Tiny looks scared & confused. He is sweating and looks flushed with fever.

He pulls up his shirt revealing a large scar on his stomach.

Den looks at the wound, then grabs a small first aid kit from the kitchen. He cleans and wraps the wound.
It looks bad. Definitely infected, but bits are nasty. He needs antibiotics. There is a medical center I work at , about 5 miles from here. They have all kinds of stuff. Maybe we could get supplies there. A better vehicle. They even have a helicopter.

After listening to the EMT he says That sounds like a place we need to get to before anyone else does! Our friend here needs some help! We ain't gonna just let him change into one of them....biters! I say we go take a look at least. It can't be worse than being trapped in this place.

My Uncle Lester has an auto shop a few miles from here.

Mel the owner loads a few cases of food & drinks into his office. He pretty much ignores everyone else.

8am rain continues. The fires are out. The rhythmic pounding continues on the windows and front door, but everything seems secure for now. The creatures moan and it is starting to get on your nerves.

To the bikers, We got video footage of the waitress being eaten and then coming back to "life". I don't know what's going on, but I don't trust anyone that has been bitten. Maybe medical supplies can cure the infection, I don't know. I think it is worth a shot. But guys, if he starts to turn into one of those things, we have to kill him. He won't be one of your brothers at that point, just some mindless "creature" that won't know you. I'm willing to take a chance on medical care for that bite. If nothing else, we should be able to learn a bit more about the situation if we are unable to fight this infection.

Derek turns to Norm and asks How close is your uncle's body shop to the medical center? If there are vehicles that we can use to get further away that would be a big help. Plus, I would imagine there would be some tools that we could use as weapons. We may not need to go there. We might be able to find vehicles at the medical center, an ambulance if nothing else, but having a back-up plan can't hurt. I can fly a helicopter if we locate one at the medical center. It probably won't be large enough to hold all of us, but we will see how many can fit and still allow the vehicle to fly safely if it comes to it.

Listens to what Derek and Dean are saying. Yes lets get Tiny to the Medical center. Chingy help me get Tiny up. We need to make a plan to get thru them things without anyone getting hurt. Is the backdoor clear. He listens for any noise at the back door.

Chance responds to Chingy's apology. "Look, I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do.I'm just trying to stay alive. Maybe we should vote. I think we should check out the hospital first. Maybe we can help Tiny...but I agree the hospital's likely overrun. We'll have to be careful. I have a car, but after seeing that ambulance, Tiny can't ride with me. He'll have to try his luck on his bike or another car.

As for getting out, it looks like the front is out. Maybe we can shove something against the fire exit for protection and open the door from a distance to see what's out there."

Steve watches Mel hoard the supplies and head for his office while the drugged-up bikers bicker with the others about dying for loyalty. Steve says(in regards to taking the biker to the Hospital), "ain't nobody ever died from a bite on the hand, Tiny can get himself where he wants to go. There should be vehicles there. Meds. A chopper. But the chopper only holds 4 people at most. An ambulance could hold all of us. We don't know if its overrun. Maybe there are survivors there. Everyone cant be dead.

The back door & fire exit door are metal and open outwards. You don't hear any pounding on them. But you cant see out either.

My Uncle Lester's place is on the way to the Medical Center. About 4 or 5 miles from here, and about a mile from the Medical Center. He should have some cars & gas there, tools in the garage. He keeps a shotgun in the office too. I hope he's OK.

He then speaks to Dean If you think we can get there, I'm for giving it a try. We can't just let Tiny go out like that. And like you said......there may be other survivors.

So we all make out way to the body shop. We check on the boy's uncle, see about more vehicles and gas. Then we go to the medical center. We check it out and make sure the place ain't swarming with these things. If it is, we move on. Sorry Tiny but we just can't risk all of us. I hate to be real here but as I see it, you have two options open to you. One, its just a nasty bite. If thats the case, we can get alcohol and pain killers just about anywhere. Or two, you are infected. If the doctors in the big cities couldn't cure this, ain't nothing in this backwater medical center going to do the trick either. I'm not speaking for anyone else, I'm looking at this as a run for medical supplies. With what they are saying on the radiom we need to get ourselves supplies for the long haul. Like that Red Dawn movie."

If he dies, then we have no choice but to get away from him. This talk of rising dead isn’t just a rumor.”

John moves to a center position and addresses the group. "I have a suggestion about our feverish friend here. We can bind his hands and legs during the trip to the hospital. If he dies, having his limbs bound isn’t going to make a difference. If he comes back as one of them, well, binding his hands and legs just might buy us enough time to escape. I think staying together as a group is our best bet at the moment.”

I think that sounds like a plan. Hit the auto shop, check on the uncle, see if we can get any weapons or vehicles then head to the medical center. If we can get vehicles at the auto shop, we can skip the medical center if it looks overrun. If it looks ok, we can try to find supplies, check out the chopper.
