The Gam’A Zone 21D/82 (Evening)
After finding a suitable piece of rubble to hold the door open, Silvestri focuses his psychic manipulation on the ferrous portal. Kurot, Denslow, and Anton apply vertical force against the door’s surface. The combined effort forces the reluctant door up and into a ceiling pocket. Once the bottom is high enough, Max slides the block of debris under the door’s edge to keep it open. You lower the door onto the block and wait a few minutes to ensure its safe.
The sound of running water echoes from the dark void beyond. The pitch of the noise indicates a voluminous chamber.

Max scratches his head. Okay, maybe it wasn’t too dangerous.
He lights his lantern and then crouches down to shine the light in and get a better look into the space beyond.

The Gam’A Zone 21D/82 (Evening)
The twenty-foot-wide corridor stretches beyond the door for ninety feet, ending in a hole or pit in the floor. The side walls curve gently down until they meet the floor at the end. Above, there's no ceiling in sight, just an ominous dark void.
The echo of running, trickling water reverberates through the void, suggesting the presence of a large chamber.

Max slips under the door and starts slowly walking down the hall, holding his lantern high. Guys, he stage whispers, there’s a big hole down here at the end.

The Gam’A Zone 21D/82 (Evening)
Max steps into a vast, circular chamber with a diameter of 180 feet and a height of 220 feet. The floor and ceiling are concave. From a jagged breach in the smooth, artificial stone wall, a waterfall plunges down from about 160 feet up the side. It flows through a jagged valley carved into the concave floor, passing under a brief intact section before disappearing into a hole at the passage's end.
The source of the water lies somewhere in the dark recesses leading out of the chamber, high above.

Woah, guys you have to come see this, exclaims Max to the others. This place could have its own ecology!
How high are the walls of the corridor into this place?

Denslow lumbers into the chamber. He would like to examine the water. It must be pretty old to carve a path like that in the ground, he muses. I wonder if this chamber has been breached since the ancients closed it all those eaons ago.

Silvestri follows the others in.
"I certainly wasn't expecting this. I wonder if we can get down that hole?"

This partial view illustrates the entry:

The walls of the corridor are 20ft high where it enters the chamber (red line). The magenta dot is the floor of the corridor.
The corridor intersects the concave bottom and the walls gradually reduce following the curve of the chamber's bottom.

Agreed, Anton, says Denslow. He will get the ropes hitched to allow someone to explore down the shaft.

The Gam’A Zone 21D/82 (Evening)
At the center of the domed ceiling, you notice a 30-foot diameter sphere punctuated by 3-foot diameter holes. It appears to be made of tarnished metal, perhaps copper, brass, or gold.
Water cascades out of a cavern 160 feet up, down a waterfall, and plunges 80 feet into a pool at the bottom of a 16-foot diameter well.
The water has a slight unnatural blue tint, possibly due to a dissolved substance.

We’d need more rope if we were to get up to that… thing on the ceiling, says Denslow. But someone can explore down that shaft. I’d avoid the water though. I wouldn’t slips my roots into it.

I’ll go down the shaft, you big ninny, says Max. He ties one end of the rope to himself. We just need to tie the other end to a tree or something…
