Yes, if it makes strategic sense. The goblins are locked in, and we're not sure how well blocked the kobolds are. The reason the party voted to go for the kobolds first was to not leave enemies at our backs, IIRC. Besides, we aren't really going backwards, we'll still be exploring new rooms.

Adel is right. Besides that, Fanxyl doesn't have his weapons. They are with the Kobolds next to the barracks where we found him...north!

We could even conceivably leave the goblins until after we have explored everything and gotten our loot out. They would just sit and starve to death.

Fanxyl I will stay with these 2. I don't think they will be much of problem. If they make a noise or move step. I will feed them to the goblins. Trendt please relay that to them.

Trendt informs the Kobolds that Fanxyl is going to guard them. "I'm sorry kobolds my friends here had a different idea than my plan to let you go free." He looks back to Fanxyl "I've informed them that you are their new guard."

Fanxyl-Ranger I will bring these two along behind the group. I will be no good in a real fight till I get my armor and the rest of my weapons.

After the kobolds have been secured, they are handed over to Fanxyl, who has only his long sword, which was found under the iron cage. He knows that the rest of his weapons and gear are in the next room beyond the kobold barracks, which is where the party is now heading.

Llewellyn has satisfied his curiosity about the moss, having scraped it off from some of the rock with a kobold's rusty dagger, revealing smooth rock wall behind it that seems solid and sturdy enough and completely natural. He decides that sometimes a moss covered wall is just a moss covered wall. While not very interesting, it's a relief.

The party turns around in the moss room and begin heading north, back toward the kobold barracks.

The time is 1:30pm. Three barrels of oil still sit inside the entrance to the cave.

Everyone is in usual marching order, this time with Fanxyl and the kobolds taking up the back of the line. The kobolds are quiet and cooperative, their only thought right now to somehow survive this.

The party finds their way back to the kobold barracks where they face the door that's been blocked by a heavy iron cage and the doorknob is tied to a wall sconce with old kobold clothing. The door opens outward into the room they are standing in. It beckons to them and they know there must be the last remaining kobolds back there, with 2 leaders and 4 main guards at the very least, not counting regular kobolds, by the count of the kobold prisoners.

Trendt knocks on the door and speaks in kobold he looks back to the others "That might give em something ta think about."

"The burning oil approach worked well last time, and based on what the captured kobolds have told us, it seems very doubtful they possess any artifacts that could be burned in such a fire" suggests Adel. Looking towards Sammy with a grin, he says "or, we could just waltz in and attack everything."

"Trendt, it would be helpful if we moved the cage first so they are able to come out." Gwennethel begins untying the doorknob while she gestures to Trendt and Sammy to move the cage.

Trendt "Aye it would. But I wanted to ensure they would surrender before we went and did that."
