Garth looks to down the beast on him, striking with gusto.

Garth looks to down the beast (e8) on him, striking with gusto and dropping the foul beast. Kaltar follows Garth's lead and drops his foe (e7) with a mighty swing of his mace (yes, he does realize the halfling is down). Next to the cleric, Ewell continues to struggle with the triad of troglodytes he's engaged in battle with (e9, e11, e5), missing with his longsword. Thankfully for him, he is able to avoid the wave of attacks his opponents are able to level against him.

Alordan, fairly certain he wouldn't be able to successfully fire two arrows, switches to his more deadly long sword as he closes in on the scaly beast in front of him (e10). A vicious slash severely wounds the beast but it manages to not only stay on its feet, but successfully skewer the ranger (-5).

Just south of Alordan, the other ranger, Gwilt, faces off against the pair of troglodytes (l4, e12) he's engaged with, successfully finishing off the one he previously wounded. The still standing beast pokes at Gwilt with its javelin, mortally piercing the ranger (-7), sending him into an unconscience state where he joins Shannigans.

"Tao uh gohrak!" screams Grimnail as the barbarian attempts to drive both hand axes in either side of one scaly neck, sinking the first (e1), killing it. A claw (-2) and a javelin pierce (-4) later leaves the half orc in serious pain.

We have broken adventuring rule number one haven't we? If we survive can we agree we don't divide the party again if we can help it?

Whoops - second to hit roll for Crit Miss:

this is just some pathetic rolling on my part....

Re-rolling the attack for the critical miss:

Ewell continues to be distracted by something. He swings and misses yet again...
longsword to hit (+3 str bonus): [1d20+3] = 8+3 = 11 , damage1d8 (+4 str bonus): [1d8+4 ] = 5+4 = 9
So a 10 and 8 based on his weakened strength.

Grim tried to weave between the attackers slashing claws but the javelins deep wound drives defense from his mind as bloodlust consumes him.

Ewell and Grimnail are each surrounded by a trio of attacking swamp beasts. Grimnail manages to successfully escape all harm, but Ewell suffers two scrapes (-1)(-2) and a bite (-4), nearly causing him to lose consciousness. When the warriors have an opportunity to retaliate, only Grimnail is able to do so successfully, chopping one of his foes (e2) badly, but not mortally. Kaltar rushes to the defense of the knight but nearly brakes his mace in a rushed attempt.

Alordan was engaged in melee with a single troglodyte (e10) but senses a second approaching from behind him (e12), this second foe also armed with a javelin. The ranger nimbly evades their attacks but nearly breaks his long sword after a wild slashing attempt. Garth, en route to the fallen form of Gwilt, stops to assist the other ranger who's now under attack by flanking beasts but is also unable to strike successfully.

Ewell is trying to fight off the pain, and attempts another cutting slice with his sword.
longsword to hit (+3 str bonus): [1d20+3] = 13+3 = 16 , damage1d8 (+4 str bonus): [1d8+4 ] = 2+4 = 6
(so, 15 and 5 based on current strength)

ok, Ewell can only absorb 4 more hp of damage before he is a statistic. However, he can not get any more damage and still attack.

Epsilon rushes the group of the nearest friend he can help as fats as he can (looks like ewells gropu) screaming

there is a large group coming, we have to retreat, fighting withdrawl!

we have to withdraw, we need to decide, to the goat or dragon and try to baracade and make a stand, or just straight out of town to regroup.

I dont see how that is possible. We have 2 down. Ewell will be down this round unless all 3 miss.
