+1 to the well wishes, Zeb.

Had a lot of great fun gaming with you, man! Funny how you come to regard the people you game with (even the pbps) as close friends that share your passion. Wish you all the best and hope to see you around on the boards at DF.

Thank you guys. I'll still be around at the forums, the issue is really keeping up with the games in a meaningful way and not just dragging along.

Ron, I can't say I'm completely adjusted. In fact, I'm still kinda "camping" in my apartment - haven't even assembled the bed I bought a few months ago. Work and my dutch lessons are keeping me busier than I expected, but I cannot really complain about it. The beer is good and I get to travel a lot, so the only real problem is the distance from family and friends but I expect to have that sorted out (one way or another) until the end of the year.

Arg, the same here. I guess this is all about having some good fun with people who have shared interests, it's just natural that we build some ties.

We'll sure keep in touch, I'm pretty easy to find! ;)

Arg, don't let me forget about the black stone!!! :D
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Hey Wolf, just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be running your HM1 (and maybe even HM2!) module(s) at this year's DunDraCon in San Ramon: http://www.dundracon.com

They'll be rolling up 1st level PCs and I'm very tempted to start them out with little to no coin, as you did with our group here. I'll be requesting all humans for PC races but will also offer the multi-class options for humans from the DF Footprints. I really like your Rashtan setting and it should be a real hoot! I'll let you know how it comes off. Huzzah! :)

Regards,

Arg

Note: If anyone from our group or anyone on these boards is planning on attending, send me an email, post or pm for a spot in the game! I'll be checking :P

that's awesome! Too bad I'm on the wrong coast... Lot of DF and Alehouse guys out there in Cali, though I think Thorkhammer, wheggi, Foster and those yokels are SoCal. Jim Kramer is Washington, but I have no clue what that means in how close he is; since he's an OSRIC publisher though. Anyway kick butt, have fun, and tell us how the game goes!

Thanks, Ron! :P I've really enjoyed WP's game and think the gang would love to start up some new 1st level newbies. I'm also a fan of low magic and item starts but if they're good, I could be tempted take a thumb through WP's Tome of Minor Items...

Yeah, I jealously wish I could attend one of those So-Cal Mini Cons. After following all the threads on DF, hearing the AARs and seeing the pics, I've always wanted to make one! Wonder if they'd mind a defector from Nor-Cal?? I am only 6 hours or so away. Two tanks of gas, an energy drink...

Just wanted to chime in and say Wolfpack's HM-1 "The Disappearance of Harold the Hedge Mage" at DunDraCon 35 went over brilliantly!

I only had 3 players (one couldn't show due to health reasons and the other 3 got sucked into some board games and a huge Cthulu game) but it was a very fun & maybe more intimate gaming experience? I subjected them to some heavy roleplaying and added some of my own subtle plot hooks, as I always do when I run, but these guys did great and even committed some top drawer roleplaying to boot! They really dug the major NPCs of Rashtan (and the maps!) and got into their characters! We were all speaking in a combination of English, Irish, Aussie and even Scottish accents! :P

I don't want to give away too much about WP's module but they ended up still needing to either go into the mines or coming back to town to report to Korec and Talon. They can't wait till next year so I might run again soon and will keep HM-2 and HM-3 at the ready. A huge thank you to our illustrious DM for putting together a great setting and module! huzzah! :)

Edit: spelling, damn tiny phone keys! :)

Again sorry I have been away so much, I administrate the HR systems where I work and it is the time of year where bonus payments and merit increses are made so I have been crazy busy.

Another week and things should calm down.

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry but I am dealing with some major real life problems and will be unable to continue right now. If things get worked out in the near future I will message everyone and we can start back up.
