Remington sighs into his helmet. He had so hoped to be able to avoid the part of his job where he remembers that he's enabling a bunch of space kidnappers and slavers. But he supposed Handson had a point. Given a choice between Eno or anyone else on the ship, Remington figured he'd respond best to Eno if he were a fresh capture.

"I suppose you have a point. I also suppose I could be contributing something up there instead of cooling my heels here. As it turns out, research assistants and high energy jumpspace emulator devices are a poor mix at times. Sometimes I had to make sure they didn't bleed on the machines. Only the Lords know what that might have done. Gris can keep an eye on the patch and make sure it doesn't start leaking while we go play doctor. Let's re-pressurize this place."

Once there's an atmosphere in the engineering spaces again, Remington follows Handson's lead to the triage station. Any odd looks thrown at Remington for showing up, apparently with intent to triage, are met with a shrug that seems to say "Hey, I'm not sure why I'm here either." It's not clear Remington is answering the same question that the looks are silently asking.

Raven

Raven lets the woman run and hurries through the warehouse letting her new "helpers" guide her to the "off world" warehouse. She relates her location and progress to Ingunn so the APC tracks along in her wake.

Kar scrubs up ready to treat any of Ravens' war party or crew, the first triage, leaving Eno with the cargo. Nodding to Handson as he arrives, a slight cocked eyebrow greets the Drive Shaman Good man, Remmington. Help Handson bring in the injured. Crew to me, cargo to Eno. You will then be assisting me.
Checking the med kit, Kar waits.

Watching the fleeing fugitive Leon shouts encouragement for Roberta to catch her. Looking at the rest of the captives and noticing slight hope Leon shouts the following address. Toe the line shit heads or the next person who tries to escape will be caught and executed by being thrown out of the air-lock and if we can't catch you someone else will take your place

To herd them on Leon will start laying about with his stun stick.

Round 11 Part 1

Directed by the guides Raven descends the ramp and crosses the warehouse as the fleeing woman disappears north along the docks. Þórir escorts the presumed officer-type behind her, keeping a close eye on him. The goods stored here are apparently foodstuffs, from her brief inspection. Stepping out onto the dock she sees the woman sprinting west around the corner of the next building (X), toward which the prisoners guide her. Reaching the warehouse she finds main doors closed and a small access door open. The sailor leads her inside where she sees the big doors have merely been pulled closed. There is a partially loaded cargo trolley just inside and a relatively sparse collection of large objects in the dim interior.

We load for voyage the sailor tells her.

At the Serpent Gulbrandr and Hróarr add their prisoners to those already in the hold and make their way up to the Mead Hall, passing Eno on the way. Hróarr stops and says Where are you going? I only let them hit me so you could treat the wound. Well, I'll come with you and you can look at my thigh before you deal with the livestock, they're in good shape. Gulbrandr smacks his helmet and tells him Let the woman do what she's been told to and do what Raid Leader ordered. Come on. Leading him into the elevator he adds Doubt you've got enough blood left in you to do anything with it anyway.

Kar's team have their first customers as Hróarr limps into the Mead Hall, trailing blood, beside Gulbrandr, who has blood flowing from beneath his Torso Protector front and back.

Raven lets her disappointment in the poorly stocked warehouse be known. She rounds on the volunteers and, drawing her sawn off, rages "An empty warehouse! A fair trade for two barrels of empty freedom!" She thumbs back the hammers and says "Quickly, what's in these crates and where's the rest of it?" Keeping her attention on her new "helpers" she points blindly at where Þórir has the officer secured "Be quiet - excuse for a leader! You didn't fight me when you had the chance!"

The sailor doesn't know most of the words Raven uses, but he understands the meaning: Is valuable! Star People bought it!

The man who first offered to help, with better language skills, joins in. He is, as before, eager to help: Great Lady, these are the big things, ready to send on the ship to the Star Port. Very valuable, very artistic. They will make your palace admirable. Zinat Darzi, she keeps the small things in her store. Trinkets, for locals. Broken things and pretty stones, nothing worthy of one such as you.

Round 11 Part 2

Áshildr tries to get another shot at the fleeing woman as she darts between one part of the landing gear and another heading west for the rocks. Her timing is off and the Tranq round shatters on the second strut as the woman runs past it. The drug in the first shot must not have taken effect because she is not slowing down and another dash takes her to the boulders as Áshildr strides forward to take another shot.

þefa keeps his hold on the man's neck, neither increasing pressure or letting him go despite his struggles. He is waiting for a command.

Leon finds the remaining prisoners compliant, filing into the hold under his blows without looking at the woman Roberta is chasing. Steinn and Stáli arrive with their captives, the last of them, and head into the hold. Both are wounded, Steinn more seriously than Stáli, but they look pleased with themselves as they pass him.

The woman who dodged Leon keeps running south, heading for the sea, as Roberta rolls to her feet and sprints after her. Roberta is faster and more fit than her quarry, despite the woman's desperation, and gets close enough to make another lunge. She just makes contact, but fails to get a grip, merely adding impetus to the woman's dive into the water. Regaining her feet Roberta sees the woman swimming out to sea.

In the north Rúna runs through the house, kicking in doors, until she finds the room facing the street heading south. As she bursts in she sees a middle aged man lying on the floor trying to staunch a wound in his side, a rifle and sword on the floor beside him. He boggles at her in terror and starts to babble in his own language. Rúna thinks he is begging to live, and is relieved and disgusted by it. She quickly crosses the room, kicks the rifle away, retrieves her sword and stands over her prey, deciding what to do next.

Raven nods "Raven Sorrow gave her word. You can tell your people it is worth something. Go!" she uncocks her sawn off and releases the "volunteers".

She calls the warband to the warehouse and sets them to securing it for looting. She plans also to pack the hold with foodstuffs from the western warehouse.

She cherrfully comms Kar "Kapiten, it is time to fill the hold! I have sent back my wounded and I have secured some art. Offworlders pay good money for it - men who had everything to loose swore to its value. Even better, it sounds like the sort of thing that the Jarl's wife will like. We also have a warehouse full of food to pack the hold. I can push on but I think my pups have done enough to please the Jarl".

She adds "We should load our goods and then open a channel to the fleet. There are old and timid raiders happy to feed off another's leavings. This town's defences are defeated and its militia on the run. Some boats will be more than happy to pillage what we have already conquered and will offer us favour or pay tithes for the opportunity. Áshildr is a strong negotiator and knows most of them".

Round 11 supplemental

Sigmundr leads Yngvildr and Dagný to the warehouse as the two released prisoners leave it, yelling Raven Thank you Great Lady, thank you. He posts them to the north corner of the building, Dagný covering the road west and Yngvildr the dockside road to the north.

Ingunn brings the Doomsayer along behind them and turns it seaward, Bjartr standing in the open door at the rear as it orientates to face the warehouse doors.

Sigmundr enters the warehouse and presents himself to Raven: Raid Leader, the area is secure and the Doomsayer waits. Your orders?

Ragnheiðr jogs north along the line of buildings looking for signs of the fugitives, seeing none. Reaching the crossroads she turns west and then north along the next alleyway, hoping her quarry will be heading that way.

Erlingr catches up to the others and takes position covering the southern approaches to the warehouse Raven has occupied.

Þórir has slung his Grenade Launcher and drawn his Stunstick, with which he stands guarding the “Officer”. As the released men depart the prisoner snarls at them: Kha'en ha, mmkenh zndguy keny wly nmytwny bry khwnh.* Þórir pokes him in the ribs with the inactive prod to remind him of his position.

Raven replies to Sigmundr "Now you learn the real art of raiding - how much fragile loot can you cram into the back of an APC that you are now using as a delivery wagon? Get whatever's in this warehouse loaded onto the Serpent. Remember it is fragile but pre packed for space transit. Post a good lookout but keep to the work. Þórir and I are your combat reserve. I'll counterattack hard at any probe if the locals get brave - and they might. Once we've loaded this we'll go back through the first warehouse and check those nearby. We then pack the Serpent for volume - the Jarl likes a raider so full that the crew can't move about!"

She hails Ingunn "Now it's shuttle runs back to the Serpent - vary your route and don't let your gunners get slack and drop their guard".

Remembering her errant warrior she sends "Rúna get back to the Serpent or you are walking home!"

Then to Kar she sends an additional "Kapiten, we're emptying warehouses and the town is as secure as it will get. The longer we wait the more likely the shock of our raid will wear off. If the sheep are secure and any of the crew can help at the warehouses or in filling the Serpent's hold now's the time".

Sigmundr orders Yngvildr to keep her post on watch and details Dagný and Erlingr to looting detail. Bjartr and Hrafn dismount to help load, talking to each other about their experiences of the raid as they work.

The trolley is partly loaded with a .5dT and a 1dT cargo module, with room for another 1.5dT. The flatbed platform has four wheels and is designed for transporting loads between warehouse and ship.

There are 5 more 1dT, 8x .5dT and 2x 2dT modules ready to be loaded. The labels are in "Imperial" standard Galanglic.

Other, uncrated, objects are covered with tarpaulins.

The Doomsayer can cram in one 1dT module in it's cargo space and and 1.5dT of .5dt modules in the troop compartment.

Raven encourages the use of both the APC and the flatbead platform in transferring goods to the Serpent's hold. Her goal is to empty the warehouse. She looks under the tarpaulins and reads the Imperial labels to dsicover more about the goods.

Under the tarps there are large sculptures of unfamiliar alien creatures. They have the encrustations of years under the sea, making it hard to determine the details.

A quick scan of labels reveals the modules on the trolley and ready to load are addressed to a GeDeCo Downport courier for onward transport to Drinax.

Erlingr suggests towing the trolley, but Ingunn nixes that, pointing out the trolley is not built for speed and she can carry things faster without it. Better to fill the Doomsayer with small stuff and load the big things on the trolley while she ferries over to the hold. Grumbling a bit the temporary stevedores comply, thinking about the effort of hauling a trolley load of cargo to the ship.

Edited text, replacing the word "mythical".

Rúna looks down at the bleeding man, deciding what to do. Not being shot out of hand has kindled hope in the pathetic figure and he pulls himself up to sit against a couch, his left hand pressed to the wound in his side as he pleads Rhem dashetn! Letfaan! men dekhetr darem.*

When Raven's command sounds on her comm she makes her decision. Raid Leader, I have prisoners and an open house, but I come.

Slinging the ACC she snatches up her sword and kicks the man's legs. Up! Move!

She pulls on his shirt and he struggles to his feet. Rúna picks up his automatic rifle left handed, slings that too, and drives him out at swordpoint. On the way out to the street she pockets a couple of small items that catch her eye.

Áshildr tracks the fleeing woman with her pistol. She is conflicted, knowing her duty but respecting the effort. Seeing her shot she takes it. The dart misses by inches as the fugitive leaps over a rock. Piqued Áshildr orders þefa Drop him. As the dog gives her his attention she points at the woman and orders Fetch!

Sniffer releases the man, who hits the ground hard. Seeing Áshildr point he realises what is happening and tries to tackle the dog again, but fails to get a grip.

Þefa hurtles after the woman, leaping after her as she scrambles for the boulders. His jaws close on her shoulder, but his teeth only scrape her flesh and fasten on her clothes. She whimpers and scrabbles to escape. As she climbs out of his reach her jacket tears, she wriggles out of it and the dog is left with at the foot of the rock shaking an empty garment.

A summary of the injuries to be treated by Kar, Remington and Handson. Arranged in increasing severity:

Stáli has been hit in the abdomen by a high velocity bullet for 4 points of damage. It is not a serious wound. ( He is on End 7 )

Gulbrandr also has a high-velocity bullet through the abdomen from behind, for 6 damage.. His wound has been worsened, by fighting without treatment, for 1 point. While nothing vital has been hit attention is needed. ( He is on End 2 )

Hroarr has been shot through the right thigh for 7 damage. Running on it has caused another point, and bloodloss is becoming an issue. The wound is not serious, but it needs attention. ( He is on End 2 )

Steinn has been hit with a 7.62mm in the lower left chest. It went right through, breaking a rib on the way, for 10 points. Continued action has caused another 1 point of damage. The wound is quite serious and needs treatment. ( He is on End 0 and Str 7 [ down three ])

Þórir, Manfred and Rúna are also wounded, but not present on the ship.

Ragnheiðr jogs into the courtyard, looking for signs of fugitives. All the doors appear sealed, so she runs around the alleys back to the road.

Hearing Raven's exchange with Rúna she curses her luck and moves back toward the warehouses.

Rúna and her prisoner, both trailing blood, leave the house and go to the unconscious rifleman in the street. She scoops up that rifle to add to her load and directs her captive to drag his compatriot.

Ingunn takes her first load to the ship where Leon selects some of the new slaves to help unload.

Roberta gives up on the woman swimming out to sea and returns to overseeing the captives already secured. There are more than the Low Berths can hold, one escape doesn't matter much.

Áshildr comes to the same conclusion regarding the woman scrambling up the rocks. The hold is likely full and the spirit in that one is going to be too much trouble to be worth the effort.

Kor quickly assesses the injured crew and gives priority to Steinn, leaving Handson to start work on the others.

Remmington assist me with Steinn

Talking lightly to his patient whilst working on the wound and the broken rib.

Just a scratch Steinn, will have you up and running in no time

Having a bit of trouble with the dice roller, if you could roll for medic thanks
