After breaking camp and packing back up, O'rek responds to Gwillt's invite "Ahhh, Lights blessing upon ye, it would be my pleasure to travel with such a noble group! Yer thinkin' about heading back to O'hare and seein' what there is to be seein'? and maybe helpin'? Sounds like that's worth pursuing and maybe just maybe what's brought my path here!"

Spells prayed for:
CLW, CLW, CLW

Gwillt nods, "splitting up with different objectives is bad, I agree, though I'm not opposed to splitting up in order to approach targets from multiple sides at once."

He shakes his head at Ewell's disparaging remarks about missile weapons. "Ranged attacks are basic strategy and almost necessary when dealing with the larger numbers we've faced so far," Gwillt replies. "In fact, one or two rounds of arrow fire into that last group might have made all the difference in reducing their initial numbers or weakening some of them to where they wouldn't have been as effective in the fight. In the future, it would be good to avoid the headlong charge," he raises an eye brow as he turns his gaze to the young barbarian, "and allow the two ran..." he catches himself, glancing at the stone cairns off to the side, "ummm.. allow those of us with bows to do what we can before we engage."

"As for spells," he continues, "we have less to worry about in that regard, now that Garth is no longer with us. But his casting was supremely effective on several occasions and I don't know if we would be here today without it."

Given Dave's rule on replacing an uncast spell with CLW at any given time, might I recommend you NOT pick CLW as your three spells and pick something else that may be more useful?

Then, if it becomes necessary, you can always replace one of them with CLW on-the-fly, as it were.

OOC: definately. Thanks! Will do CLW, sanctuary, and bless if allowed to change or wait until the next memorization period

You're still more than welcome to change your spells, and don't even need to memorize the one cure light wounds as it will always be available to you, even if/when you memorize any other spell.

This.

I would recommend NONE of your memorized spells be CLW, as any one of your uncast spells can, at any point in the day, be switched out with CLW.

I agree but am still betting all clerical spells cast for the foreseeable future will be CLW. The only choice you have to make each time is which alternate to dump! :D

ooc: sweet. I think i'm only able to learn 3 spells and those are the three I memorized. Not likely to cast 3 sanctuaries or 3 blesses in a day --- not with this groups track record of dice rolls! Statistically, when we head back to town our die rolls should be so that we tear the trogs a new one!

Don't bet on it, Epsilon used sanctuary and command last time to save his butt.

I think we need to target getting to the goat. My instincts tell me something there is the key to all of this.

Grim rouses and nods, impressed with the rangers speech of tactics.
"This seemin guut to me. Grimnail is no hardened by many battles, so instinct screams to live and die wit no fear. Better ta take many more foes 'fore I go ta whatever end waits, me thinks. You tells Grim what ta do dat works best fer group. Grim do."
He makes sure his axes and scimitar are secure, scoops up the javelins and follows.
"Lizzies dropped deez spears last time. Let's go give'em back!"

Aye, but the wine was stored elsewhere. Maybe your instincts are off?

Sorry Wolf, I had forgotten that!

Kaltar conducts his morning prayers with Strom, then shoulders his pack ready for travel back to the town:

"I agree the Goat is worth checking out as the potential source of the problem we have encountered but we must seek to aid whichever decent folk - if there are any - that are still left in the town too."

Actually, that all happened in Epsilon's private thread so you wouldn't have known about those spells having been used.

I plan to open a new thread and post the updated action tonight, which will most likely just be a scene-setting post as you make your return to O'Hare... unless some rolls really go against you. ;)

Epsilon smiles at grim.

there was some strange business going on there my large friend. the patrons were very aggressive and seemed to be hiding something. and while the battle was going on I do not remeber seeing those same patrons coming out to defend the village.

"As bad as our first encounter with the Goat went, I still must warn, it could be worse. Hatreds exist there. They are probably looting as we speak. We should hurry."
