Argneir smiles as the others indicate they also wish to continue on.

Sax to the three of you, "Thank you all, I do appreciate your help. I don't think my man would still be alive without your help and we are better provisioned and more secure then before as well because of you. I will not forget it. I will talk to the others and come up with a plan to get us moving again, most likely in the morning. We have plenty of fresh meat and another day of rest will do us all some good, leaving late in the day is never a good idea either."

Feel free to role play anything for the rest of the day. Reminder that you still have some items you haven't really examined much (Algrim hasn't examined the key and you haven't done Psychometry on it either).

I am working on moving into the first scenario you will face and will post that up once ready but we can keep this moving along until then (and it may just pop up here  ).

Arngeir

"Morning is good!"

Once Sax is gone, Arngeir will call Algrim and Idril away for a private conversation.

"Before we go from here, I try get answers from key? Treasure might be near. Three answers I can try to find. One, what it opens, two it's direction, three is how far. You have think others? Better ones?"

Algrim will do more of the same helping the guards take on guard duty sharing stories and jokes. Later on he will check on the others and listen about the key. "I may not be able to say if it's magical or anythin but I can give that key a look I suppose."

Algrim takes the key and looks it over. As the others watch his expression changes and he carefully studies it even more.
The key is Khuzan make. Clan Tirion's mark is on the key so your clan made this key. Studying it more carefully you note another mark as well, this is a master key, fit to multiple locks. Lastly a third mark, you can't recall what it means but it is familiar..

Please make a Locksmith roll.

"Look at key while I pray and rest. Even small extra knowing may help when I seek answers from it."

He goes and finds a quiet spot to invoke Prayer Of Elkyri, seeking assistance from Ylina, and then rests before returning to the others.

Algrim explains "This is a master key made by me clan. Other folk might call it a skeleton key o' sorts."

Algrim suddenly grins.
The last mark on the key is well worn, but you are convinced it is the mark used to designate a Khuzdul outpost. Most, but not all were abandoned after the fall of the Khuzdul city of Kiraz roughly 600 years ago. The Khuzdul do not discuss the fall of Kiraz with non-Khuzdul.
Potential Questions:
Assuming Baild of Elendsa also owned the key, which seems likely then:
Who is Baild of Elendsa?
How did he end up with this key?
He had the key 95 years ago?
Did he know what he had?

Arngeir

The Ivinian considers the options while he rests. After discussing it with the others, he decides to start by using the dagger to try and learn more about this "Baild of Elendsa", so they can choose their questions better.

He settles down with the dagger, focuses his mind and frames his first question:

"Who was baild of Elendsa"

Baild of Elendsa was an Erana (Wandering Knight) of the Order Lady of Paladins, the brother of Halden I, King of Kaldor.

You made it on your first attempt, no extra information.

Argneir

Question #3

"How many times has the dagger been hidden behind the stone."

I'm sure there are better questions, but the answer will be interesting and I want to move things along

Once he has the last answer he will rest, use Prayer of Elkyri again, rest again, and then use psychometry on the key. (unless the others intervene)

Algrim kind of losing interest in the whole question asking bit saunters off to chat with the guards as per his normal and helps take watch.

Idril watches Arngeir with keen interest, anxiously awaiting news on the items, a gleam of avarice in her eyes.
