thistles, and men. As you reload, he pushes back, and tries to put up his hands but instead has to keep swatting vines. "Surrender it is then, madam. Why have your brigands waylaid my unarmed party? We have no valuables for you to steal, I fear."

Clay stops struggling beneath his assailant, listening to the man's words. As the plants thrash about him, the young druid looks around at the carnage - three dead men, a dead hound... Tears form in his eyes. Dear Beith... What have we done? he whispers. Foxy? Foxy! Stop! It's okay. This guy is okay. We owe him a debt! We've killed his friends. He wipes the tears from his eyes, rises to his knees and works to unwind the vines from the mage's legs and torso. Can I help you? ...Please let me help you... He absentmindedly addressed Morr whimpering beside him, In a moment Morr. I've got to help this man first. We have to make this right.

Foxy O'Hare

Foxy retreats up the hill firing at one of the dogs in the thicket as she sprints. Getting to the farmers still sleeping she shakes one violently, screaming in their faces."wake up you dozy basterds, the boy is bewitched and you will be killed. Awake and arm yourselves."

on my mobile, rolled 1d20+3=6,

Foxy fires a shot at the snarling hound but it goes wide, then she turns to sprint back up the hill. When she reaches the top she finds that Maurice has awakened the farmers, who are quite disturbed at having been pecked awake from an enchanted slumber by an owl. They rise and grab their weapons, confused at her declaration but ready to follow her lead.

Clay apologizes profusely to the Red Robe, who has surrendered and pointed out Foxy and Clay's brigand nature. He counterspells his Light spell, allowing the wizard to return to normal sight. Mors and the two red-skinned hounds remain bound in the vines with the four horses. (4 rounds left)

Foxy O'Hare

Foxy leads the farmers downhill, spreading out so we cannot be caught in the same AoE for spells."Slay the devil dogs before they get released." she commands the farmers who aim at the entangled creatures. ( Any + to hit as they might be denied dex bonus being pinned? Every little helps).

Foxy meanwhile covers the Red Robe and commands him to kneel with hands outstretched."If you value your life you will release my friend from his bewitchment. If he moves to attack me I will slay you first. Co-operate with us and you may go back to your ruin. Otherwise I will offer your body on Sduboks bonfire ."

Anything other than the RR being compliant will result in Foxy during at him straight away.

Clay didn't know why he was surprised by Ms. O'Hare's actions. She had shown herself to be hotheaded in the past, killing all those goblins despite his efforts to resolve things peacefully. And here she was, ready to kill things again... He told the mage to hide in the grasses while he dealt with the matter.

Hold farmers! I am no more bewitched than you. Was it not Maurice who woke you all - upon my command? Is that the act of someone under a spell? Listen to reason, I beg you!

I have saved each of you from death. I led you here with the notion that death was needed to see our quest through. But I was wrong. This man is unarmed and has surrendered himself, yet Ms. O'Hare continues to threaten him. He does us no harm now. No more than Balex. If you are willing to accept a goblin that tortured you to live, why wouldn't your human-kin deserve the same?

Ms. O'Hare revels in bloodshed - look at her! She did the same when we freed Gus and George, increasing tensions by killing goblins ruthlessly. Will you be party to such violence? You are farmers. You cultivate life. Do not be swayed by this woman's penchant for death.
He turned to address Foxy. Ms. O'Hare, if I were to turn against you, it wouldn't be because of this man's suggestions. It'd be because you are reckless and have no love for the balance of this world, killing whomever crosses your path. Lay down your weapons now. You are the aggressor here, not him. He may know a way to help us free the girls from the goblins! You said it yourself. We need him alive!

The farmers loose a volley at the red leathery dogs from hell, their slathering and barking maws frothing with aggression as they remain tied by constricting vines. The arrows are true - keen-eyed shots that end both hounds' lives instantly.
Farmers shoot [1d20] = 10 [1d20] = 20 [1d20] = 20

The Red Robed man begins to wail openly, his hands in the air as the plants finally become still around him. "Please, madam! Please! You've killed all my fellows, don't kill me, too! I have nothing of value for you to steal, I swear!" He begins abject, pitiful sobbing.

The farmers blanch, looking uncomfortably at Foxy. "I can't say I see the good in killing a blubbering, surrendered man, Ms. Foxy," Mr. Farrow tells her quietly but sternly, looking to Clay with a nod. Gus and George tend to the four horses, now freed, helping them to their feet.

The bodies of four men and three hounds lie on the ground, the flaccid grasses now pitifully non-threatening. The bright, cloudless sunshine of late evening shine down on the carnage.

Foxy O'Hare

"Great shooting guys, those flame dogs will not roast us tonight,"Foxy celebrates their excellent marksmanship."Now each of you strip and change clothes with one of the Red Robes, we will need heir distinctive disguise. Search each body, not interested in the coins, though that may cover farm losses. We need every bit of kit, scroll, book, implement. Tonight Mr Farrow we shall rescue your daughter....from the hands of goblins who would bonfire you and from this blubbering sorcerer who would enslave and I'll treat her. You feel sorry for him, he has no repentance for the evil he would do Annabelle and Clarabelle."

Foxy brings the groups focus back to mission, all the while covering the mage with her bow.

"Bind the captive securely Clay, we can interrogate him in the copse. Take his weapon, he is not unarmed or unable to cast spells. Like I said, if he surrenders and complies he can live....unlike those goblins you brain mashed when defenceless Clay. Still as you
'led us here'
so lead on."

Foxy doesn't trust that Clay isn't subject to some bewitchment passed on to him when he wrestled with the Red Robe. So she will watch both closely, even telling the farmers to be wary also. After the farmers change and we get stuff from the bodies, I suggest we lead the horses to the close and discuss strategy from there.

If we play good cop, bad cop with the Red Robe, he might tell us what they are up too and confirm what Balex said earlier. Clay, you can be good cop... :)

Clay curses the farmers and Foxy for their callousness and rushes to the robed man, placing a gentle hand upon his shoulder. He speaks comfortingly to the mage before turning and addressing his fellow adventurers. Look at this man. We have killed all his companions and now his beast-friends - all on the suspicion they were up to no good. And that was because of information we gained from a creature that has caused all manner of trouble to Mr. farrow and his men, here. And I had told you all he had surrendered, yet you shot anyway.
Ms. O'Hare, I will not bind this man's hands. He has surrendered and his words have convinced me he speaks the truth when he says he has nothing of value to us. We must do what we can to comfort and console his grief.

Clay turned to the mage again. Tell us what we can do to assist you, please. I, at least, will do what I can to assist you. Is there some way we should honor your friends and these creatures? A pyre for a ceremony, perhaps?

Clay stands protectively over the man, waiting to hear what he says.

Sorry for the delay. I was in NYC for the weekend and for some reason my phone wasn't connecting to the US forum or die-roller. Weird.
