Re: More Anything Goes
Ok, the wife has been home 24 hours now. It's time for me to cook dinner. I really feel sorry for her. The ONLY thing I know how to prepare is red hot tamales (and I really do make the the very best, son los mejores) and she wont eat em.
Before she went in for surgery she made a batch of spagetti sauce, and froze it. At this moment I'm supposed to be stirring it.
Anyone know a good culinery wizard? Or is it culinary sorceror?

Fortunately for my wife, I cooked in a restaurant for three years in college to help make sure I graduated without any loans.Stonjuz wrote:Ok, the wife has been home 24 hours now. But... I can't really teach anything via forum posts. Although, one suggestion would be to make the tamales without making them spicy. Just don't add whatever it is you are adding to make them spicy, right?

Tooleychris, I was wondering if you've received my pm regarding my character for your gamma campaign. Id goes by the name of Goosh Goosh, and I think id would be an excellent addition to an adventuring team!

So I've been wondering - is your name Chris Tooley? Or are you just a handy man to have around in an emergency cos you carry a lot of stuff...kind of like a giant Swiss Army Knife?

Re: More Anything Goes

I did a lot of work with beta, development, programming, and design work for quite a few games under a dozen other names over the years and made a lot of friends in that time. Recently I was working on a new persistent world for the Game Neverwinter Nights and was chatting with a new friend over some scripting stuff and we realized we worked together before on another project. Both under different screen names. I decided to start using my real name to avoid this in the future. I don't want to be another "Neo" (there is no spoon).

Took him two sequels to figure that out...

He still got it before me though.
Re: More Anything Goes
During character creation, I did not give McLookout the bow proficiency. Since that is the only weapon he has been using, and since he has leveled in thief, how long before he can take shortbow proficiency? Gwilt has been a good teacher.

Re: More Anything Goes
Per the 2e rules (table 34 in the Player's manual), thieves get a new weapon proficiency after four levels from first, so you'll need to get to 5th level to pick up a new weapon proficiency. Casters have to wait until 7th level.Stonjuz wrote:During character creation, I did not give McLookout the bow proficiency. I just want to go on the record to say that I am visualizing this story arc as a the fantasy version of the dramatic assault on Rockridge, finally thwarted by Sheriff Bart and the Waco Kid...
I just dont think we have time to build a replica O'Hare before the trogs come a-ridin' into town, a whampin' and whompin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life.

We need to find seven guns for hire, THEN we can help the town folk set up a defense and protect the town themselves!
Or... maybe we could find seven samurai...

Re: More Anything Goes
I just wanted to let you know that I'll get you guys going here again soon. I attempted to update the game several times on Friday but was never able to connect. I figured it was just my issue, but I guess the site was experiencing server issues (see: site loading problems). I had a really busy weekend and some other real life things are starting to creep into play and suck away at my available free time, but I'll get updates for both groups posted later today.
