Thanks Marullus. I thought I posted already. I guess it didn't go through. I'm really sorry I've been posting so slowly.
Swelan: Please make an Ob 1 Survivalist check to set up the campsite.

Seeing the undead knight struggle due to his Scarred hands, Magda moves in to help. The small space is soon comfortable and defensible.
3D (Survivalist) + 1D (Magda hunter) - 1D (Scarred)
Ob1 vs 3D [1d6] = 4[1d6] = 2[1d6] = 2
check earned for Scarred trait. Start camp phase.

Cool.
Peitharian and Swelan both trigger instincts entering camp. I will wait to spend a check until you are done.

Sir Swelan sits at a barrel and pulls out a quill, ink and parchment. He begins to draw a map of what they have seen/where they have been. He asks others for input.
Swelan has 3 checks and I don't know that I have much to do with them. Maybe try to gain a second laborer test somehow?
Can you use help on an instinct? I cannot remember and don't have the rules handy.

People can only help on your instinct if they trigger a related instinct. The cartographer test is free but he's on his own.
You can distribute the checks if you like, but it is also good to save them. You can spend them outside of Camp to get a skill test for a helping die.

Unless I remember wrong, all checks are lost at the end of the camp phase.
Swelan: Please make an Ob 2 Cartographer test to draw the map.
I think that's the right Obstacle.
Also, I guess I shouldn't have been giving you a map yet :/

[1d6] = 4[1d6] = 2
Swelan sits down with the quill and parchment and draws as best he can. At the end, he isn't quite sure it looks right.
I don't think I could use a trait to gain a check, otherwise I would have with those odds. Maybe we can use a check to correct it with all the scholarly folk?
As for the map, they are more conceptual in TB. The graphic helps the players know what the area looks like. The PCs won't remember it when it comes time to pass their way back out though. So the images you've posted are fine. Steven Ross did the same.

...Whut?? Oh crap, there it is, page 61. All checks being expended is what marks the end of camp phase.
So, we have five checks between us? Isabelle is built for camp, she can always spend checks. She just needs to alternate. So, our priorities:
We're all drinking beer to get full (no check)
Peitharian makes poultices (instinct, no check)
Isabelle makes an Elixir for Exhausted recovery (1st check)
Swelan energizes past exhausted with the elixir (no check)
Peitharian takes a nap (exhausted recovery, 2nd check. When did he get this condition?)
Isabelle makes explosives to barter with Kobolds (3rd check)
Someone else can do an action with #4 and/or #5. If not, then someone can get a pass/fail test for helping on the earlier tests. (Isabelle would happily take a Healer help test aiding Peitharian's recovery roll, for example.)

I believe the exhausted condition was for helping Swelan, but it was in error because he had relieved his hungry condition prior to assisting Swelan. So let's make check 2 be Peith fix the map to gain a cartography test.

Swelan's Exhausted condition was an error on my part. I forgot he and Magda had relieved Hungry and Thirsty, so the next condition for the grind would be Exhausted. He shouldn't be Exhausted.
Also, I finally fixed this. I guess the forum doesn't like it when I type the codes.
Double Edit: I was totally wrong. Ignore this post.

If Peitharian redoes the Cartographer test with a check, then Swelan can also spend a check so that he can record a test for helping with it. We will then (hopefully) have a pass and a fail and only needs one more pass to get to Cartographer 3. That supposed that "you don't have a map" is the consequence that the GM picks. He could give you a map and a different problem.

True. But Peitharian is such a boor and doesn't seem to think much of anyone non-conventional (or non-Singing for that matter) that he would be likely to proofread the map anyways.

I need to look back at things before I start posting. Swelan gained the Exhausted condition when he failed the test to move the debris out of the doorway to the room you're in. Peitharian and Magda were the ones who got Hungry and Thirsty, and then I screwed up with them when the grind came around.
Also, since I am new, please do say so if something I do is too harsh. I'm trying to find a good medium between too hard and too easy.
Swelan: You manage a decent map of the current area. However, being surrounded by the scent of beer makes your mouth feel dry. You gain the Hungry and Thirsty condition.

I definitely see where the players deck would be handy for this game!
That is still logged as a failed test, right? Other options could easily have been:
Spilled ink ruins something in his pack
Seemingly decent map that gets us lost later
Barrel he was working at was infested with some critter
GMing TB could be a lot of fun for a sadist!

Yeah. You failed, so I gave you what you wanted, but you also got a condition.

Okay, so the GM needs to do the Camp Events check (p. 82), Peitharian makes poultices by instinct, we all drink beer, then I'll spend the first check.

Sorry! I forgot about that, even though you spent a turn because of it.
Speaking of that, the turn counter should have advanced, so you were on turn 6 before you started camp.
Camp Event Roll: (Unsafe Underground Dungeon)
Camp Event: [2d6+1] = 9+1 = 10
Safe Camp! Continue with your camp activities.

Peitharian, affecting nonchalance, is actually relieved to be at something familiar to him rather than be reminded of this dark, dangerous place they find themselves in. The reassuring feel of parchment and quill in hand, he peruses the map, checking his memory, back and forth as he carefully corrects the map.
[1d6] = 1[1d6] = 1
