Yay! I am finally really able to do things in my campaign!

While I was watching your site develop I downloaded a Shadowrun 3e pdf to read through.

Okay, just to be sure I have my ducks in a row... or at least that my thoughts aren't getting away from me like a chaos of ferrets... Our current roster looks like this:

1. Juramenta: PhysAd...
2. Shaidar: Rigger or Techie
3. Areolewa: Street Sam
4. Gremlin: Street Shaman

That gives us enough to play. I will wait a few more days to see if I get any more nibbles before I ask the admins to set up a game forum.

I am a complete newbie with Shadowrun but not roleplaying in general. Cyberpunk meets fantasy sci-fi I can do with a little nurturing along the way with SR lore and legends. If you like an extra body to round a group, I could create a character fairly quickly.

Okay... I am still thinking that these should be the threads:

1. In Game (which I will probably name by chapter since the admins say they don't want them to be more than 20 pages)
2. Important Game Information (FAQ, House Rules, Posting Guidelines)
3. OOC
4. Character sheets
5. NPCs
6. Images
7. Absences
8. Maps (Which I must warn you will be slim. I suck at making maps and have absolutely no sense of direction)

It sounded like most of you want to do die rolls in the game channel with the spoiler tab... I'll try that for a bit, and see how it goes. If I hate it, I can always add a Die Rolls thread later.

Have I missed anything?

No worries on being new to the system... we were all newbies once... And honestly, the RP matters more than the ruleset.

Give me a second, and I will add you to the campaign. Please don't post there yet, though. I am still figuring out how I want to set up my threads. This is the first game I have run on Unseen Servant.

Please feel free to make a character. Be sure to read the FAQ... we are very low-powered. I would rather no more magicians... Since magic is supposed to be rare, and we already have a caster.

Okay, @Sterling, I added you to the campaign. I will submit your name to get a private channel in my forum in a bit. I have three others who are supposed to join, so when they sign up for Unseen Servant, I will submit all four of your names to admin.

Okay, I think I am basically set up. I would like to keep all the pregame questions and stuff here, rather than the OOC thread in the game forum. One of the three friends I mentioned joined Unseen Servant today, so I have added him to the game forum even though he has not yet posted here. With luck, his wife and one of my former PBeM games will be joining, too. If that is the case, we will be closed for players... and ready to go as soon as all characters are done.

Feel free to read the documents and opening prologue if you want... You've seen the FAQ, and a lot of the expectations are from my GM post... But I tweaked everything for this game... and some may not have read those before.

Anyway, I am off to bed. Nighty night, chummers.

I will look into a Merc in the way of an Orc who was a sniper in the military. He goblinized while in the Service. Smartgun links to a .50 bolt-action rifle but uses knives and a sword for playing.

Bone Biter will be his name, as it was given to him by his Commanding Officer. He likes him and is a contact but not too much help.

Maybe intel or a place to crash when down and out on his luck.

Sooooo Charybdis... Anything particular you would like added to the team? You know I will happily ruin any trope from Peaky Blinders to Mod Frogs.....

Bone Biter the Orc Reporting.
He goblonized in the military as a long-range sniper.
He has a calm demeanor and is not rushed to action. He surveys the room and is always looking to aid the beings being abused by others.
.50cal bolt action rifle with a smart-gun link to an eye pack (if allowed)
Right now, he is down and out due to PTSD as his Commanding Officer turned on him, and he is being hunted as an AWOL. He is running to avoid a Court Marshal and being imprisoned for changing into his current form.

So anyone asking about the band, all we have is a guitarist and singer, so it's open there.

As for points, well I've spent 4 on guitars and specialised into electric guitars to give me a 5. I think 3 would be a good minimum, but specialisation is your friend here. I spent the last 2 on songwriter and specialised into rock for 1/3, another songwriter would help.

I'll do the drums aside from the graffiti art.
3 in drums, 5 in graffiti.

We are planning on teaming up lifestyle. So instead of all having a bad appartment, we are going to live good with a high lifestyle.
You will get the first month for free, that's taken care off.
Afterwards it's 2250 nuyen a month if all 8 join in.
That's less than half for a middle lifestyle each month.

But it's not necessary of course, just an option.

I think we have one in every role except decker and face.
There was only one spot for mage and that one is taken in the form of a shaman. But Chary did say she might allow two with a full group.

If we are following the standard pattern we now need a bass guitar and a rhythm guitar (Revs having taken the lead guitar spot ), but we could vary that and have a keyboard. (I'm not really that musically inclined)

Sorry I posted a greeting in the game ooc thread, but at least it confirms you have added folk correctly.

I will read again through the pdf and this LfP to get a sense of who and what the group might need to complement gifts and skills.

Sounds like several of you might know each other already? So I'll add a bio to introduce myself a little here after church.

Any questions, I'll ask here, sure you can smooth out any bits I will be unsure about.

Just a quick note, in case you missed it. Rather than using the creation system in the main rulebook we are using a point buy system from the Shadow Companion book (80 points) for attributes, active skills, race, magic and resources. Knowledge skills and languages are per the main book.

Goblnization usually happens at puberty, but it's based in magic, so stranger things have happened, I guess. Please remember that these characters are just starting out. So, any military career would have to have been very short... unless he got an early discharge.

See my comments on your earlier post... Having to have a medical discharge for PTSD works. Several of the Flaws might help with that. He will just have come to his horrid experience young.

The .50 cal is military gear. Be sure to check the FAQ about Availability, Rating, and Street Index limits. You are just starting your shadow career. You are rising talent in your small neighborhood in Downtown Seattle, but you have yet to break into the larger Shadow scene in the rest of Seattle, let alone the UCAS or the world.
