Andronichishche looks up from studying the script written upon the wall, curious as to the suddenly heated discussion. "Split the party? I agree, Mr. Alordan, but the south tunnel ends but a short distance away, and should be just outside torch range. Actually, it would also be helpful to check the east tunnel with a mirror ... ensure Mr. Brutus is not preparing another trap for our return."

Cresty
As the others leave to investigate the southern passage the paladin stays behind to keep an eye on the room with the pool, still not convinced that it is monster free.

Tlachtga and Cu continue searching around through the many types of mushrooms and fungi in the large chamber. The druid is quite familiar with growing and harvesting plants, so she easily notices something odd about this underground garden. It appears to once have been just that, a garden of some kind. Though the entire room is now cluttered and overgrown, she can spot the evidence of some very neat rows of certain types of edible fungus and tubers. These areas seem to be spread out throughout the room in different little plots of varying species. She concludes that this used to be a tidy and neat little food producing garden at one time, complete with its own underground irrigation system, but it's upkeep has clearly been abandoned for many, many years.
Saracen finds nothing with his magical vision that looks anything like a man made trap. No other doors or compartments are found along any of the walls, hidden or otherwise. Andron runs his hand across the rough natural stone of the mushroom chamber, finding it similar to the rest of the natural areas of this complex. He continues to search the walls for more writing, but the same feint words continue to appear over and over. Love, Forget, You, Never, My, I, and Will.
Alordan strongly encourages the others to stay together, but his concerns go unheralded. Moving back to the blocked off passageway to the west, the group there finds the stone to be thick and impenetrable. It extends tightly from wall to wall and from floor to ceiling, appearing to be quite solid everywhere they tap on its surface. Checking over the area at the most recent blockage again, the stone there looks hastily created and rather thin in places. There are several gaps between the walls and it doesn't quite reach all the way to the top of the tunnels ceiling.

Tlachtga
"This was a planted food plot, not naturally occurring. Even has a neat irrigation system. Hasn't been maintained in some time so I don't think Brutus eats any of it. We could if we needed to though."

Maag
Maag turns back to Lerrick and Gramble. "Well, dis one is solid too. I don't fink we 'ave any chance of breakin' through it either". He winks.
"I fink we should go back an' tell der others dat we are stuck 'ere. See if dey 'ave any better news."

If I'm not mistaken the rock node blocking the secret door is incomplete and thin?
Andronichishche gazes at the unkempt fungal farm with fascination. "Indeed, Miss Tlachtga? That's rather interesting based upon what I could discern from the writing. Only the words Love, Forget, You, Never, My, I, and Will are legible, but I would wager gold that it's a lover's message to never forget. Could Brutus and the Medusa have lived here? I can certainly understand the rage, especially if he has lived here alone for a long time. Definitely wouldn't be so kind to his sanity either, I'm sure. Is this what he wanted us to see? I can understand the desire to protect it, but what is his intention for us?"

Saracen snorts. Well a guy’s gotta eat! He grins that grim toothed grimace and nudges the scholar in the ribs
Where is the water coming from? Perhaps there is a passage that leads outside?

Andronichishche stifles a grimace as the immensely strong half-orc priest nudges Andron in the ribs, apparently either unaware of his own strength or the limits of the half-elf's limited constitution. He manages to eke out a weak smile in response and immediately after Saracen turns away doubles over struggling to regain the breath knocked out of him. A few moments later when he regains his composure he provides an actual vocal response. "That raises an interesting question, though. What does Brutus eat? Only mushrooms?"

Tlachtga
"I don't think you were paying attention, the only one eating the mushrooms is Cu. They haven't been touched otherwise in quite some time."

Lerrick
Perhaps you should give the newly form wall a couple whacks with Cora's mace. The cleric hands the mace to Gramble for inspection and then possible wall destruction. She then steps back a few paces.

Andronichishche raises an eyebrow at Tlachtga. "Indeed? My apology, I must have missed that part while studying the writing. That still leaves open the question of what Brutus eats. We know he likes jerky ... and really doesn't like dried fruit and nuts. Maybe the minotaur?" He shudders a bit at the mere thought.

Andronichishche accompanies Gramble but stays well back from the demolition zone as he's not wearing a helmet. Before they proceed though, he does offer a bit more advice given the recent events.
"Please allow Brother Saracen to scan the area for traps first, Mr. Gramble. From Brutus's behaviour I think it's quite unlikely Mr. Maag and I scared him away from completing his work ..."

I've had that distinct feeling the whole time, just can't seem to figure out where the last domino drops!
