I would say 1 for Gwil, 2 for Grim, then the last either Strom or Kal with the LOH for Shanny - thoughts?

Grim settles into a sweet dream of chasing off lasses through fields of briar. His content smile and soft snoring are evidenence of a Happy orc.

O'rek looks slyly at the group before approaching Grimnail with healing intent in mind.
Cure Light Wounds [1d8] = 7

... and hits him again with a cackle and a prayer:
Cure Light Wounds [1d8] = 4
"Lights blessing! I'm ready for a nap!"

Ah.... command. Powerful spell, when used the right way!
Muchos gracias for the excellent heals!

Ewell requested the relatively unused long sword from Alordan, and I didnt see anyone else ask about it. Is it safe to say he has posession of it?
Is there anything else that is not being claimed? Something someone would want Ewell to carry for them if necessary? he has capacity. Especially with his lance weighing a mere fraction of its normal mass.

And rechecking hp totals, Strom is only down 2, Kaltar 5 so:
Kaltar heals himself once more:
Cure Light Wounds [1d8] = 5
Well there you go!

Just a quick, informal post to post the results of the healing spells. Everyone is fully healed with the following exceptions:
Strom
11|13 =
(-2)
Shan.
4|6 =
(-2)
Epsilon
15|18 =
(-3)
Grimnail
15|20 =
(-5)
By the way, I'm thinking a capable warrior with heightened senses would probably be able to detect someone or something approaching it. While I let it slide this time, healing a sleeping barbarian (multiple times) will not be an automatic success going forward. Hopefully he'll reach second level soon so this will be a non-issue (that, or he not get hit anymore).
I will just need to know whom Strom will target with his lay on hands ability and should be able to make another action post later tonight.

Shannigans confirms that within the book are spells that he can learn, and after some quick appraisal of its binding, hands it back to Epsilon. "I do wish to retain the book long enough to transfer its knowledge, but it may be a good idea for you to carry it, if you don't mind. I could drop 6 lbs or so of gear elsewhere to keep from encumbering me but ..... It can be studied when we find time...and I'm doing me best to stay quick and up, already."
He smiles, with the same nervousness as before, but adds, "I can take one of the night watches, maybe even the first one if everyone still needs rest." He takes a bite of his rations, jerky, not his favorite and he looks back to OHare, and thinks of the breads and cheese.

O'rek, responding to the parties evident action of hunkering down for the day, asks "if ye of no objection, I'd be appreciative of bedding down here for the evening..." he waits for any overwhelming objection before unslinging his pack and tieing up some canvas and rope to make a quick shelter a bit away from the group..."I'd be up to standin' a watch or two this evening, no doubt, if that'd be needed...."

Er... Non-human barbarian with no XP bonus? 6000 XP might take some time... But we'll work at it!
Update Tomorrow

Blackhawk game just ended (6-5 win in OT) and it's probably too late for me to still finish an update tonight.
If I don't hear from Strom before my commute tomorrow morning, I will simply have him heal himself and post the next update anyway.

Uneventful Night

Strom uses his 'Lay on Hands' ability on himself (+2 hp).
---
The group remains in their designated camp and is able to spend another uneventful, restful evening (+1 hp). It is early morning and the group is now fully rested, with almost all physical damage healed. After everyone has had an opportunity to complete their standard morning routines (which, I assume, will include the prayer for and memorization of spells), the group must decide what to do.
Actions?

I think we need to go back to o'hare and investigate/save them... not sure how to reconcile leaving them to die to go cave hunting first.

Gwillt packs up his meager sleep gear and stows it away.
"Well... I don't think we have any choice in the matter. We need to head back to the town and see what's left of it. And, if possible, exterminate the rest of those damned trogs. I plan on moving out in short order, in any case. O'rek, you're more than welcome if you want to join us. We could use the help."
He moves to the edge of camp and waits patiently for the others, occasionally staring at his wrist for some unknown reason...
OOC: It's so hard to not use terms like "in the next 15 minutes" which is, I believe, a concept not applicable to the setting...

Would "In the next 15 segments" work better?

Ewell gathers his belongings and readies for the trip back. He asks aloud,"
Shall we discuss strategy along the way? I believe we have learned our lessons on getting split up. and of course, While I detest the use of those cowardly spells and arrows, I certainly do not wish to be offed by friendly fire...
