Are there any windows we can use to spot where that laser is pointing?
If not there are the garage bay airlocks, beside the main doors.

Re: OOC and MIA
Whoever is crewing the abandoned tanks is indeed showing a "surprising familiarity" with the kit and are performing really quite sophisticated "wheezes" to make it all work given the circumstances.BackworldTraveller wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 8:02 amMind you, I'm surprised they have managed to get the thing to fire at all (let alone with the right ammo) without killing themselves if they are locals. Oh - Maybe they aren't!

Your "windows" are likely "screens" projecting the view from outside but the air locks, bay doors. launch doors will give direct LOS to the tank. Therefore anyone who wants to view it direct can!

Freya can see the laser beam with her PRIS binos. Everyone else would probably just reference where the barrel is pointing!

Re: OOC and MIA
So, I'm guessing this is just the DS ammo the tanks had, not a further threat we don't know about?Tiglath wrote:The first tank roars up the ramp its arrival announced by the command pennants proudly flying from its multiple antennae. The #3 tank checks its aim with a burst of tracer and just as the last auto cannon rounds deflect off the command tank’s bow plate a hyper velocity armour piercing sabot penetrates it.
Re: OOC and MIA
Yes. I think I've perhaps confusingly used the two interchangeably but Kinetic Energy Armour Piercing and Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot (same round as in the ACR just 120mm not 9mm!) are the same thing in effect.
The "insurgents" have obviously had some clever coaching / expert help here.
Using a surveying laser to "boresight" one tank: where the big laser pointer goes is where the shell will hit the building and the vehicle's own coax weapon to check their aim on a fixed point (ramp).
However, it cost them. Whoever was in the tank Jess hit didn't get out!

I think we've got two TL-12 PGMPs, I'm not sure we've got anyone else but Nuts that can use them.

Re: OOC and MIA
Along with everything else, we need to get control of those tanks. I thought that all the operational vehicles had been brought back to the Mansion. I had no clue that the Guard just left them parked with the keys inside. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.Tiglath wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 9:36 pm Yes. From what that Sargent said I think they were meant to disable them when they abandoned them but didn't

To be fair they had just experienced what The Chieftain terms a "significant emotional event".From what that Sargent said I think they were meant to disable them when they abandoned them but didn't
Re: OOC and MIA
Yeeees!
The Guard tankers had indeed suffered a very rude shock and had a lot of wounded. However, to their credit they did manage (as per SOP) to get the sights off the main armament but did leave some SMG bail out weapons behind (which Beau actually recovered for them almost immediately).
The nature of the attack had left them with one tank destroyed and three vehicles disabled with suspension/transmission hits ... because that's where the charges were placed.
It almost all seems deliberate...

And we killed how many this time?
Does a recovery of one repairable tank still need to occur?

Re: OOC and MIA
You'll be aware that Pgmp 12s have enough "poke" to KO G Carriers but not MBTs.
Being automatically spotted when firing, they'll not run out of shots before the conclusion of the engagement - which must be a comfort...

However, being "smarter than the average bear" you guys would know you can take aim at "vital bits" to disable but not KO things you can't penetrate.
Re: OOC and MIA
I entirely agree with your maths on this but ... IC update shortly!BackworldTraveller wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 6:46 pm And we killed how many this time?

Re: OOC and MIA
True about being spotted, but they know we are on the roof anyway and we need something meaty to replace the PD system.Tiglath wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 6:48 pmYou'll be aware that Pgmp 12s have enough "poke" to KO G Carriers but not MBTs.

Re: OOC and MIA
We have a second vehicle, the ambulance, right? That would be the rescue op vehicle.

Re: OOC and MIA
Ambulance is favourite for rescue ops, aye.
We also have the ex-pirate G-Carrier. Was it Styx or Lethe we fixed First?
Haven't named the Ambulance, have we? Or the 'bus.
I suggest Durham Red for the Blood Waggon

I need a re-cap on What is Called Who!
I remember her!
She kept trying to eat/drink(?) Ronald Reagan while Johnny Alpha had him in tow!
Watch out the ambulance is really "thin" in the armour department!
And somebody broke the First Aid HMG!
