Once Junius gets a few folks to back him up, including Sacro, he will attempt the door. He will wait if Horatio wants to check for traps.

"Want? Naw, I don't want to check for traps," says Horatio. "What I want is to be sitting on a beach somewhere with a fruity drink in one hand and a willing woman in the other, counting my massive pile of gold and gems. But, yeah, I'll check the door for traps."

Vernon snickers at the immature joke. Good luck.
AdaRue keeps a wary eye on Rothal, mentioning as much to Canun when the opportunity presents itself. Who knows what magics the goblins might have used on him? Or maybe it's just the Hellsinki Syndrome, and he's working for his captors. I just don't like that he destroyed the skeleton before we had a chance to get any answers. And he's been looking over his shoulder, like he wants to get away from us. Maybe to warn the goblins... Keep your mace handy in case he makes a break for it.

Stone and Steel Door Horatio "volunteers" to inspect the door at the end of this new 40-foot passage for traps. As he approaches, the thief notices that this door, unlike all the previous doors discovered here in the goblin halls, is made of stone and steel, not wood, and appears to be quite solid. A closer inspection of the door reveals that there is not even a lock on the door, only a foot-long iron lever, which Horatio suspects will need to be pulled down in order to release the door and allow it to be opened.
The thief returns to his place in the party's order.
Junius quietly converses with the group and will attempt to open the door as Horatio described.
Sacro stands near with his casting hand free.

Horatio stands back about 50' when Junius opens the door.
"Who was joking?" he tells Vernon. "You think I do this 'cause it's fun?"

Door Released
Once everyone is ready, and Horatio drops back further in the order, Junius grips the iron lever and pulls down firmly, per the thief's instructions.
A loud creaking sound is heard and, while it does not open, the door drops ever so slightly in its position -- apparently released, or unlocked:

An instant later....
Canun, at the rear of the group, and watching over the side passage that led to their current location, suddenly hears a loud growling noise coming from further in, beyond the range of his illumination. Frantic goblin calls are heard, along with increased growling, before a single word command, in goblin, is heard: "Akhan!"
Translation:
"Attack!"
Muffled goblin voices and movement can be heard retreating, but a set of very rapidly approaching claws is heard scraping the cobblestone floor, heading directly in the party's direction!
Canun prepares his Light spell. He will hold until he can cast it at the eyes of the clawed thing that is about to attack the party.

Sacro will attempt to move to the corner where he can be closer to the front with the brave Canun.

AdaRue peeks around the corner and lobs the pouch of smelly/sticky stuff on to the middle of the tunnel, just beyond Canun's current position. She hopes that whatever it is that is coming, gets stuck in it.

Horatio finds himself at the wrong end of the party when the back becomes the front. He tries to find a spot to hide in the shadows around the corner from the approaching scratching sounds.

Keebler readies his bow.

Round 1
While the creaking noise caused by releasing the door may have drawn attention to the group and its location, the goblin discourse and ferocious growling outside also alerted the party to the possible interruption.
There is barely any time for the group members to reposition themselves, but some shifting is allowed. Horatio, Rainey, and Rothal all back away while AdaRue and Sacro advance and provide Canun some much needed support.
The instant the threat -- in the form of a significantly large wolf of mixed black and white matted fur -- comes into view, Canun quickly throws a 'Light' spell at the eyes of the vicious beast which causes it to rear backwards on its hind legs and issue a pained howl. AdaRue takes the opportunity to toss the sticky glue bomb in a pouch at the blinded attacker.

Rusty Tincanne, please make a ranged attack roll with a -1 penalty (>30' = long range). The result of this glue bomb and the wolf's action (if able) to be determined.
I had something more like this in mind for an "around the corner" hiding spot for Horatio:

Round 1 (CONT'D) AdaRue hurls a glue bomb at the blinded wolf and, while not a direct hit, the pouch does open upon impact, spreading the sticky substance across the corridor. The beast, still reeling from the unexpected blindness, is now also struggling with mobility as it finds itself stuck in place!

Keebler sneaks up behind Sacro and lets loose an arrow in haste, which nearly misses Canun en route to a collision course with the right wall, where it finds itself stuck a few feet off the ground compliments of AdaRue's glue bomb.
---
Okay, the wolf is stuck and blind. There are no bonuses to hit it, but it will suffer a -4 on all attack rolls if/when it's able to free itself.
Vernon continues to show lackluster performance with his bow, with an arrow clanking off the ceiling. Ruddy tunnels. Just can't get used to the tight quarters.
AdaRue moves out of the way of all the archers, but is prepared to engage in melee should it come to that. Junius, can you hear anything through the door?
