Lar is a paladin. Let's make the most use of our characters and plan a bit if we ever find one another.

I agree. Gragog is all fighter. So he would more than likely be in a tavern or if there is a fighter guild/arena be there.

Gotcha. I think we're still waiting for Computer +1 and Smoke Warrior to roll up their characters before the new group can be introduced to the campaign.

Zhym, Do you have a final ruling on xp?

It's still 40,000 each. If we lose a character or two, I might add some XP, but let's go with that for now.

Is either Computer or Smoke bringing a single class MU?

Pretty ironic. You scare him off and then you stay!
Heck I was ready to pack it in there for a minute!

well it was a whole matter of wanting to see this game to the end for one and my hatred for how things have turned out but then the want to keep playing despite my attachment to my characters really I was fighting with myself. a even 50/50 againsts and for the game eventually my game addiction kicked in and said screw it lets stay.

Do Castran and Bragar get any xp now we are back at the ranch?
Welcome on board everyone new. It's a fun but tough game. The best kind!

Welcome into the world of Ravenloft. It is a campaign to be reckon with.

I've been thinking about gods.
Not on an existential level or anything. But death, alignment, and symbols of good vs. evil are important in this campaign. I think it loses something when I have to resort to vague descriptions like "a lawful good holy symbol," when instead I might have said "a silver eight-pointed star, which you recognize as the holy symbol of Elbereth, god of peace and protection from harm." Especially with so many clerics now, I think it makes sense to have specific deities, holy symbols, and spheres of influence.
I'm not entirely happy with any of the stock human pantheons that I know of (Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Greyhawk). The pantheons listed in Deities & Demigods aren't that useful either; their mythologies don't really fit this setting and most of them don't even cover all nine alignments.
So I'm trying to decide between settling for something like modified Greyhawk or Forgotten Realms (Dragonlance is right out) or making up my own (or taking some from a campaign I played in over 20 years ago, as an homage to a great game that was cut off too soon). There probably will be only one deity per alignment to start; maybe two. If any of you, especially those running clerics, want to make up your own deities, we could add them to the official pantheon.
Or maybe I'll just assign alignments to Tolkien's Valar.
Thoughts?

Sounds good. I am cool with whatever you decide, though clerics of a deity of peace are pretty screwed so if that's their only choice for that alignment I think it's unlikely to suicide that anyone would choose that alignment.

Maybe a cleric of peace brings about peace by destroying anyone who would fight them.

Yeah, Davros thought the Daleks were agents of peace. Once they wiped out all other life forms, then the universe would know peace.

Interesting point. You could have a LE god of "peace."
