The worg quickly recovers from its previous misstep and
Alordan feels a sharp pain in his side as the beast lashes out and successfully catches the ranger in an unprotected area
(-7hp) and the gnawing jaws of the worg are enough to prevent
Alordan from returning a successful strike of his own.
Gwillt rushes to the defense of
Alordan but isn't able to land a successful blow.
Ewell also comes to assist
Alordan in the battle against the worg, but his situation quickly becomes complicated as the worg catches the misguided lance in its mouth as the lance passes, snapping the treasured lance literally in half with its jaws.
---
The trio of goblins manage to each launch another javelin attack before
Strom and
Kaltar reach them, but their aim is horrible and the advancing pair are able to avoid being struck.
Strom looks to capitalize on the opportunity but the goblin target (
g5) proves to be just nimble enough to avoid being slashed.
Kaltar's intended target (
g6) also proves to be too dexterous and is able to avoid the mace sent crashing down in its direction.
saalaria, I went ahead and made the following roll for you: "Kaltar on g6: [1d20] = 11 [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6"
As an aside, I would encourage all players to include actions and any necessary rolls if there's even a possibility of their character being able to make an action that round. If a roll is necessary but not included, I will make it in order to not hold up action, but the results of my rolls will be final -- for good or for bad.
Garth makes sure to keep the last remaining orc (
o9) between himself and the worg, while
Shannigans raises his bow once again and fires twice at the goblins. The advancing
Kaltar steps into the way of
Shannigans' first shot, which narrowly misses, but
Shannigans second shot manages to target a goblin (
g5), dropping it.
