That would free him up some considerably. Clothing too (5).
It would make sense that it would, wouldn't it? However, I've been thinking about it. My goal when it comes to encumbrance has been to simplify it, not make it more complicated. I'm thinking I'm going to keep item weight/encumbrance the same for all races, regardless of size.

For instance, a suit of halfling-sized plate mail will obviously not weigh as much has a suit of human-sized plate mail, but since encumbrance is measurement of weight and bulkiness, I will rule that a suit of plate mail on a halfling will be bulky enough that it will have the same affect as a human wearing the same type of armor even if it weighs considerably less.

I hope that makes sense. It does in my head.

I'll be darned... well, sorry for putting everyone through that exercise.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Ok, Shannigans begins with Garth. Am I free to create a post on how that possibly came about? Or do you have something in mind? In other words, can we start yet? 8-)

I am currently working on background stories (e.g. Shannigans and Garth know each other, and this is how...) and group introductions (e.g. the two of you find yourself...) which should be posted later tonight.

Once they are... have at it!

Dave what's my bonus on xp? Had a dig about and can't find it. Can you add bonus breakdown to the xp section of your rules?
Thanks

I would assume it is 60%, Saalaria.

50% for being human
10% for Primary Attribute (WIS) over 16.

He did say it wasn't compounded (i.e. 1.1 base xp, then multiply that by 1.5), so I would also assume just multiply by 1.6...

This.

The above is exactly is how I intended on handing multiple bonuses. I'll blame it on the nasty head cold I'm dealing with, but I couldn't figure out exactly how to accomplish what I wanted yesterday so I stacked the bonuses, much like Ethan proposed:
Alethan wrote:I would assume it is 60%, Saalaria.

So saalaria, the experience points I posed for you yesterday are slightly off and I will edit to adjust.

---

I have also updated the text on human characters in the '02. Races' thread to reflect this clarification (copied below):
02. Races wrote:3. Experience Points: All human characters earn experience-and-a-half for all experience points awarded (e.g. (xp * 1.5)). Any experience point bonuses due to high ability scores are not subject to this multiplier. If a human character has a class that is also set to receive a bonus due to having high ability scores, the multiplier for that class increases from 1.5 to 1.6 (thank you, onlyme).

Well... I'm without books (and "with" crappy Internet, to boot). What are the stats necessary for bonus xp for a ranger? Or... I can just look it up when I'm back at a reliable Internet source.

Sorry, the only bonus Gwillt will have is the 1.5 multiplier for being human.

It does. (115xp * 1.6) = 184

Thanks. I thought as much. I remembered thinking I was going to miss the 10% bonus because I went minimum on the Int and Wis, but thought I'd check, just to make sure.
