Krual Caine, half-human monster:
"HA! COME BACK HERE, MY SWEET LITTLE TART. WHERE IS YOUR CHEEKY, CUNNING BRAVADO NOW?!" the unspeakable monstrosity cooed in a mockery of pillow talk and then laughed coarsely as he hacked ruthlessly at the retreating pornomancer. If Orando disappeared before Caine could kill her, then he would attack another enemy, the one that most threatens the demoness.
Sacred Sword: To Hit: [1d20+5] = 16+5 = 21, Damage: S/M:[1d10+6] = 7+6 = 13, L: [3d6+6] = 10+6 = 16
Yow. Sorry.

From Bad to Worse
Round 6
The mysterious woman seems enraged that one of the party members has gotten away, no matter how insignificant she may think he is. She screams at Father Dowling as he is casting his spell. Go and get that damn fool and bring him back in here to me! If you can’t return him, then at least detain him until I get there. Go! Now!
Determining that the rest of the party is still well under control, she turns her attention back to the burly and bleeding Epi. The ranger can’t tell if the demon is impressed or simply stupefied by her words of challenge and threat. Regardless, the demoness is clearly not used to being talked to in that fashion. She swings out again with both of her claws, almost as if she is playing with a pet. Her emotions still seem to be getting the best of her attacks as she only connects with one of her wicked claws. 2 dam
Orando and Angella remain up on the raised section of floor near the desk. It doesn’t take them long to begin to realize the magnitude of their rather untimely situation. The mage Orando attempts to dive under the desk at the same time as the charmed but not charming Krual Caine swings his massive sword down upon the elf. The huge blade digs deeply into the soft flesh of the effeminate elf, sending his body sprawling unconscious across the upper floor. Seeing this, the monster Caine grins evilly and readies his blade for its next victim......
Angella finally decides that it might be best to run away from this unfair fight, especially since she seems to be the only one other than Epi who is actually still trying to fight the bad guys. The guard thrusts his spear into her side as she tries to punch at him again. This time the spears tip finds flesh. 2 dam Captain Taneel lets a smug smirk cross his face as he sees the monk injured yet again. His swing flies wide, missing her completely, but he does not stop pressing ahead for the kill. As the monk tries to flee the melee, she is once again hit by the sheriff’s blade. 4 dam She evades the spearman this time though as she drops to the floor in an acrobatic reverse summersault, putting the slightest amount of distance between her and the encroaching pair still trying to kill her. She is able to get around to the back of the room, but then notices that the brute Krual Caine is standing right there as well. She then sees the pretty elf Orando, lying splayed and spread eagle, face down on the floor. The two men continue their advance.

Krual Caine, half-human monster:
The ghastly, amoral cannibal considered raping the fallen Orando to death while still possessed of gigantic proportions. Instead he ferociously barked,
"LITTLE BASTARDS! SNIVELING COWARDS! CRAVEN WORMS!" at the fleeing heroes.
Then he suddenly turned on Taneel.
The bloodlust overtaking him, Caine raised his dripping sword and crimson trickled down his arm. There was a gleam of steel and blood as he unexpectedly tried to cleave asunder Captain Taneel with a murderous, unchivalric slash to his back.
Sacred Sword: To Hit: [1d20+5] = 2+5 = 7, Damage: S/M:[1d10+6] = 7+6 = 13, L: [3d6+6] = 11+6 = 17
"YOU LITTLE SHITE. YOU NEEDN'T THINK I'VE FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU."

Epi
Great now I've gone deaf. Epi does not have time to consider the fate of the rest of the group, though she knows it would seem to be down to her. She manages to drive her enchanted blade past the demon's defenses as a wicked smile appears on her face, though she seems not to have hit anything vital.

Attack:
[1d20+3] = 19+3 = 22 [Yeah!]
Damage:

Gettin While the Gettin is Good
Round 7
The party continues to dwindle as some members are knocked out of the fight and others simply run away from it. With only a bad ending to her skirmish on her mind, the monk bolts through the back door and disappears into the manor again. The guard still trying to kill her rushes after her, but stops abruptly when he reaches the threshold of the doorway. Instead of continuing his pursuit, he looks back and stares at the succubus with a confused look on his face. The now silent Dowling rushes out the front doors after Ozwaldus.
Caine isn't so cruel when it comes to killing the bad guys. He attacks the sheriff in a mad fury of rage, but this attempt proves ineffective. The succubus screams at the two men to follow the monk and then summons Krual Caine back to her side.
After her! Don't let another one escape! The guard and Captain Taneel race into the manor, trying to catch up with the speedy monk.
You! Big fella! Come back down here and help me with this pesky one!
Just as the woman points to Epi, the huge ranger slashes out with her highly magical sword. This time the blow makes a deep cut into the already stabbed nether creature. The evil wench takes a step backwards, looking shocked that she was injured again. She shows no emotion about the garish wounds she's received so far, you suppose that it is even possible she is enjoying the pain.
The beautiful woman stares deeply into Epi's eyes, cooing softly as she does so.
My, my, aren't you the pretty one? I could really help you out with your looks in my lab, missy. Why do you fight against me when you could instead fight for me? You should come to the side of darkness! MY side! Epi, Save vs. Spells please.

Ethereal Escape
Round 8
The giant Caine leaps towards the ranger just as she thrusts her sword forward again. The blade slides deep into the torso of the beautiful woman, but she barely seems to notice it again. Caine grabs her arm just as she succumbs to succubi's persuasive powers. The two giants now seem willing to do whatever the woman commands.
Angella exits a side door in the manor to see Ozwaldus escorting Brother Tomas into the front doors of the hall. Father Dowling exits the hall and escorts Ozwaldus back to his master. Everything around the three men goes quiet when the portly priest grabs the arm of the wiry trickster. Even before they reach the doors and despite the zone of silence, the Brothers holy symbol begins to react. The charms on the holy symbol begin to glow dully and then point in the direction of the woman. The demoness and her two huge bodyguards spin around to rush outside just as the trio enters the doorway. She hisses audibly upon seeing Brother Tomas.
Bleeding badly and completely unwilling to parlay with the town's priest, the woman realizes that it might be time for her to go. The defeated demoness's perfect body begins to dissolve and phase out as an acrid smell fills the hall. Her essence exits this world and is pulled into another before your very eyes. As she fades from your sight, you hear her seductive voice in your heads again. I only brought you misfits together because I thought you would surely fail. Now look what you've done! Now we will have to start all over again! My Brother is not going to like this one bit!
Brother Tomas stands there in silence as the being dissipates away. He stares at his holy symbol blankly, explaining that it had grown hot to the touch but is now cooling. The acolyte Ernie rushes in and mouths the words... Seven Heavens! What's happened here? Caine, Dowling, and Epi all regain control of their faculties. The pretty pornomancer still lies on the upper floor, bleeding out. A crowd of worried townsfolk begins to form outside the gates.

Epi
The ranger shakes her head trying to clear her thoughts. Epi looks around the room to see what she missed while she was concentrating her efforts on the now vanished demon. "Perhaps Brother Tomas or Caine could see about helping Orando and that guard. Then someone can tell me if we won."

Father Dowling
The portly priest will dispel his Silence spell. If unable to dispel it, he will move so that any healing attempt on Orando will not be interfered with.

For the first time in as long as he can remember, Ozwaldus doesn't feel like drinking. Up to now this all seemed like a game, but now... "Do you have any healing prayers for Orando?... If it's not too late." he says to Brother Tomas, looking at the mage's mangled body.

Krual Caine, half-human monster:
"WHAT THE BLEEDING HELL?!..." barks the heinous abomination against nature as it begins to contract and transform back into the shape of Sir Ugghra,
"... Has Transpired Here, In The Name of All That Is Lawful And Righteous?"
While Orando is certainly neither of those things, the holy horror heals him anyway.
"Let the Lord God Quo Return Everything To As It Was, and As It Should Be!"
Then, perplexed and confounded, the orc-blooded aristocrat looks where the mayor had been and proclaims in astonishment,
"Inconceivable! One of the Upper Class Involved In This Sordid Affair! I Must Say, It's All Rather Too Much To Take In!"

The Aftermath
Angella hides behind a bush, waiting for her accosters to exit the manor. She sees the two men come through the door and rush out into the courtyard. They stop to look at each other with confused expressions and then both men head straight for the gate in the fence. Captain Taneel begins to inform the gawking townspeople at the fence to remain calm and that all is well.
After asking who actually won the fight, the huge Epi and the sobering Ozwaldus both suggest immediate healing for the badly wounded Orando. Krual Caine transmorphs back into the pompous half-orc noble known as Sir Ugghra and reluctantly obliges. He runs to the spot where the elf bleeds out and calls upon the powers of Quo to heal the wounds that he himself caused while in his alter ego state of mind. The mage stirs a bit as his wounds knit, but he does not regain consciousness. Fighting back his embarrassment, Father Dowling dispels his silence and assists with the wound binding.
Brother Tomas and Ernie both look astonished at what has just transpired in their town hall. They both assist in the healing as well, each casting one spell over the prone elf. With the extra attention, the mage finally opens his eyes and breathes in loudly as he returns to the world of the living. Brother Tomas seems relieved that none of you died in this battle against utter evil. He addresses the group.
It seems as though my suspicions have proven true, but I cant say that I am relieved in the least. If a demon has taken over this town, even going so far as posing as the Mayor for several years, then I believe that we are in over our heads. I could feel that my holy symbol wanted me to confront the succubus, even though I have no idea why. I am certainly no hero. I have never fought against anything worse than a few nasty humanoids, and now we have a demon to deal with?
I can only pray that my suspicions at the tower were correct and that my dearest April yet lives. Unfortunately, I don't think we have seen the last of that demoness yet. I hate to say this, but I think we need to do away with her completely before any of us will ever be safe again. Has anyone learned anything about her during all of this that might help us defeat her permanently?

Sir Ugghra, half-orc aristocrat:
"Or," adds the swinish swell, "Is It Remotely Possible That You, Sir, Are The 'Brother' In Question?"
Regardless of the answer, Sir Ugghra regains his composure and further expounds, "Perhaps Lord Quo Can Shed More Light on Our Precarious State of Being."
He then utters an invocation to the god of eternal unchanging stability.
Casts Detect Evil and looks around at everyone, and at the Holy Symbol.

Angella badly injured, will avoid the two previous combatants, seeing their demeanour change for the better does not sit well with the monk
Finally she arrives at the others! "Are you all same again? You were bewitched by that Demoness. Her brother, that bodes ill for us. Perhaps another demon besides her. We are sorely outmatched as it is. I am in desperate need of healing!"

"Glad to see you're feeling better, Orando," says Ozwaldus. He listens to the talk of the brother, then, when he can get a word in, fishes out the portrait drawing he was examining before. "If we must... ahem... destroy this demon..." he glances at the room and shrugs, "... I feel I may have stumbled across a clue to her whereabouts at least, before we were so rudely interrupted. Look here." He points to the impression of writing indented into the upper corner of the page, as if another sheet had been on top of it when inscribed, "It clearly says "beyond the cages." There must be some means of getting past them we failed to discover."

Orando Magnus Gallus, alive
"Thank you Ugghra and Brother Tomas for the healing," says the revived Orando."I forgive you Kaine, for as the saying goes, true friends stab you in the front. I am alive. To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all."
The ancient elf brushes his clothes off, shakes his head disapprovingly at the rips in his fine fabrics, and listens to the others discuss April the demon and her alleged brother.
"Yes, it is a tricky situation. The truth is rarely pure and never simple. Beyond the cages... I suppose it's possible."
Orando winces at the pain of his remaining wounds. "Perhaps we could take a holiday on this for a day or two. Give us time to rest and read."
Seeing Uggrha having doubts about Brother Tomas, much as he did earlier, the elven enchanter intones the words to his second spell of Cook's Cerebral Consonance (ESP) and tunes in on the cleric. "Brother Tomas, do you know anything more of the history behind this situation, or of this brother?"
