I think I've done what needs doing for the first round of Jakob. If not, please let me know.

Yes, thank you.
I'm working through the individual actions so bear with me and I'll catch everyone up for "Round One".

Tiglath, I posted over in the IC thread that Frank was switching to his gauss pistol
But I've just remembered that last I knew he had a grenade launcher attached to his gauss Rifle with a couple od heap grenades.
So two questions...
Firstly, do you agree this is the case?
Secondly, if so then is firing heap grenades in this situation too dangerous for friendly fire?
If the answer is yes and no, then can I change my post to have him fire a grenade?
I'm going for a "onesie" answer combined with not penalising Frank for stuff he'd know.
He would know that all the way down the corridor might be long range for his pistol and that the rifle's the surer option (and throws a higher volume of fire down range and with more stopping power). HEAP grenades are the wrong tool for lightly armoured multiple goons - you'll just kill one of them a lot! He'll either be fatally overpenetrated by the 40mm rocket boosted grenade or it will detonate
in him (so he's toast either way) but the blast (designed to focus to defeat armour) won't spread to catch his mates. You'd need HE here.

OK, so the real answer to go and get some more ammo for the rifle, and be quick about it?
Are they in a good range for stun grenades?
Are you happy for me to delete my current IC post and wait for you to finish round one?

I haven't read it yet so have at it!
I'll never know...
Yes to stun grenades but with HE or Stun you do risk "blue on blue" if your troops are up and about in the north/south running corridors in their block (that you can't see into).
Also see below.

I applied the "rule of lazy" (which helped you out no end!) so the Squads occupy the dormitories nearest where they deploy to / work.
So, looking only at the
Non Comms "sqare" of accommodation (the right hand one) there is a dormitory labelled "Barracks" at each cardinal point:
North: Skip's Squad (who are already deployed as sentries)
East: Prerna's Recon Team (already deployed on the roof) NB This (empty) dorm has been fragged by the insurgents
West: Jakob's 1st Rifle Squad
South: Jess' "cavalry" are nearest the garages.

How much ammo can one grab and get back to position in one round?

I don't see an armoury, can I presume the troops have their weapons and armour in their barrack-room?
With the high-alert status after the exciting day and night before it would make sense for the lads to have a weapon and ammo ready to hand for emergency response.

That's one of those "lengths of pieces of string" situations.
In one round whatever you are grabbing has to be pre-prepared and ready to go in the ammo pouches on your webbing. This depends on what type of pouches you have and whether you have personally elected to carry lots of spare ammo in a bandolier/extra pouches.
Ruling of thumb - you are in light order for inside security and in your own base (so lots of reserve ammo nearby - if not a "ready reserve").
Therefore I'll say
three mags will be readily available to grab in pouches on your "belt kit".
You'll have more but in bigger ammo pouches and in packs etc which you would add to you kit if deploying outside.

Yes - obviously if you do this when in "garrison mode" the enterprising little tykes will use their rifles for committing bank jobs, personal feuds, "plinking", etc.

So
Jess team are likely to be first fragged!!

No, Jess is.
She's in the corridor engaging the mob, they'll likely concentrate on the threat they can see.
She did call Charlie and give him the heads-up, so they won't be flat-footed. Second call warned the troops about grenades. Her squad get to avenge/rescue her. ( I know which I prefer ).

There's been entirely too much "watching Jess" lately. She's got her CES on this time, and a sensible bra, so keep yer eyes on the enemy.
She's not the one engaging in PDAs and running around nearly naked in a combat situation.

In the Hanger, behind the repair bench, are the two ovals high-pressure cylinders?

I don't think there is any *nearly* about it. That's one way for Jakob to distract the enemy.

I can live with that. Can I get a couple of sentences in during this time, i.e. telling LIv that's there's ammo in his room and reporting the location of the group he hit over comms?

Intimidating the enemy; don't bring a handgun to an artillery duel...
