I still am not sure what soldier is nearest to Kurt and Hans but they will keep attacking the closest one...

I think more relevant than distance is that one soldier is barely on his feet, while the other is using Horton as a shield.

yeah and we were trying to get some aid for the injured but to do so we had to join a toy soldier military then become turncoats.... it's a whole thing if the dumb soldier would have just stepped aside we wouldn't have had to become traitors to the toy soldier army...

OK- some creepy shit going on with this giant nutcracker. I'm just spitballing this, but what if the piles of abandoned stuff came from the Wooden Soldier's camp? Like, maybe they were originally flesh, and then abandoned this stuff when they got transformed.
