a) didn't Gerdal get to throw any dagger?, b) doesn't the 1d2=1 mean it attacks Cosmo?
Yes you threw both daggers, one hit, one missed.
One zombie runs into a hail of thrown daggers, impaled three times, bleeding from multiple wounds it crashes into the group by the corner. -4, -3, -1hp, relentless it claws at the dagger throwers.
My bad, it was Cosmo not Gerdal hit, I will edit the change in to damage in.

I dont mean to be that guy, but I believe my AC is 14 with the +1 Leather and dex bonus of 1, so with a 12 it missed.

Cosmo takes half a step back and draws his Military pick and strikes

Military pick [1d20]=16 [2d4]=6

Cosmo: AC notes.

I don't mind any challenge. So Cosmo has magic leather (padded +1) which is AC7 and -2AC from high dex (16) to make AC 5 as the magic ring doesn't stack with the magic armour for AC considerations but does add the bonus to Saving Throws. (DMG: ring of protection pg130).

However even with AC4, the Ravenous zombies act as 2HD creatures not as 2nd level fighters, thus they hit AC4 on a 12+.

Cosmo, I don't think I can use the oil at the moment since they're all in melee with us now :(

Trying to interpose himself between the Ravenous and our casters, another attempt with the morningstar

Sir Dewey

He expresses his approval of Copperpiece's aim. "Nice shot. Again."

While CP reloads, the Knight does his best to put the other zombie down. He's only able to smack it with his shield, though.
Flail(17): [1d20+1]=6+1=7
Flail Damage: [_2d4+2]=(2+4)=6+2=8 L:[1d6+2]=5+2=7

Sigrid

Sigrid pushes the pain from the undead attack from her mind. Another pain has pushed all those thoughts away. She is intent on immolating the troll, despite the cost to herself and continues that action.

Gerdal starts getting stressed that this went down the drain so quickly even though we did our best to prepare. She decides it's time to get this over with, and invokes her magic missiles against the zombie that looks most hurt.

Eldritch blast damage lv 3 [2d4+2]=8+2=10 8-)

Retain lv 1 spell vs 15 [4d6+1]=19+1=20 :(

Patra-patra steps up next to Gerdal with great determination and throws her javelin at the closest zombie

Patra-Patra throws javelin: [1d20]=20, dmg [1d6]=4 nat 20
Patra-Patra morale check, we outnumber them: [2d6+1]=10+1=11

Using the great GREAT NPC negotiation & morale tables in Judges Guild's Ready Ref sheets page 37. Don't have a morale rating for Patra Patra though, that should have been set at recruitment time I guess. I used the +1 because we outnumber the opponents.

I have no idea what the morale check is for? and I have never been before any Judge or their Guild.

Don't tell me you do not own any Judges Guild material for DnD? The roll is just a reaction roll, but translated to mean what the NPC does in a dangerous situation where 2 is panic and 12 is stalwart & inspired.

Here's the module:

Exploring the de Ogilvy Corridors.

Sir Dewey is reinforced by Amos and the duo press in the Ravenous attacking Isvand. Between them they score a minor wound, -3hp.

Orgoth impales the Ravenous that exits the cell a second time, deceased, giving space for Sven to trigger a shot at the another but his targeting is lame.

Cosmo shows the zombie he has picked on the wrong guy, 'picking' him back with a brutal hack that cracks the zombie's skull into eggshell pieces, deceased. Gideon misses leaving him and Sigrid open to attack until a javelin hurled by Patra-patra skewers the zombie, the barbed shaft going in one ear and out the other, impaling it to the wall and lifting it inches off his feet to dangle limply. deceased It leaves Gerdal to conclude the Ravenous rage by Magic missile attacks which pierce the one at the other corridor end. deceased it falls limply upon the floor.

Sigrid rushes by, her cloak soaked in oils, she reaches to embrace the Troll-Head in order to smother it and set it aflame. But as she grasps it, she discovers it is longer just a head but an ever growing, warty and grotesque figure. It leaps up as she enters, unaware that the regeneration has so quickly spread like wildfire; new flesh, bones and muscles regrowing with rapidity and lustre.

Trolls regenerate +3hp/round

"Come to me my songbird. Sing a lament my sweet." it says, grabbing her with one arm and hugging her close. Another arm, amputated and cursed to wriggle grips upon the busted cell door. It grasps the bars and swings it shut, not locked but now a barrier between those in the cell and those in the corridor. Shoulder tendons and rotator cuffs sprout from the Troll's body, magnetic like in drawing the severed arm closer to reattachment.

Both troll and mage drip with oil leaking from the cloak. It licks his lips, bloated and thickly plumped but doesn't yet bite Sigrid, instead it gibbers in more prayer to Orcus.

It could rend Sigrid apart easily enough but might suffer another fatality itself if it did so. One hand holds her, squirming but unable to break free, another wields the cell door as a shield in front.

Actions everyone please.

I will take everyone's actions, but unless you want to just directly try to attack it, I will use Sigrid's post as first one or at least give you options to react in response to her actions as well.

Isvand futility attacks the troll, wondering if fighting is really where his talents lie!

Sir Dewey

"Sigrid!" He exclaims as he rushes to the cell door, stopping just before barging in as he sees the situation. "Hold!" He puts a hand up and calls to the others to cease attacks.

"Troll, I see that you understand the situation. If she is harmed, you die. But it also works the other way. So we are at an impasse, what now?"

Orgoth

Orgoth reaches into his pouch and removes the leprechaun figurine, handing it to Sven and whispering into his ear.

For Sven
"In case you need to, try wishing the troll back into the box."
He then moves to be the first one into the cage when Sir Dewey opens the door.

"I should be the first one in if need be."

"The best looking huge piece of flesh you have ever seen,"

something that does not depend on language,

Sigrid

Sigrid makes no attempt to fight back at the troll's grip, she merely speaks to him in a calm tone in trollish, "You prayed to Orcus and he sent me to end your pain. A cruelty was done to you and I tried to set it right and end your slavery and pain. If that was not an answer to your prayers, I know not what would have been. But you rebuke the gift he sent you. I am prepared to meet the All-Father and know he will toast me for my deed. I doubt Orcus will be as kind to one who debases his gift."

She then begins to sing a dirge about a troll under a curse who offered a gift to a human to end it and was refused.

Sven is about to put the troll down again with an unerring barrage of missiles, but his hand is stayed, once again flummoxed by the actions of Sigrid. How can this mysterious, unnaturally brave woman remain so calm in such a dangerous monsters grasp, knowing it could rip her apart in mere seconds.

Understanding none of their conversation, and somewhat shocked by the sudden singing, he isn’t sure if he should release his magic or not, though the continual mention of Orcus doesn’t exactly sound promising. When Orgoth slips him his terracotta charm, Sven nods in understanding at the huge half-orc. “Good idea.” Since Sir Dewey seems to have the same intentions in mind, the mage doesn’t engage the situation just yet.

Unsure where this is going, and not wanting to disrupt another characters intentions, Sven will hold his action unless/until it becomes obvious that Sigrid will be injured. If that is already the case, or if Sigrid clearly wants out, Sven will fire off his MM at the trolls head.
