Re: Gull's Landing
Whether the guard believes Mave or perhaps he just wishes to keep an eye on this motley crew, nonetheless, he follows along on his mount to investigate their claims. You arrive at the scribe's just as the events below occur.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ruskin jabs out with his knife at the already injured rogue before he can strike again and deal just enough damage to send the man crashing to the cobblestones. His friend curses and hits out in retaliation at Ruskin but his anger and frustration causes him to miss yet again. Though Ruskin cries out as if struck as the poison surges again through his body.
Wilwarin presses her attack against Grobbo this time running him through. He grimaces and fall backward onto the alley's stone floor. He doesn't move though the woman who pierced Wilwarin with two throwing knife turns and starts to run down the alley away from the elf swordswoman.
Two foes injured: 2nd rogue (dead), Grobbo (dead), 1st rogue and woman (uninjured)
Ruskin 9/17
Wilwarin 10/16

Seeing Wilwayaisawen standing and little the worse for wear, Nis hopes that the urban undergrowth proves enough to make her spell effective. Someone aid Ruskin! I will try to stop this one!
Nis calls upon the power of the fey to Entangle the fleeing foe as she recites the rite in Sylvan.

Nis does her best to position the Entangle spell where the fleeing foe is just entering it. If the foe escapes, she will immediately drop it so others may take pursuit if possible

Mave
Mave won't attack, instead to motions for the guard to assist. "I promise you I will speak to my father about your actions if you assist," feebly holding the dinner knife and thinking she should have stopped and asked for her weapons before dashing out.

Re: Gull's Landing
Bryne delivers a mighty strike at the remaining rogue and he staggers backward seriously injured, dropping his dagger, which clatters on the pavement. Seeing how many he faces, including a mounted member of the town guard, he raises his hands in surrender.
The eastern side of the city is pretty much ignored when it comes to maintenance so the cracked pavement in the alley proves as aid to Niserie's spell, as the weeds sprouting through the pitted stones rise entangling the woman who attacked Wilwarin. Wilwarin breathes a sigh of relief as Mediphera gently speaks to her, "Hello, I'm Mediphera Gaunt, a friend of Niserie and let me just take a look at those wounds," and moves to her side to work her healing magics on the two throwing daggers still embedded in the swordwoman's slight form.
The town guard dismounts and looks at the rogue and then Ruskin, "What's going on here? Drunken fighting in the streets?"
Kade looks on with concern at Ruskin and then says to Torvik, "Commander, I'm also worried about Vari and Abaessa. We've not seen them since they said they were off to visit Abaessa's father."

Re: Gull's Landing
Nis' ears perk up in alarm at the mention of Abaessa missing. Which way would they have traveled?
She lays a thankful hand on Mediphera's shoulder and whispers, I'm so sorry for dragging you into this!

"Get him secured." Once someone has him she will move to deal with the entangled one.

Re: Gull's Landing
When others are in a position to take knife-girl into custody, Nis will release her spell do they can safely do so. I am glad to see you are not too much the worse for wear, Wilwayaisawen. What happened? Are there more we should be concerned about?
She will check on Ruskin as well, since Madiphera seems to be tending Wilwaren's injuries. Are you alright? You were very brave. Let me help you.
Nis calls upon the power of the fey to heal him.

Re: Gull's Landing
Ruskin thanks Nis and Thena for their concern as Thena tends to his injuries buffeted by a healing prayer of her own. Ruskin snorts at the guard's question, "Does it look like a drunken brawl? We were set upon by these thieves. The woman feigned needing help and Wilwarin insisted we answer her call. Since no GUARDS were about." Ruskin shakes his head at Nis' question about Abaessa, "I don't know where her father's house is. Somewhere near I think she said." The color drains from his face as he is again wracked by pain from the poison.
Mediphera laughs at Niserie's comment, "You didn't drag me into anything. I came of my own freewill and this is the most excitement, I've had in years."
The guard looks as if he finally believes the story and tells Lady Mave, he will take the two into custody. He busies himself with binding their hands, "I'll see they are thrown into jail, unless you wish to question them milady."
As she is being tended to by Mediphera, Wilwarin remarks, "We were set upon by five ruffians. I'm not sure where the fifth disappeared to. And Macree showed up and attacked Ruskin," she looks towards the wounded recruit with concern.

Bryne
Bryne will look around for any evidence of the 5th one that escaped (tracking).

Mave
Mave looks to the guard, "Yes take them into custody. We will interrogate them later if necessary." She watches Bryne, feeling very under dressed but hopefully they can track the one that got away. She also means to speak to her parents about issuing a bounty on Macree's head.

Approaches Wilwarin and lays on hands.
Cure light wounds: [1d8]=6 healed.
She will then assist Bryne in finding the one "that got away" for the moment.
OCC: Spell deducted.

Re: Gull's Landing
Bryne following the directions of Ruskin moves to what appears to be an abandoned building. Though there appears to be a lot of foot traffic through at least part of the two-story building. She checks out the upstairs and sees it has a window that gives ample view of the alley and two windows with broken glass in the front give a clear view of the street below and the entrance to the alley. Several discarded empty ration tins (that smell of fish) lie beside the window looking down the alley. Searching the rest of the building, you find a closed trapdoor, which if you open it up for a peek shows a ladder down into the darkness.
After the healings, Ruskin is still slightly injured and poisoned, and Wilwarin is fully healed, thanks to Mediphera and Thena. The guard having bound the wrists of the two prisoners remounts his horse and leads them by rope for the town jail.
This leaves you with three options, investigate the trapdoor and what lies below, try to track down what happened to Abaessa and Vari, or return to the Gallowhawk compound (where Abaessa's father Aurens waits).
Injuries: Ruskin 12/17 (and poisoned, his strength is sapped and normal healing won't help until the poison is cured).

Torvik unsure of what is going on continues to wait...unless he can hear trouble in a direction to go.

Nis will want to figure out what happe nned to Abaessa. Does Nis know where she was supposed to be going? wasn't if just to her father who said Abaessa never arrived?
I agree it would also be good to figure out where the escaped thug went

Re: Gull's Landing
Mave
Mave decides its time to take the bull by the horns, or the thief by the arms, so to speak. Grabbing Ruskin's arm, "We're heading back to my home. My mother and brother are both priests and I'm sure they can help Ruskin. Since Abaessa's father is there I will tell him to return to his home and wait on his daughter in case she shows up there. I suggest the rest of you explore either the trapdoor or try to track Abaessa and Vari's path. Once Ruskin is taken care of I'll return here with help. I'd be no help in my current attire. Stay safe and I'll be back as soon as possible."
