Re: 3. Castle Ravenloft
I'm pretty sure the doors are not the ones we came in through as I asked what doors and stairs there were in the room not counting the way we entered that the DM said were closed and locked/barred.
"That or someone dose the bonfire if you can. But we must act quickly as the smoke is a bit much."Robert says with a big of a coughing fit from the smoke.

Re: 3. Castle Ravenloft
Sorry about the delay. It's been a hectic few days. I should get an update posted this afternoon, but here's a quick clarification. The doors I mentioned in the east wall are the ones through which you entered; they slammed shut when Strahd disappeared.

Iluq goes over to Vorkath to help him any way he can, whether trying to door or helping bust it open.

Re: 3. Castle Ravenloft
So there is absolutely nowhere else to go other than back out the front doors? Are you kidding me?
Robert will also try and help with the doors.

You react to your new situation and Vorkath’s strong response to it.
Robert pulls a sprig of mistletoe from his pocket and crushes it between his thumb and forefinger. He raises his hands and brings them together over his head. When he opens his hands, they emit a thick fog that quickly begins to fill the entire room. The fog, mixed with smoke from the fire, makes it virtually impossible to see more than a foot in front of your faces.
Tibbius changes form to an invisible stalker.
Agrippo tries to search behind and around the organ keyboard for a secret door, but the thick smoke, heavy fog, and raging fire prevent any useful inspection of the area.*
Vorkath, having done what he can toin this room, works his way through the fog and smoke to the doors leading back to the hallway and kicks them open, revealing dozens of bats that were attracted by the ruckus. The fog, mixed with smoke from the fire, spills out into the hallway.** The bats swarm about you, interfering with your movements and blowing out your torches yet again.
Actions?
* Any other action, such as breaking mirrors, would have to happen with the next move.
** The area of effect of Obscurement when cast by a 7th-level druid indoors is 7”x7”x1”, or 49 1”x1”x1” squares. After filling the 40x40 room, that leaves 33 more squares for the obscurement to fill.

Tumbler coughs and waves his hand in front of his face as he tries to get through the doors. All this blasted smoke and fog is going to get us killed! What is the point of this mess, he already knows where we are!

"Ah but my friend Tumbler this fog makes it more fun." Robert says with a chuckle having regained his composure and sense of humor.

Re: 3. Castle Ravenloft
Here's a map of what you've seen so far, with the obscurement cloud filled in.
Re: 3. Castle Ravenloft
"This organ is not the only thing we are burning through, do we really have to use all our arcane skills now? This fog will do nothing except blind and hinder us and stop any search for anything useful or vital...like Strahd? Bats are blind anyway and will pick up our sounds. can you not dismiss thing wretched cloud?"
Agrippo would like to search a bit more about the organ where Strahd was hoping perhaps he dropped some clues but I think the fog and smoke will drive us out. Are there any out side windows that he could break to let some smoke out? He will do the mirrors also.

Robert will just walk off ahead if possible, and he will not dismiss the fog. I'm a cleaner version of pigpen

Vorkath / paladin
"I do not like to fight in the shade like Spartans. Anyone have a magical light?" asks Vorkath, batting away bats with his unlit torch in one hand and sword in the other. He moves into the chamber with the suit of armor. He kicks it down and apart. "I will ruin his castle before staking his heart," he utters.
"At some point Iluq, perhaps Locate Object to find Ireena's medallion?" asks Vorkath."It was said to be a powerful item against evil. Perhaps we explore the castle as quickly as we can while your divination is active, so as to find it forthwith? How long has that godly ability lasted you before?"

Re: 3. Castle Ravenloft
Hmm how long does my spell last >.<
Robert will not stray far from the group but he will attempt to get most of the fog away from the others since it so annoys them. He will look as best he can around if we managed to get out into that hallway? the hallway.

I overlooked that thanks.Zhym wrote:Obscurement lasts 28 rounds. I included it in the spell-duration status line.
Robert is still going to be as far away from the group as possible without abandoning them so as to keep the fog away from them. "You don't like my fog I'll keep it out of your way as best I can Tumbler and Agrippo."

Re: 3. Castle Ravenloft
Another clarification: the Obscurement fog is stationary; it doesn't move with the caster.

Re: 3. Castle Ravenloft
Iluq begins getting ready to cast the spell on himself, "I can use my divine blessings to help find the item but it may only last a few minutes, we will have to hurry..." He begins chanting and casting Locate Object on himself.
It doesn't seem like I need to roll anything to cast this spell? So BAM I did it!
Iluq then looks around, letting his spell direct him in to the direction in which Medallion is

Tibbius flies out into the passage and through the bat swarm, exploring, fully aware that he needs to resume a form with familiar limbs before he can cast any other spells.
